Welcome to the H D T V pod caps features. The H D guys are a dedi, an and braid now the H D T V podcast. Welcome to the H D T V and home theater podcast. This is episode eleven seventy five, november eight, twenty twenty four and is the first episode of november. So folk is IT the first is not last week was yeah, this is the eight.

So last week I had to have been the first yeah, catch me up and behind a little bit um alright, so it's not the first, but you can still find more information about us and and the podcast at ht guys dot com on the internet. And of course, when you get there, you'll find our links to help support to show. One of those is the patron on link patri on dot coms lash hdtv podcast. Very grateful to the listeners who have supported the show via patrie on and those who can help out that way. If you've got a little bit extra change, you can help contribute through patron, we would greatly appreciated.

And the other way to support us is by buying a cup of coffee on the website. On the right hand side up towards the top, you can click on the picture of a coffee cup and you get a selection of three different sizes, which are three different dollar amounts. We also have something that's called a caf pound, that's a twenty five dollar donation.

And you get a shout out with that this week. We have two caf powers, and the first one is from john liman. And he says, thank you to now three friends.

I believe I speak for a lot of listeners who are grateful to be able to listen to the great conversations about the topic we love and personal stories. I look forward to listening each week for the conversation. So thank you very much for that, john.

And we also got a cafe down from Bruce tian and Bruce, thank you so much for your cafe, pal. He has an email, and his email is long time listener, long overdo caf. Pal, I have recently cancelled dish network and move to youtube TV on the apple T.

V. I currently have a ring door bell, but I want to switch to an apple home kit video doorbell that will pop up a camera view on the TV when someone is detected on the door by camera. Can ara talk about his current set up in the door bal camera that he uses to achieve that outcome? Thank you both for a great podcast.

I look forward to IT each week. So Bruce, I use ring cameras and they're not supported natively through home kids. So I had to get something called hobs. And hobs is a box that runs on a rasberry pie.

You can either buy a box is already got IT installed for it's about two hundred and fifty box you connected to your network, and then you start loading, plugging. And the plugging in that I used was the ring pluggin. And then what they do is IT exposes IT to home kit to make IT look like a native camera.

And IT works well, however, because it's kind of open source, sometimes i'll doing an update and it'll break the camera, then you have to go back and figure out what IT is. I have had that situation happened to me, and what I ve decided is I found a version that works. And I don't update IT, I just leave IT as IT is IT can be a little clunky at times, but for the most part, that works.

There is also an opportunity that if you've got your own rasberry pie you want to buy once, like twenty five or thirty dollars, they sell the entire distribution on a secure digital card. So you plugged that into the rasberry pie and a boots up like its own hobs box. You don't have the the nice logo and the plastic around IT.

You're just going to have A A A circuit board that is your hobs box. Then the other recommendation, which I if you don't feel like dealing with the like linux, which is basically what hobs runs on and the configuration and that sort of thing you can buy in a car, a camera that's a native to home kit. IT works really well, a little bit bigger than the ring camera, but it'll run you about a hundred dollars, and that may be a Better way to go.

And that's a car is built A Q A, R, A. And get out of amazon. I have toyed with from time to time to just switch over to the a cara because of the issues that I talked about with the plugged in. But if you do get the car, let me know. And if that works well for you, maybe I will be the impetus I need to switch over myself.

Congrats, Bruce. On your journey from dish network to youtube T V, I made the same journey. I had a little bit of A D tor via um now i'm forgetting the name of IT.

But what was what was that? The main like the first D V R. That like almost ever existed, the main one for a long t bo.

yeah. I had the tvo with cable card in IT and had cox cable in that for a little while, then landed on youtube TV. When I cut the the cable cord but congrats on that.

Move to youtube TV I think you're gonna love IT and our next email is from brian and he says a this email is a you are I think because you have some common gear with brian says, hi ara luchon has had a spotless performance record in our house until now they just send us this email and the email reads the catheter or catheter by lutrin get ready for daylight savings time set a sunset schedule in the ultron APP if you have trouble viewing this email, read online via but on and on and on and goes he says, brian says, it's actually meant to be daylight saving time no s after the words saving and he says, I point this out jokingly because it's literally the only thing they've ever messed up that could say the system is by far the most rocks solid part of my whole home automation set up. If that nerdy mistake is the only thing they ever get wrong or remain a delighted customer, he closes with happy halloween and enjoy the extra hour of sleep over the weekend. We did lose our dst over the weekend against dark earlier now, but IT is light earlier in the morning, which is kind of cool.

