1. **Pub Guwahati Iddgah can be used as isolation centre for corona patients: Nekibur Zaman - **The State Health Department can use the Pub Guwahati Iddgah at Islampur area in the city as an isolation centre for corona positive patients, said Nekibur Zaman, president of Sarania Kabarastan Committee.

**2. Assam is faced with a fresh challenge apart from Tablighi returnees: Himanta Biswa Sarma - **State Health and Family Welfare Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that Assam is faced with a fresh challenge – apart from the Nizamuddin Tablighi returnees, Tablighis from other States did enter Assam from March 21-22, and three of them have tested corona positive. The total number of corona positive cases in the State so far is 25.

**6. Despite corona fear, Railway workers continue doing their duty - **Without caring for own lives Indian Railway personnel like many others continue to provide service. As for instance, through New Bongaigaon junction of North East Frontier Railway, regularly 30 to 40 goods trains pass upward and downward. All category staff related to train movement like station master, signal and telecommunication, electrical, trackmen, gateman and gangmen are performing their duties regularly without caring about their personnel safety.

**7. Assam Police has made over 900 arrests with 393 cases being registered amid lockdown - **Amid the 21-day nationwide lockdown, Assam Police has made 930 arrests in the state with 393 cases being registered till 4 pm, Friday.

**8. 70 people will be quarantined for 14 days at Sarusajai camp in Guwahati - **A total of 70 people will be quarantined for 14 days at the Sarusajai Camp, who came in contact with five identified corona positive patients from Morigaon and Nalbari. While 45 people arrived at the camp on Thursday, 25 arrived on Friday.

GMC along with Fire & Emergency Safety Department continues sanitization drive - **The Guwahati Municipal Corporation along with the Fire and Emergency Safety Department continued the disinfectant spraying drive, on Friday. The sanitization programme started from 2:30 pm after the teams assembled at Bharalumukh Division 1 GMC office.

**10. 5,475 persons stranded in other States assisted: Assam Government - **Altogether 5,475 persons from Assam presently lodged in various States across the country have been provided assistance of various kinds from the government side in view of the public health emergency and the 21-day nationwide lockdown to contain novel coronavirus.
