Today's guest Casey Viera is an avid basketball fan who has a personal connection to Hofstra University. While he did not grow up in San Antonio in 2014, he believes that their championship win that year was the most notable of their five victories. He notes that their wins before 2014 were often dismissed as boring and unappealing, but the back-to-back finals against the Miami Heat helped to change that perception. He is a big fan of validation stories and was impressed by the Spurs' ability to consistently win despite not having the star power of other teams. Casey's love of basketball extends beyond just the Spurs and he enjoys watching and discussing the sport with others.
