When parliamentary elections or other voting proposals are due, residents receive election documents and propaganda material. These documents vary greatly in terms of layout and quality. The layout and therefore the appearance play a major role in whether the content is read and viewed. For example, the elements in the flyers must be well presented graphically and aligned accordingly. This also applies to online material such as websites or mobile apps - we find a harmonious alignment of images, text and other media material that is attractive to our senses helpful for orientation rather than randomly placed elements. For such organisation, there are functions for automatic alignment in the respective publishing programs.
