Hello, my beautiful friends, and welcome back to another episode of the podcast. So today we are going to talk about a topic that has been so highly requested from so many of you guys, and it's the topic of the day.

And I can't wait to share all about it. So today we are talking about how I healed my cystic acne naturally. So no birth control, no antibiotics, no Accutane. And if you know a little bit about my story, if you've seen any of my reels or TikToks,

you know how bad my acne was. I had cystic acne for years, years, years, years. I went to every doctor, every dermatologist, every facialist, and I honestly for so long felt like acne was just kind of part of the cards that I was dealt in this life, and I felt very much a victim because I

Other women get to have beautiful skin and get to inherit these genes. And I was in this mentality of, okay, this is just something that I inherited from my dad's side because my dad's side, my grandma had a lot of acne. My dad had a lot of acne growing up. And so I just kind of had believed that for so long that this would be my reality. Like I would just have acne my whole life.

And if you are someone who has dealt with acne, you know the struggle. You know how much it impacts your confidence. And you know how much it impacts the way that you feel about yourself. And so today I want to create this episode for any of you guys that need that support and need that feeling of knowing that you're not alone in this. But I'm also going to be sharing all my journey, all of my tips, everything that has worked for me.

But I'm also creating this episode for my past self as kind of like a full circle moment because now, as you guys know, my skin is radiant. It's glowing. Obviously, time and here and there, if there's any hormonal imbalance happening in my life, then I will have a little bit, but nothing like it was ever was where it was cystic and inflamed and just so much was going on with my skin. And so I just want to preface this episode by saying this, everything I'm going to be sharing today is what has worked for me.

Every single body is different. Every single journey is different. And my goal is in this episode to share with you the tools, the questions, and the tips that have really helped me reconnect to my skin and heal my acne from the inside out. So I really recommend you take a notebook or you listen closely to this episode because I'm going to be sharing a lot, a lot of wisdom. So the first thing that I want to preface today

is to say that acne is both a physical and spiritual journey. And this is why the Western medicine world could not solve my cystic acne unless I was prescribed a pill. Because...

In the Western world, we are not taught about the connection between the physical and the spiritual. And so for so many years, I just felt like, you know, my genes and this is what I was dealt in my life, then this is my acne, you know, it's my physical symptoms and this is just something that I have to deal with.

But something that I realized that essentially also was the big pivotal moment that helped me heal was that acne is both a physical and spiritual journey. So think about it. Your skin is the most largest organ of your body.

And not only that, your skin covers up. It's like what you show out into the world. It's your surfaces. And so when your skin is inflamed, when your skin is going through a lot of things, it actually holds a ton of energy and it's reflecting something going on inside of you.

and so that is one of the biggest realizations that I want all of you guys to have because this one realization will help you heal it will help you take responsibility back for your life you are not your acne your acne is your messenger it's trying to communicate something with you because when your skin reacts that way and it's so inflamed then it's trying to tell you something about the way you're living your life about the

thoughts that you're thinking about, the way that you're connected with your body. And the second that I had that realization, it's the second that I also started doing a lot of inner work and shadow work when it came to my skin. And so this is my first tip because I'm here to tell you the truth. Like I'm here to tell you everything that worked for me. I'm not going to tell you use this cream and da da da. Like I'm here to tell you what actually changed my life and what actually changed my skin. And that was a realizing that

I if I want to have clear skin and I want to have glowy radiant skin like I've always dreamt of it's going to be a journey and if I want to actually heal it then I can't you know look for instant gratifications instant band-aid solutions because those are not actually going to heal me they're just going to band-aid up the problem and it's not actually looking at the root cause and so I

I am here to remind you that acne is a journey and the second that you commit to it is the second that you get closer to healing it. So maybe you won't see results overnight, but if you are committed to your healing, you are committed to doing the physical and spiritual work that comes to acne, then you will heal your skin. And this is coming from someone, again, who has been through all this. Like, I'm not here, I was not born with perfect skin at all.

And I'm here to tell you that it is possible. And so if I did it, then you can too. So one of the first things that have really transformed my acne and my skin was doing a lot of inner work on my skin.

So I actually did a lot of NLP, which is reprogramming and EFT. And by the way, guys, I have an EFT tapping video on YouTube. I'll link it below in the episode notes for skin. So this is a video that I had created after I healed my acne. But this is the same, literally the same tapping sequence that I was doing when I had severe cystic acne. And so if you're struggling with acne, I really recommend check it out. It's free. Do it as much as you like because it's so powerful.

