In Genesis 38, we read the story of Tamar, a woman who was sexually used, abused, and tossed aside. At first glance, her story seems like a modern-day mini-series with a questionable rating. Yet it is woven with threads of grace, redemption, and hope. There is so much more to her than we might understand with a cursory reading of her story. Tamar shows us what it means for a woman to be a warrior, fighting for the kingdom of God. Her story reminds us that God’s ways are higher than our ways. And He is bigger than the sins, mistakes, and violations committed against us. Anyone who thinks the Bible is a boring book full of outdated stories has not read the tale of Judah and Tamar.**Helpful links:**Genesis 38)
