**1. Observe Ramzan without lockdown violations, says Assam Wakf Board - **Muslims across Assam will have to offer namaz and do iftar (breaking fast) at home during the coming Ramzan month starting Saturday due to ban on congregations at mosques/shrines during the extended nation-wide lockdown to prevent spreading dangerous coronavirus.

Teachers will get salaries without online class diaries: Sarva Shiksha Abhijaan - **Faced with protests and resentment, the State Education department has made it clear that teachers of the government schools will not have to submit diaries about conducting online classes during the ongoing lockdown to receive their monthly salaries.
**3. National Food Security Act card holders to get 1 kg pulses for three months - **The State government will be providing 1 kg Masoor dal free of cost to each family having the National Food Security Act (NFSA) card for three months till June. This is the first time that pulses will be given to such beneficiaries. The distribution will commence from this week in a phased manner. The pulses to be made available by NAFED (National Agriculture Cooperative Marketing Federation) will be distributed by the Food & Civil Supplies Department through the PDS (public Distribution System) outlets.