So one of the first things that I did when I started my healing journey, my real healing journey with acne because I've been battling with acne for so many years was taking responsibility for it from the inner work. So I started to journal a lot about my skin. So I started to basically act as if my skin is a messenger and it's a being that's trying to communicate with me.

So I would meditate and I would ask my skin, what does it need from me? How can I show it more love? What is this trying to tell me? I would journal about it. I would journal about how acne made me feel. And I would journal about wanting to release that acne and wanting to call in clearer skin. I remember there was a phase in my life that I was even doing meditations and I was visualizing myself with clear skin. I was doing online YouTube visualizations for clear skin.

probably for like a month straight I did them because I was so committed to my healing and I would visualize myself with clear glowing skin the way that I have it today and I would visualize myself getting complimented on my skin and not being able to wear makeup and feeling confident and feeling whole from within and I would just really visualize that and feel all of that in the present even though I was battling incredible cystic acne back then I would visualize it and feel the feeling now

So essentially a big part of my healing was actually me quantum leaping and aligning with a version of myself that had clear skin because that version of yourself exists out there. But the thing is you have to take a deep look at yourself. You have to take a deep look at your wounds, at your scars, at all your pain and every single part of yourself because that's connected to your skin. For instance, I know now that my skin is my messenger. So when I have phases in my life where I'm

I feel very low or I get triggered a lot or I get really angry. That was a big, I'll share just like my part because I think everyone has a different thing. But something that I discovered about myself through my own healing journey is anger was actually one of the biggest deep root causes of my acne. And so when I would get angry very often, when I would have a lot of resentment for other people in my life or for the past, when I held on to the past,

that manifested for me as acne and it is very true because for many years i was a very angry person i was angry at the world i was angry at my past i was angry at the people who hurt me and i wasn't realizing that anger was this stuck emotion that was stuck in my body and manifesting as acne because the body keeps the score the emotions that are stuck in your body manifest as physical symptoms

And I didn't realize that for so long. But even from like, you know, a scientific perspective, when I was so angry and I was so stressed all the time, I was spiking my cortisol levels. And so cortisol levels lead to more stress on the body, which leads to inflammation, which led me to develop a lot of acne. And so I think it's really important to start asking yourself, what is your dominant emotion in your life?

What is the emotion that's controlling you behind the scenes right now? And what does it have to tell you about yourself? And how does it connect to your skin?

When you start asking yourself the questions, the answers come. And this is honestly the most important component. I mean, I'm going to teach you all, you know, the physical stuff that I also did to heal the acne. But this is something that people dismiss so often is the inner work that comes with acne because skin is a portal. It's a part of yourself. And by the way, if you are someone who's battling with acne right now, count yourself lucky because I look back and I'm so grateful for my acne.

It has taught me so much about myself, so much about my confidence, so much about my self-love, probably more than any relationship or any other experience has taught me.

Other than some things in my childhood. Because when you battle with acne for years, like chronic cystic acne, you learn so much about yourself and so much about your self-worth and the love you have for yourself. And if you have acne right now, I'm here to tell you, wow, you are so lucky because you have been given a beautiful life lesson that not only will you be able to overcome acne,

you will be able to rise up from it and learn and heal and grow and evolve so much. The second thing that I did to heal my acne is I started to really look at my gut health and what I was consuming food-wise. Because let me tell you, the gut health connection is real and it is actually crazy because I remember when I had really severe acne and I was going to all these doctors and dermatologists, they would tell me that food didn't impact my acne and they would be like, just take this pill.

And now I look back and I'm like, that is actually crazy that they said this to me because when I changed my diet and how I was consuming food and what I was consuming, my skin changed. Think about it this way. You're literally eating, you're feeding your body these things that's going inside your body. How could it not affect you? How could what you're consuming not affect you? If you're consuming in your diet a ton of chemicals,

a ton of seed oils, canola oils, all these sugars, all these processed foods, then of course it's going to affect you because what you eat is what affects your health. You are what you eat. And this is such a big thing that I had to realize. And I'm not here to tell you how to eat. I'm not here to tell you what foods you need in your diet, what foods you should take out. I'm just here to tell you to be mindful of what you're consuming. Yep, that's who you think it is.

