Shownotes Transcript

At the age of 30, Elle Halliwell was at the top of her game.

The Fashion Editor for the Daily Telegraph, regular stints on Channel 9 as the entertainment reporter, and even a weekly show on the Nova radio network, when seemingly out of nowhere, she was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, turning her world upside down.

Then, deep in the midst of coming to terms with the shock of her diagnosis, 48 hours later Elle found out she was pregnant.

She was faced with the impossible decision: terminate and begin life saving treatment? Or proceed with the pregnancy and risk her life?

Elle shares what it was like to experience the duality of life and death, receiving treatment in the cancer ward and the maternity ward at the same time, her successful career, her beautiful baby boy Tor, the lessons she's learnt along the way, and how she wants to use her story to inspire others.
