On this week’s episode, Mark and Dr Gladden are joined by Dr. Ron Ehrlich, Australian Holistic Dentist, to talk about the importance of oral care while striving towards better health and longevity.

Dr. Ehrlich shares his fascination with dentistry and how oral care, or a lack thereof, can affect every part of our bodies. He explains how different forms of chronic pain can originate from our mouths due to improper care of our teeth and gums.

The group moves on to discuss that the way that most people discount the importance of oral care can lead to systemic health problems down the line. Maintaining a nutrient-rich diet helps to support our teeth and gums as well as aiding in proper digestion and overall health and wellness.

They finish up by talking about the idea of not only breathing, but “breathing well.” Dr. Ehrlich gives insight into mouth-breathing versus nose-breathing and ways we can train ourselves to breathe more frequently and more deeply through our noses.