But I had no idea. I always call IT daylight savings time myself. I always realized the savings IT feels nice to get extra savings.

Plural, zed, your savings. But I I guess i'm going to have to start correcting myself and called a daily saving time. I had no idea that you learn something new every day yeah.

I call the daylight saving savings as well. And this is one of those things where is just is common. Another one that people make the mistake of as I could care less, no, it's I couldn't care less, meaning the i've cared the least amount that I could possibly care.

So I just kind of one of those things. You know, another one is decimate decide is something a practice that the roman army is to do. When they conquered an army, they would decide, they would reduce the army that was conquered by ten percent.

They would just kill ten percent of the soldiers are they make you so they couldn't fight. And so it's only debt by ten percent we use designate today to me like it's completely wiped out. When somebody says that to me that I know i'm not a i'm not a jure, if somebody I don't know and I can kit around with them, they say, oh yeah, this thing got designated.

I said, oh, you lost ten percent of whatever that is and they're looking at me like, what what do you mean? I explain that story to women. They look at me like, why are you telling me this useless information?

IT only is desperate on daily .

saving time. Yeah, we ten percent of our daylight. Yes, we digress.

But thank you, brian, for that information. IT was IT got me to spill some more useless information. Oh, my turn.

Yeah, after that, brilliant thing. All right, and let's see this one. The next mails about apps and remote controls and IT comes to us from horny. And he says, I think the apps and streaming devices is a mega mess right now.

I agree with you guys that is best to have devices to keep the consistent interface amongst all the my house, I have only one, T, V. It's an L, G, with apps, and it's also connected to a roku. And IT was a mess at the beginning, until I hit the remote and train my family to use the roche remote.

I have a Better solution for that. Now I use home misses as my universal remote for every room in the house. And i've got three completely different homestead systems.

And i've created interfaces with the same look and feel, and, most important, with direct buttons for all the streaming apps that we use. The family does not know does not need to know what if they're running a roku or the LG APP or whatever else. Since it's invisible to them, they just need to know where the show is playing, like if it's on netflix or disney plus.

And I thought I was going to be hard to convince the four family members to use their phones with the homes system as a remote. But now everyone seems to agree that it's easier. We have constantly having visitors in the house for longish amounts of time, and would that with us? And I added them to home assistant without much of a problem.

Even my mother in law, who is over seventy years old, has been able to control the systems. And he says, i'd like to pat myself on the back for that. IT took a lot of work, but everyone's happy.

Now I would still prefer a harmony. But now I would need to add I, P, control, blue tooth and other things beyond just I, R and R, F, to be able to control and stream all the devices in our house. And again, thank you again for that email horai. I've not thought about doing a remote using something like home assistant, but that could solve a lot of people's problems because there is an issue about what's a good universal remote. Now yeah.

that's true. I we've had that debate since the harmony went away, but he even points out that even if harmony was still around, IT may not work in a lot of cases because IT doesn't have the the kinds of control technologies.

But my harmony, I was still around that might have upgraded to get from be added now yeah in our next email from quinsy and mississippi and he says I just finished listening to you or november first show, which actually was the first show of the month and he says you two were discussing how people find new shows and he's an android user, he says, so I use the google APP on my phone to discover new things. IT aggregates new stories throughout the day that IT knows i'd be interested in because my phone spies on me. So IT will suggest upcoming shows and movies to me regularly, and i'll add them to my watches and tract.

I also use the track APP to find out what's trending as far as shows and movies that are already out in case something, something, sneak under my radar. Because of this, I tried to avoid ads and pay for ad free streaming. I can tolerate ads at times, but repetitive ads anonyme and are rarely useful when I can avoid them.

