**Strictly adhere to lockdown norms in view of coronavirus outbreak: Sarbananda Sonowal **- Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday urged people to fully adhere to the norms of the lockdown enforced by the State Government in view of coronavirus outbreak. “As no vaccine has yet been ready, awareness and alertness of people are the basic tools to fight against this virus,” Sonowal said in a statement.

Assam Assembly passes three important Bills on school education - The Assam Legislative Assembly (ALA), on a concluding day on Tuesday, unanimously passed three important Bills related to school education. While one of the Bills proposes to make teaching of the Assamese language mandatory for all schools — government as well as private; the other two Bills is on regularizing the transfers and postings of teachers in the government schools; and fees in the private schools.

**Three held for gambling at Katalasuwa Gaon in Demow **- All Tea Tribes Students’ Association (ATTSA) Demow branch activists caught three gamblers and handed them over to Demow Police on Tuesday. According to sources, the gamblers were gambling in a field at Katalasuwa Gaon near the Deroi River near Demow.
