The Government has a strict target for all newly leased buildings to reach a ‘near Zero’ energy rating by 2025. But according to research from Savills Ireland, only 2 of the 238 buildings leased by the government are A-rated and it signed leases only last year for almost 100,000 sq feet for C or D-rated properties.

It all means the State will have a mountain to climb to achieve its own targets for low-energy buildings. For more on this Joe was joined on the show by Orla Coyle is the Director of Sustainability with Savills Ireland.