I buried my head in the phone until the show i'm watching returns after the ads. Aside from that, I do have a question while I have your attention, has dvr guilt turned into streaming APP guilt in my track APP? I have sixty seven shows that I have yet to start watching.

The list keeps growing. Are we being overwhelmed with too much content if there is such a thing? Thanks for your time and keep up the good work that's from quinsy.

Uh at an interesting question, uh do we have streaming APP guilt uh I mean, it's almost like D V R guilt because you have shows that no sort of sitting there you that you know you want to watch on very streaming apps or maybe wash a couple episodes and you want to get back to, but then you have other shows that you're watching on other apps. It's I mean, I think you know within the the the scope of guilt or the spectrum of guilt, that would be roughly the same as dvr guilt. I do have a few that i'm waiting to get back to that I know where sit.

They're waiting for me and I feels like they're of looking at me with puppy dog. Ys, like when you coming back um and I I intend fully intend to make IT back. I just haven't made IT back yet.

Um I feels the same to me. Quench Y, I think he feels the same. Think I don't know that is replaced IT because I do have wow, no, I don't have anything in the D V.

R. I don't record anything anymore. So yeah, it's absolutely replaced IT for me.

I agree one hundred percent. And on the apple T, V, you can have all the shows at the very top when you get on the home page. And IT has the most recent show that you Normally watch on the upper left, and then you can scroll to the right.

And every now and then, off scroll down, I go, oh yeah, I ve got to watch episode two of that show. And it's wait down on the right side of all my shows. And the funny thing is, in the summer, I go up there and there's no shows because you watched everything, but now everything is back.

And I think IT, all right. I have yet to watch the next episode of N. C. I S. origins. I watch the first episode.

We liked that, and we're ready to watch IT again, but all the shows have come back and we want to watch. And that is the exact same guilt. And for me, you know, the world series came up.

So I wasn't able to watch a lot of the shows because we were watching world series and of course, hockey season is back. So while we're watching hockey games, you we're watching hockey games are not the shows or somebody who watches the show with you is out for the evening and you are forbidden from watching that. I don't know that happens in your house, but IT does happen in this house.

And yeah, IT takes a little while. So I suspect I won't catch up until maybe April. But then, you know, the other thing, in the summer, I was running out of stuff to watch.

We like survivor in this house. So I went and I downloaded at the time the latest episode of australian survivor, and we're almost done with that. But the regular U. S.

Survivor has come up and I said, note, we're not watching until we finish australian survivor because if we don't finish, if we started watching without finish, IT will never go back to IT. And sometimes I threaten the found method. You know what? This is a me episode.

Now i'm gna watch IT on my own. You guys are free to do what you want. No, no, no.

We want to watch IT together. So yeah, I agree with him. There's a lot of streaming guilt just like there was dvr .

guilt yeah and just as we're sitting here, i'm thinking through all of the shows and I know just in my head, I found probably five or six different series that I either started a couple episodes and I liked IT and I would need to get back to you or I know a new season came out. I want to watch the new season and I just haven't gotten to IT yet.

And I mean, I knew for me probably came out a couple years ago at this point because I just haven't gone to IT. Um yeah there's a bunch. So yeah, coin cy, I I feel you on that one. D V, R, guilt is now streaming. APP guilt for sure.

Question for you though, is there a show that you started streaming that you wanted to finish but you never did? And it's just so far down the line, you're probably just not gone to finish IT even though you wanted to finish. And i'll go first for IT was cobra I uh.

so with kubrick, I I started IT. I got through the first couple seasons and enjoy then I got kind of two. I overwhelmed by the teenage drama part of IT, and I stopped watching.

And I didn't wanna finish IT. So i'd never had that. I ve got to get back to IT IT.

Was I just kind of different? You didn't you didn't want to finish IT, but did anything come up that you wanted to? But I just kind of got pushed so far down on the stack. You just kind I think so mr.

mr. Smith might fall into that category for me. I've been wanting to get back to IT, but I just haven't had the the motivation because other shows have just kind of been more priority or been popped up instead.

