GERD affects about 10-20% of the population in the western world. Here, we will take you through a brief primer on getting the fire out of GERD. This way you can help your patients enjoy their foods, live without heartburn, and be able to wake up in the morning without pain.

In this episode, we will discuss the differences between GERD, dyspepsia (also known as heartburn), and dysphagia. We will also talk about the different treatments that work and others that do not work. Then we will offer some lifestyle and dietary modifications for your patient, the treatment options and all the things your patient should not do when GERD attacks.

We just put together a brand new course for primary care clinicians, which we're looking to give away for free! If you're a PA or NP working primary care (you can't be a student) and are willing to give us feedback on the material, here's how you can get full access to this free course: https://www.medgeeksmentorship.co/primarycare)
