British Literature is a critical aspect that is very important to the human being and its surroundings. Not only is it a topic or even a book you can read, but it is a therapeutic experience that has made an impact throughout the years. The reason why I chose the question of why British Literature is important is because British literature identifies women as an acceptance of men's oppression. I feel that women have more potential than just being under the skirt of any man. I decided to do research by not only analyzing stories that we have read in class, but a topic that is very important to me is Nursing. Although women have rights fortunately in today’s time, women tend to be stereotyped as Nurses while men are stereotyped as men. The realization that the existence of stereotyping still exists even to this day is what is the reason why British Literature has a bigger picture to see. I discovered that British literature has not only saved lives, but it has also taught us how love and marriage have changed throughout history. In conclusion, British literature has more to it than just reading a book or even words, it is actually to learn and improve so that history does not repeat in the society we live in today.