Um I think mr. mrs. Smith, really well written. Um is that apple one? Yeah no I don't think it's that I think is who do um it's got danny lover in IT .

um I ended up watching that too and I did not like I I was one of those things that I started and I said i'm gonna finish IT I just didn't like IT .

yeah me I think was really well written. I thought that danny glover did a really good job in the show. I just know IT wasn't one that really grabs me and so it's not one that like i'm jump in to go finish the series.

I do kind of want to finish IT know because I can get a half way through IT and I want to see how IT ends. But IT just hasn't pop shops at the top quite yet. There's always something that sort of higher priority. So IT does feel like when I wanted get back to, but I just I just haven't .

yet all right, in our last email, really quick one from chuck. He is good about sending me great deals on large tvs. I think he's trying to prove a point.

But yeah, chuck, thanks for this email. Hundred inch TV at costco for one thousand six hundred and fifty dollars. It's a high sense one hundred hundred seventy and IT is A Q LED L C D T V Q A that's actually pretty good.

It's one hundred and forty four hurt refresh ate quantum dot and uh IT comes with the three year alliance warranty built into IT. So that extends IT out to five years. That actually is a pretty good deal. You you know a lot of process projection purest and I agree with them, don't get me wrong, are going to say no, the project is a Better way to go, agree. But for six hundred and one hundred and fifty box, if you've got a limited budget and you want an experience that is big screen like that and you've got the wall space and the ability amount this thing. You can beat this Price.

That Price is legit bunkers. I mean, when we've first heard about the the first hundred inch T V, and we talked about, and I think I mentioned every time, is like the TV that only mark cuban, canada d tita IT would have been at least one hundred, and that Price hundred and sixty five thousand dollars, probably more, and IT is sixteen hundred and fifty dollars for one hundred and two television, 4k and it's not a trump either, right?

Fork, Q, E, L, C, D, T, V it's it's a good that seems like it's spec's SE com dot. It's IT seems like A A good T V. I can't guarantee picture quality across, you know all hundred inches that screens is gonna great.

But you know speak wise feels like it's gonna a good T V, and it's massive. That is a crazy Price. Thanks for the email shock, and thanks for Robin. The fact that I don't have a TV that big. So disney plus has launched a top ten list.

Speaking of how you how you find new content to watch, disney plus has launched a top ten list to let users know what content is most streamed on that platform. The future highlights popular movies and TV shows from the streamer, and subscribers will see different rankings depending on their subscription level and parental control settings. Their top ten is composed by taking several factors into account, including total views at the episode and movie level within a day and the growing popularity of new titles released during a time frame.

The ranking also combines movie and T, V show titles. Disney plus is the latest streamer to include a top ten feature on this platform, which helps users discovered new content. Netflix launched its own top ten ranking in twenty twenty and also publishes its online so users can pick at what other people around the world are watching.

I use the top ten on netflix quite often when i'm browsing through the apps and the very streaming apps to figure out what am I going to watch. I all cruise through the top ten on netflix. I don't necessarily go through IT online to see what people are watching around the world.

But when I pull up netflix all through, what's the top ten? Usually the most recently released stuff that people are watching um but I check out the top ten. I don't have disney plus anymore, but if I did, i'd probably check out the top ten there as well.

But I thought I was interesting as IT took him this long to come up with this because it's not like you was like the article saying netflix has had this for quite some time.

Yeah yeah, it's not anything earth shattering and the the tech behind IT doesn't seem like it's anything earth shattering out either. But yeah, it's taking them a while. They catch up.

I guess they have Better things to do. All right. Samsung has announced is restructuring at semiconductor business, which will involve ending production of its own lds. The company intends intends to slowly reallocate these resources to other key areas.

According to samsung, the company will end production of L D chips for lighting in the beginning of twenty twenty six, an end L D production for TV during the latter half of twenty twenty six, with plans to exit the automotive L D sector by twenty thirty. So that's not saying that L D tvs are going away. That's just saying samsung is going to put their resources elsewhere. IT does say the market is getting smaller and I think they would rather put that research and development, that technology or that group to do other things and leave the lower and L, E, D type products to other manufacturers.

