After playing professional rugby for 16 years most notably with Connaught, Northampton and Leinster where he won club rugby’s biggest prize, The Heineken Cup.

Which many might look at as a pinnacle in any persons life but the end of his rugby career was just the start of an awe inspiring, jaw dropping list of feats that this man has achieved. Since hanging up his shirt Damian has become one of the World’s foremost extreme adventurers; undertaking some of the most demanding physically and mentally challenging feats on the planet, including the 257km Sahara Desert ultra marathon, climbing 5 of the 7 summits and, the reason why we were so keen to invite him on to Solo Powered he has also rowed solo and unsupported, 5000km across the Atlantic Ocean. Just last year Damian was first person in history to row from New York to Galway after 112 days at sea. He also stole the show at this years Pendulum summit in his capacity as an inspirational speaker. This is an incredible episode not to be missed. Hosted on Acast.
