The reaction has continued over the last 24 hours to the announcement of Budget 2023. One of the things we noticed was that the Universal Social Charge, once described by some as ‘Ireland’s Most Hated Tax’, is still there, with the band increasing in the latest Budget to salaries of just over €22,000.