Yeah signals a shift, I think, in the market too, right? I mean, it'll it'll eventually it'll get to the point where samsung is not making them anymore right um at all. yes. So um when was the year of whole motivation or that was the .

thirteen, I think, around there.

So back in the year of whole automation, one of the things that, that we talk about quite a bit where the whole automation hubs, the smart hubs and the smart hubs were supposed to be able to control all of your devices, bring them all together so that you had one central place to control all of your devices. A lot of those hubs have disappeared and the promise of the hub has kind of disappeared with IT.

And there's a new one on the market that hoping to live up to that promise. And it's the lingua smart controller. It's a disk shaped object that let you perform a long list of actions at the press of a button.

After thinking IT with your smart devices, you'll no longer need your companion on mobile apps. Just tap or double tap its outer ring and you can tall hundreds of different products. IT supports platforms like google home, alexa, or of sure I shouldn't that one, but a amazon's smart platform.

Yale, if August phillips, you and smart things, it's simple to sink smart things with links. Rea smart controller, it's e ink display is crisp and clear and it's altering both rotates and clicks, gives you plenty of ways to manage your settings. It's rather Pricey at one hundred dollars though anyone seeking a new way to control their devices will find IT to be a cool edition to their smart home.

So the the promise of the smart hub, the single controller to rule them all still exists. We're back to the year of home automation now in twenty twenty four, they only have a couple months to get IT right if it's gonna twenty twenty four. But if you're looking for that single controller h to rule them all, this one actually is in a ring shape.

So that could work. They will link, sure, a smart controller. I woud a links to that, the news story, and you could find more about IT at the website. Ht, guys, 点 com。

yeah. So my take is that I like physical controllers. I've got them in the house. I good ipad in the wall. I wish apple would keep making the apology because it's smaller IT would be nicer.

But the physical controller having IT around anywhere in the house, where you can control anywhere in the house without having to pull out your phone or something or even talk to s lady or a lady, I think is good deal. And this device is, I mean, is one hundred dollars, but I don't think that's terribly too much. And be able to put that in four or five places throughout the house is a big plus. I only wish I would have made IT with a homekeeping tibble yeah I mean.

that seems like it's almost like the size of like a nest kind of has a similar function to where you spin the outside ring and click on IT. So yeah, that was pretty cool. All right, brain.

So you know that I was buying a whole bunch of airboat headphones quite some time ago, who was one as working at delta airlines. And I was doing a project with getting bluetooth to work with your personal devices. I was testing on a bunch of different headphones, but there was a great opportunity for me, just a test earbuds.

Now I haven't bought any, and quite some time I go through withdrawal, and then I found the sound core eight thirty. I, and there are only twenty dollars. And that was the main reason why I even considered buying these things.

Now, the earbuds that are housed in a lipstick shaped case, so really easy to Carry with you. They're light, wait and comfortable. And they feel almost weight less in your weight, less in your ears. They have noise cancellation.

But I says more like noise isolation because I would go from automatic noise cancellation to pass through mode and IT was almost imperceptible, the amount of sound coming in from the outside so they do block sounds. But I don't know that I would call noise cancellation with that caveat. That is noise isolation. I think you're going to work well in noisy environments or .

i'm going to read this as if I was ora and i'm going to pretend i'm you because you wrote this review. And so i'm going to do this in my best or voice in terms of audio quality, the sound core eight thirty ee delivers decent sound once you set the EQ. I wasn't happy with the any of the preset EQ modes, but increasing the base in trouble yielded a nice sound.

This is done through the sound core APP. You can turn on a three d surround sound effect to via the APP as well. But after about thirty seconds, IT was turned off.

Yeah, decision, ally. The earbuds feature four microphones equipped with A I technology that anchor anchor claims to yield Crystal clear calls regardless of the location. not.

So I made three test calls, and every one of them sounded bad to the person that was on the other end. Then I would reconnect with my airports. In the people that I was talking to said they could hear me much Better.

And range wasn't very good either. I put my phone on my work bench in the garage. By the time I got to the edge of my garage.

They were dropouts, and I tested that multiple times. IT wasn't just like a weird thing. They were legit dropouts. Ts, when I got to that point in the garsh.

