His career was cut short because of work commitments, Ashley turned his hand to coaching and is an acclaimed journalist.Ashley played in an era where the names like Benaud and Laurie were replaced with Chappell, Lillee and Walters.World Series Cricket Ashley was part of the defection and recalls the phone call he received from #DonBradman to stay with the establishment.With #NathonLyon playing his 100th Test at the Gabba at the time of release, he recalls his involvement with Lyon and his rise to being a great finger spinner for Australia.Ashley's has now written many books for which he is internationally recognised. He fondly recalls the book he wrote #LordsDreaming The Story of the 1868 Aboriginal Tour of England and Beyond. He talks about #JohnnyMullagh for which the MOM at the #BoxingDayTest is now the receiver of the Johnny Mullagh Medal.
