Before Ryan Ellis started making music he was in the navy, which opened his eyes to the world and saw a whole bunch of things most couldn't even dream of. After his service he was left with nothing but a guitar which he put to good use and played in small coffee shops and basically anywhere who’d have him. He's quite open about having had a chaotic life before he found Jesus, just trying to make it in this world on his own until he walked in faith and started writing songs that just made sense and spoke of the new life and faith he now has. God opened doors for him to write for some big names in the biz like Natalie Grant and Matt Redman. Eventually releasing his own music which he saw touch people's lives like he’d never imagined,. Ryan admits life is the struggle but absolutely worth it. He says he wants to give people a real opportunity to encounter God. Just him and a guitar singing songs and seeing what happens. Getting people in front of God is all that matters.