The Grimmest Mug, the Hello Kitty keychain, Barbie herself. For a limited time, your favorite McDonald's collectibles filled with memories and magic are now on collectible cups. Get one of six when you order a collector's meal at McDonald's with your choice of a Big Mac or 10-piece McNuggets. Come get your cup while you still can. And participate at McDonald's for a limited time while supplies last.

Because all this stuff that doctors will tell you that your food doesn't impact your health is a lie. It is the one thing that impacts your health. Why do you guys think in the US, the farm industry and the pharmaceutical industry is so big? Because they benefit off of people being sick. And so what I started to do to heal my gut is first off, I took a food sensitivity test.

and I realized that I was sensitive to gluten. So I'm not celiac, but gluten doesn't digest very well in my body, so I seldom eat gluten now. And my life has elevated ever since I took gluten out of my diet. I mean, not only my skin, but also just the way I feel, bloating,

I don't feel as tired and fatigued anymore. I feel like I have a lot more energy. And so if you struggle with acne or any gut issues, I really recommend going to take a food sensitivity test. You might even realize that you're sensitive to tomatoes or something. I had a friend that realized she was sensitive to tomatoes and she was eating tomatoes every single day and she didn't realize how much it was impacting her health.

So I definitely recommend if you have the ability to do so, go take a food sensitivity test. And another thing that's super important is also how you're eating your food. So if you're sitting all the time, every single time you eat a meal and you're like scrolling on your phone or you eat really fast and you don't let yourself have the time to like really eat and digest that food, that can impact your gut health.

too and I know we're all guilty of this because I sometimes go on my phone when I eat but when I was healing my acne I was really trying to be more cognizant of how I was consuming my food when I was consuming my food so like I would kind of eat meals more consistently in the same times every day so because when I was younger I used to eat like meals at like 10

11 30 p.m and I didn't realize how much that affected my circadian rhythm and my gut and my skin my health and so definitely look into that all those things I'm not going to go too much into it because there's so much more I want to talk about but gut health is your life health so if you want to start healing your skin you're also going to have to look at your

gut. So my tips is food sensitivity, higher consuming your food, and what foods you're consuming in your day-to-day life. Is it foods that enrich you? Because I really recommend any foods that have magnesium, a lot of zinc, a lot of protein. All these foods are so great for you and they're great for healing your skin. Like for instance, salmonella.

Salmon, any greens, celery, strawberries, like all of these foods are amazing for healing your skin. Also, I want to say that when it comes to acne, sometimes less is more, especially in the wellness industry. I mean, we're told take this and drink this type of water and take this supplement and da da da. And like you're just trying all these different things and you don't understand. Suddenly it's making your skin worse. I

I always say come back to the basics. I mean, are you getting enough vitamins, like natural vitamins? Go outside if you have sunlight. Or are you getting enough dopamine in your life? Are you moving your body? Because our bodies are meant to move. Whether we like it or not, they are built for movement. Are you getting enough sleep? This is such a big one, especially for women that...

it is actually not only recommended but vital and necessary for women to get proper sleep because you know all those studies that are told men need like seven to eight hours of sleep all those studies were only conducted on men so as a woman you need at least eight hours of sleep prioritize your sleep all of these things like come back to the basics ask yourself these questions what am i feeding my body am i getting enough sleep

Am I moving my body? How are my stress levels? Stress is one of the biggest proponents to acne because it spikes your cortisol levels. Days where I felt very, very stressed and I was going through stressful situations in my life,

then my skin would act up. So these are some simple questions that you need to start asking yourself. Am I doing these things? Am I doing the basic things that my body needs? Let me tell you something. If your body is in fight or flight survival mode, if you're sleeping five hours a day, if you're not consuming foods that help your body feel good, if you're not drinking enough water, if you're barely moving your body, then how the heck can your body heal? It's lacking so many nutrients and it's lacking your support.

So part of healing your skin is looking at your whole body and looking how you're treating your body and how you're speaking to your body. This is also a very big component is my skin started to heal when I stopped looking at it and talking down on it. When I would look in the mirror, even though I had a full face full of acne and I would tell myself, you know what, Kim, I love you regardless.

You are enough regardless and this acne does not define you. How are you speaking to yourself? Because if you're speaking to yourself in a mean manner and you're constantly talking yourself down, you're not allowing your skin to heal. You're putting your skin in that consistent miserable cycle.

Act as if your acne is like a small child. Would you talk to a small child that way? Would you talk to your inner child that way? And if not, then don't speak to yourself or your acne that way. Start telling yourself loving things, loving mantras.

