CHINA POST ISSUES STAMPS TO MARK YEAR OF THE TIGER 虎蕴吉祥！虎年生肖邮票正式亮相 China Post today issued a set of two stamps to mark the upcoming Year of the Tiger. The postage value of each set is 2.4 yuan. A total of 79.2 million commemorative**【纪念的】 stamps will be issued. Zhang Hong tells us more. 为了纪念即将来临的虎年，中国邮政于1月5日正式发行特种邮票（一套两枚）。全套纪念邮票面值为2.4元，计划发行量为7,920万枚。 At 5am, stamp collectors were lining up at a post office on Sinan Road**【思南路】to buy the Year of the Tiger stamps. The message went viral【（在网络上）疯传】on Chinese social media yesterday, but both the JD.com Kindle shop and Amazon China’s customer services have since said they have received no notice that Kindle would be pulled from China. REGULATOR FINES TECH GIANTS FOR FAILING TO REPORT MONOPOLY DEALS 反垄断再出重拳！腾讯、阿里、B站被罚** The government’s market regulator today slapped heavy fines on tech giant Tencent, e-commerce giant Alibaba and video sharing platform Bilibili, for violating the anti-monopoly law. 1月5日，国家市场监管总局对违反反垄断法的企业处于巨额罚款，其中包括科技巨头腾讯、电商巨头阿里巴巴, 和视频分享平台哔哩哔哩。 The State Administration for Market Regulation**【国家市场监管总局】 announced 13 cases of violation and issued fines of 500,000 yuan（about USD$80,000）per case. Tencent was involved in nine of the cases and so was fined 4.5 million yuan（about USD$700,000）in total. The fines are in line with China’s efforts to enforce anti-monopoly regulations, and most were levied for unreported share purchases in suppliers and logistic providers. South Korea’s presidential National Security Council today held an emergency meeting, expressing concerns about the DPRK’s launch of a projectile that was believed to be a short-range ballistic missile.
