This week on Just Havin a Crack our guest is respected commentator journalist Peter Meares.Moving down from Forbes to boarding school, Peter thought he was going to be a professional sportsman. Well, that was until he had that conversation with his father. His dad's words of wisdom were very simple.... your dreaming.Peter applied for a cadetship at the ABC as a commentator, by chance he landed the job. From there Peter worked in Sydney till his journey took him to Tasmania and then Brisbane.All chance appointments.Peter's career is filled with moments in sport where sometimes you just have to pinch yourself. Cricket, Rugby League, Commonwealth Games, Golf and Olympics.Through Television and radio, Peter is one of the most respected figures of his craft.
