Danny Gokey became famous overnight after a hugely successful yet at times controversial run on American Idol. Appearing just weeks after his wife passed away Danny found his decision to proceed at times alienated him yet also evoked huge amounts of good will and empathy from the Americian public.
He is the 5th of 6 kids which made him learn very quickly to toughen up and how to work a room.
Having been through some terrible personal tragedies Danny is the master of not making his gifts about him. He always try's to set his mind on others because in his words "Self Steels".
