Doug is old-school growing up in the tuff Western Suburbs of Melbourne. Braybrook where footy and cricket were his passions, like all Aussie kids. Doug just happened to be an exceptional AFL footballer.Doug play predominantly for Footscray Football Club and had a close association with the great EJ Whitten who just happened to be a Braybrook local as well.Doug learnt very quickly how to mix it with the best of his era, he was very quick-witted and very much the larrikin. Underneath that, was a fierce determination and pride of who he was and who he represented. He loved the Footscray Football Club.This podcast you will laugh but you will also see another side of Doug that you wouldn't expect. I guess that's what Just Havin a Crack is about.
