All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) and All Assam Mottock Yuva Chatra Sanmilan (Tinsukia District) supported by other indigenous organizations launched ‘Gana Hunkar’ programme against Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 on Friday. Dates for the annual bilateral summit between India and Japan will be announced very soon, Raveesh Kumar, Official Spokesperson, Ministry of External Affairs, India informed media during a press briefing. Former footballer and ex-BSF Commandant Nikunja Brahma of Kokrajhar, who represented Assam in national level football tournaments, breathed his last recently after a brief illness at a private hospital at Coochbeher in West Bengal. He was 68 and leaves behind his wife, two sons, daughter in law, granddaughter and host of relatives.