So is IT all bad? Is there anything redeeming about these headphones? Well, yes, there is. IT only costs twenty dollars. For twenty dollars.

This makes IT a great stocking stuffer for a Younger child who who may be prone to losing things. It's also a good backup for when your airport d max starts to hurt your ears. Sometimes you need to give you your ears a break from the vice that's on your head.

Uh so twenty box and gives your head a break from the vice so not all bad, maybe not the best, but you getting uh, what you would consider to be your moneys worth at twenty dollars? Or do you have the ability to use just one of the ear buzz at a time? Or do you have to use both? Sometimes you can only use one or IT has to be just the right one if you're use in one or or whatever can you use either one is .

you can use either one. And that's why one of the things about the one, the earbuds to go in the completely block out the sound. I don't like that because sometimes i'll be working in my garage and I want the air buds in my ear, but I also want to hear outside in case, and I got the door open, somebody walks up, whatever.

And so the only way I can do that is by putting one of them in my ear and IT. And that works great for listening to podcast or something like that. Listening to music IT doesn't do any good but um yeah so you could use one depend what everyone you want to use you can use uh and I will still .

work yeah and I would say, I mean, if you're interested in IT, another redeeming feature about this is that they're very discrete. They do go in your ears. They don't have like the airport d style little stick that comes out of your ear that kind of IT all the way inside the your ear canal there you know they're difficult to see.

They come in different dollars. So you got what black, blue, pink and White available to you. So if you remember back, if you're a simpson fan, you remember back to way back in the the nineties, when the simpson first day started to air, homer would go to church with his walk man and listen to like football games in church.

And he would take a walk man into church. And we're like the old school walk man over ear headphones and listen to football games if you want to be a little bit more discrete in church, school or whatever, these headphones are probably a little bit Better than homer style walk man headphones. Not to say that you maybe should wear headphones in church, but anywhere that you may be in a wedding, you know something like that you want to wear headphones. Then this might be a little bit more discrete. We're checking out for twenty bucks and we'll ll have a link to those at the website.

Yeah, now they're comfortable. So when you go up for communion, make sure you take him out, because the peace will see that. And I think you'll give you dirty in the day.

But you know, the piece of .

matter would actually do that. Alright, black friday is right around the corner, and you may want to buy yourself a new four K, T, V. So those deals that you're going to a weight line for or we want you to consider a few things before you go out and hunting. So these are steps that you can take to ensure you get the best T V. For your budget.

So number one is budget has to be the first consideration. Of course, if you're shopping on black friday, one of your main considerations, one of the reasons you shop on black friday is budget. Everything else is impacted by cost.

Fortunately, you can get higher quality tvs for less money. When we first started doing black friday episodes, once you set your budget, you determine your size, which is the next tip. You can begin to decide on all of the other criteria, all kind of filters down from there.

yeah. So as you said, screen sizes is next. You want to choose the right size for your room, and this is where you're going expect us to come up with some a cool formula about seeing distance and screen size. That's not us. You measure the available space and you put the largest screen that will fit. Now of course, you do need to consider the rest of the items on the list and your budget but don't be opposed to knocking down a wall or maybe even buying a new furniture to gain those extra inches for the yeah all the money .

that you're going to save by buying your TV on black friday. You're going to spend in knocking down walls and buying new furniture for IT. That's alright.

You save the money on black friday. So it's okay, right? I mean, it's free money. It's free money at that point.

The T V, the truck recommended yeah, if you all, if your wall can't fit with the money you save, you can add onto a wall, or you can push out of wall. There are things you can do.

Yes, I mean, at a room.

Why not at a room? yes. alright.

In the number three that you're going to want to consider is the display technology. You've got the big three right now. The try factor of technology. You ve got to decide between OLED, q LED and L, D. Each has their place that will have an impact on screen size and quality. And by that we mean larger OLED will cost more than an L, D, so you may not get the sizes you want, but internet shell OLED offers superior picture quality with deeper blacks and viBrant colors. In his ideal for dark rooms, q LED provides brighter colors, is Better in wallet rooms, but can have slightly less contrast than OLED. L D is generally more affordable, but may not offer the same level of picture quality as OLED and q LED and L D of the tvs that you throw into, like the kids rooms of the garage of the bonus room, because you can get a really, really big for really, really cheap right then.