Something that I really love to do is when I'm doing my skincare, I listen to healing mantras. I will literally be washing my face and I will look in the mirror and tell myself, Kim, I love you. Your skin is so beautiful. You're so radiant. Your skin is so clear. I am proud of you. I see you. I choose you. And I tell myself all these mantras and affirmations. And I was doing this even when I struggled with acne. But over time, the acne just kind of disappeared because I was working on myself and I had grown into a newer version of me that aligned with who I wanted to be.

be and so start speaking to yourself in a healing manner there's actually a study on this with water so they took two cups of waters and one water they talked to it in a really mean manner and they told it all these negative mantras and then to the other cup of water they told really positive affirmations and what they found is the one that they told positive affirmations the water molecules actually formed into these beautiful crystal shapes and then to the negative cup they just kind of like

slathered all over and I think it's so interesting because think about it we're like what are we 70% water and how we speak to ourselves really really matters so this is another really big tip that I recommend as you're healing your skin be very aware about how you're speaking to yourself and how you're speaking to your skin because your body's listening

Another thing that I wanted to share, and I won't go too much into it, but something that's really helped me heal my skin is cycle syncing. I actually have an entire cycle syncing guide that you can download. I will leave it in the episode notes if you're interested in learning more about cycle syncing because it's such a powerful tool, but that's one big thing that really changed my life. And

also I wanted to talk about that another big component that really helped me heal my acne is doing extractions and facials and I know that's not something that everyone has access to but I did want to mention it and I had actually gone to so many different facialists for so long and it wasn't until I found my facialist who combines NLP with

actual extractions where she taught me so much and she really changed my life on that and again I know not everyone has access to that but I did want to share it if that's something you're willing to invest in finding the right person the right healer because there I really believe that there are some people out there who truly are healers and their hands are just healing and so that's really a part of my journey too is getting those extractions and keeping my skin cells healthy

and alive and you know allowing my skin to get renewed and refreshed and the last thing that I wanted to talk about is products so I'm actually a firm believer that less is more so I wash my face twice a day I do

I do one toner and I use two creams. That's it. I don't have a crazy skincare routine with all these different products. I actually think that when you overdo it to your skin, you can actually harm it more. I use KB Pure for all my products. I really recommend them. They have some amazing products.

but I really just recommend, even if you don't want to use KB Pure, there's a lot of other great brands out there, but I do recommend looking at what's inside of the products and actually going in for the products that are more natural oriented, that have more vitamins in them, rather than a bunch of like acidic products, because at least for me, I found that it's not very helpful for me and it actually made my acne worse. But again, this is just my journey, what has worked for me. So take it with a grain of salt.

But find the products that work for you, that make your skin feel good and find that routine for yourself by trying different things and then sticking to it because our bodies and our skin craves consistency. So when we have a consistent skincare routine and we show up every single morning, every single night with those affirmations, with that love for ourselves, it actually changes our lives. So I really hope that this episode helped you guys. I know this was a lot of information.

And I just want you to know that if you're someone struggling with acne right now, I feel you, I see you, I hear you, and you are going to get through it. And I really hope that this episode can be like a small light right now in your life and can, even if it's just one thing that I shared with you that has been helpful for you that you can implement in your own life, then that will fill my heart.

and feel free to talk to me about this like send me a dm all about your journey and how this episode has helped you and maybe look back in a couple of weeks and let me know if anything has shifted or changed for you but again i remember acne is both a physical and spiritual journey and the more that you commit to that the more that you will see a shift and i do believe that each and every one of you are so so worthy of it and you're so you have that potential it's

It's in you. It's possible for you. If I healed, you can too. And I believe in you. And I want to tell you that now it's time for you to start believing in your own healing.

Because I know when you've tried so many different things and you've gotten so many people, you've tried all these products, it can seem just you want to give up. It seems like it's impossible and it seems like it'll never happen for you. But that is like the breaking point. That is the breakthrough. Don't give up. Keep showing up for yourself. Keep believing that you will heal. Do the work on yourself. Invest in yourself. Do the inner work. And I promise you, I promise you,

that with time, things are going to shift for you and you're going to look back and you're going to be so proud of yourself and so proud of your journey and so madly in love with yourself and who you are. So I love you. I hope this episode was helpful. I'm sending you a big hug and so much love. Beautiful souls, thank you so much for joining me in today's episode. As always, I will talk to you next week. Bye.
