Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma provided updates related to Spanish Garden COVID-19 case. So far 98 samples collected out of 112; 85 negative out of them.
Sarma said that so far 128 samples related to the Nizamuddin Markaz are yet to be collected. According to the list obtained, 831 people from the state had attended the Markaz. 50 have not arrirrived in the state. 100 people are not related to the event. 617 samples were to be collected. 491 samples have been collected and 128 samples are yet to collected.
Sarma said that post lockdown the number of residents of Assam entering the state from outside needs to be regulated. For that purpose, the state government is thinking of launching a website from which permit could be obtained by residents to enter the state. Sarma said that residents will enter in phased manner so that they can be quarantined properly.
A website will be launched to invite volunteers to help the state during this period of crisis, said Health Minister of State, Himanta Biswa Sarma. Doctors and nurses who do not stay in the state can also enroll themselves to help people out or provide their expertise.
Doctors, nurses, paramedics of Private hospitals which have signed MoU with Assam government will be provided with Rs 50 lakh insurance cover if something happens to them while treating coronavirus patients. The announcements were made during a press conference.
