A 52-year-old person has been found positive for #Coronavirus and is Assam's first #Covid19 patient. He is undergoing treatment at Silchar Medical College. His condition is stable.

People from Assam who attended jamat in Delhi asked to report  govt. hospital. "If there is anyone from Assam who attended the religious congregation of Tablighi Jamaat at Hazrat Nizamuddin in Delhi, please IMMEDIATELY report voluntarily to the nearest government hospital or by calling Helpline no # 104, " tweeted Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma

Meghalaya Govt has ordered liquor to be home delivered amid lockdown. According to an official order, "Meghalaya government has approved home delivery of liquor on health grounds strictly against medical prescriptions issued by the registered medical practitioner...Bonded warehouses may be allowed to sell and provide home delivery of liquor as a special case with immediate effect up to 14th April, 2020 (midnight) until further orders to customers who are 21 years old and above."

Due to coronavirus pandemic that has caused lockdown throughout the country, last date for the renewal of all kinds of Excise licenses has been extended until April 30. Additionally, due to lockdown, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India has extend validity of Driving licence, permits and registration that expired since February 1st 2020. Such documents are to be treated as valid till June 30th 2020, the Ministry said.

The current 21-day lockdown has caused an increase in domestic violence cases in the country. "The number has increased. Men are frustrated sitting at home and are taking out that frustration on women. This trend is especially seen in Punjab from where we have received many such complaints," said Rekha Sharma, chairperson, National Commission for Women (NCW).

Ministry of Tourism  has come up with a portal to disseminate information regarding services that can be availed by foreign tourists who are in India far away from their home land. The portal is titled ‘Stranded in India’ and aims to act as a support network for foreign tourists  in various parts of the country.

Fugitive liquor baron Vijay Mallya wants help from Indian Government amid lockdown. With all  his companies which have effectively ceased operations and all manufacturing  closed as well, Mallya tweeted, "Yet we are not sending employees home and paying the idle cost. Government has to help."

Karnataka Government  has developed an app so that people in home quarantine can send hourly selfies. Failure to do this will result in penalty. People will be put under mass quarantine. The data will be corroborated with GPS.

A man from Haryana burnt himself while using hand sanitizer in kitchen. He was sanitizing his keys and mobile phone and his wife was cooking in the kitchen, when his kurta caught fire. The man has received 35 % burns. His face, neck, chest, abdomen have received burns.

Residents in Wuhan claim that the actual death toll in Wuhan is higher than what the government has declared, according to reports.Residents say the number of urns that arrived at funeral houses is an indication that actual figures are higher than what the Chine government has said.

Britain’s Prince Charles has come out of self isolation after testing positive for coronavirus. The 71-year-old prince tested positive for coronavirus after which he self-isolated himself for seven days. He has now come out of self-isolation and will continue to work from home.