The other to consider is refresh erat. And if you're watching sports and uh in un to gaming, the higher refresh rates can provide an even smoother video if you watch movies and TV. And in that case, any T V on the market will have a sufficient refresh rate. What I mean by that, that is T V shows not just TV. Number five, on the this .

is H D R support. This one is very important. H D, R, or high dynamic range, enhances picture or quality significantly.

IT offers a brighter, more viBrant image with a Better contrast, meaning the difference between the brightest st. Brights and the darkest dark look for tvs that support multiple HDR format. So there's HDR ten, dolby vision, HDR ten plus.

Make sure IT has dolby vision at the very least. But HDR in a lot of cases, is actually more important than four k. It's going to be hard to find a TV is not four, but H, D, R, support is very, very, very important.

right? So then there are smart features. Most tvs have smart capabilities. Check the Operating system and preinstalled and the preinstalled APP to ensure that IT supports the streaming services that you use, whether be netflix, amazon prime, disney plus, eta.

If you're getting a smoking deal on a TV that doesn't have the smart apps you're looking for, don't write IT off. You can always buy an apple TV or roku box or something along those lines with the money that you just saved and then knocked down a wall to get a bigger T. V.

And next. Number seven, audio quality. This was kind of a non issue. It's almost like a red hearing or distraction. We assume that all tvs have lousy speakers, so consider also buying a sound bar if you don't already own one.

While you are buying your TV, you can pick up one that maybe matches or will connect well, of course, we also recommend that you eventually buy a multi channel system that includes a receiver in five point, one point two speakers. But don't get distracted on figure out which TV has the best audio quality or the best audio technology in IT. You're just going to spend a bunch of time on something that you don't want to use anyways. Don't worry about IT, ignore IT and move on to the things that really matter.

connectivity. And next issue, you can ensure that your TV has ample H D M I ports, including H D M I. Two point one, if you plan to connect a next gen gaming console, this is less important if you've got ta receiver is doing the source swetchine and then on connectivity .

to um make sure that has the network connectivity that you need you if you're going to use the smart option, you going to do a lot of streaming. You may want to go with a hardwired network connection, make sure that has a hard hardwired either net in IT you at least one on wifi because IT will do updates occasionally over time.

Some of those updates if you're not using the smart APP won't be that important but IT will do firm more updates over the wifi so you will want to get IT connected to the wifi um so check out connectivity IT will be important. Uh, the next one on the list is viewing angle. If you have a large room or you plan on watching from different angles, you know, cruising around the room, sit in different spots on the couch, consider A T, V with good off angle viewing. All that tvs are the best at this. If your viewing is head on and you you plan on sitting like right in the middle of the room, it's really less of an issue, but if your room is wider than IT is narrow or wider than IT is square, make sure you pay attention to viewing angle and off angle viewing.

And finally, look at the manufacturer warranty and customer service reputation. A good warranty can provide added piece of mind, and buying a brand that has a good recommend, good rapid, can also do the same. Using a particular credit card may extend the warranty likewise.

Buying from costco, like we said in truck email, boy, we ve referred back to truck twice today. They added three years. Costco did three years to the two year warranty.

So don't pay for extended warranties if they thrown in. great. But if a TV is gna, fail typically is going to fail within the warranty period. But it's an odds game and the odds are in your favor. But you know, you may be that one person that IT fails just after the warranty expires.

Yeah, by following these steps, you'll be Better equip to choose the right 4K, T, V for you. We hope you have happy hunting on black friday with sometimes like to live by curiously want to hear about you're is on black friday.

If you go up by a new TV, we especially want to hear about how IT goes if you have to buy all new furniture or blow out a wall to fit that new large TV that you picked up on black friday, how that goes over with the finance committee or the esthetics committee at that point, know you come in and say, all the money I saved on this TV, we had to pay for this extra stuff. Know IT was just a no brainer and we want to know about that story and how I feel sleep in on the couch for a few night. That's IT. Is that if for today would be good.

that's IT.
