Today we feature from State of Origin Legend and Kangaroo Trevor "The Axe" Gillmeister.Gilly was a tackling machine, he renowned for his perfect low technic which he would bring them down like trees hence his nickname "The Axe".Trevor grew up in a humble hard-working family and rugby league was his chosen sport. In fact, his father built the clubhouse (OLD) at Banyo Football Club (The Bora Ring).Trevor and the family moved around following work when he was young. When the family returned to Brisbane, he joined Northern Suburbs the mighty devils. Well, you could say the rest is history.Brisbane Football, NRL, State of Origin, Kangaroo, coach and media personality Gilly has achieved it all.
