Although each day is similar, we have still made progress.Progress 就是进展进度的意思。quarter 就是四分之一的意思，一学年四个学段，每学段表现由一个progress report和一个report card总结。各科老师先给一个报告家长，对学生学习态度上给予说明，有问题需要关注及早让家长知道。再过几个星期还要出有分数的成绩单总结四分之一段的学习成绩。I know last week was school spirit week, can you tell us what it is.
Each day of the week has a certain theme. Student can dress according to the theme. For example, one day was Hawaii day. Students can wear floral shirts (花衬衣）and leis（花环）. The end of the week is the day kids wear our school colors. The day ends with a pep rally featuring the school varsity sports teams.
都知道美国人爱主题party，从中小学就开始有按主题自己照此着装的活动，也难怪化妆表达成了国民们的主流娱乐习惯。也是给予孩子们发挥创意的机会。最后一天要穿学校的颜色，各体育团队要在操场游行，彰显学校团队精神。Of all these themes, which one you personally prefer and whyI guess I like pajama day the best because I can wear very comfortable clothing.pajama就是睡衣家居服。要是可能我也宁可天天穿睡衣。How well is spirit week accepted?To be honest（老实讲）, spirit week is not super well accepted. Most kids don’t dress according to the theme. The people who do, often use it as an excuse to take pictures for social media rather than to celebrate school spirit and unity. 社交媒体下长大的孩子要通过这个途径表达个人主义，也很正常啊。同为学校一份子，在一个主题下着装也算学校集体的一部分，我倒觉得不矛盾。总之就是给一个让学校生活有趣的机会了。这一周的事情我们就说到这里。
