SEC Media Days Day 2. Radio Row. McElroy and Kublik in the morning. Jocks 94.5. Jordan Rodgers joining us now live on Radio Row. There's a graphic out, so it's real. It's official. It really happened. His top eight quarterbacks in the SEC.

Believe it or not, Carson Beck number one off the board. Can I tell you why I did top eight? So most of these kids were born right around the time that MySpace actually came out. And this generation is too soft to realize that us back in the day, we ranked our friends. Was it top eight? Yes. Or you could do top four. But top eight was normally what people did. I think I started at four and then expanded it. The cutthroat thing was that you remember you changed it.

Things would happen and you would put someone in your top eight, drop people out of your top eight. Can you imagine this generation? You broke up with your girlfriend. Oh, yeah. The big thing, too, is if you've got a new girlfriend. If you've got two girls in, you've got problems. Big problems. And or if you've got a girlfriend, what guy friends do you put her ahead of? That was always a relationship.

The girlfriend had to be one. No, mine was three. My buddy Todd and my buddy Brandon, two of my best friends still today, they were always ahead of my girlfriend. He could always have that fallback. Was one of those on the golf trip to Whistler? I remember that dude. He was tight. Yeah, I would have him one too. You could always lean back though and say, no, those two stay one and two always. Yeah, they're day one. It doesn't matter. We're bros. The most important aspect though would be what song you picked.

Oh, I was so emo. It was probably some yellow card, Ocean Avenue. Oh, yeah, dashboard was probably on there. Hands down. Yeah, I can definitely see that. I can definitely see that. All right, so Carson Beck won Jackson Dart. Mine was Sweet Home Alabama. After you committed or before? Shocker. No, but not the good. Was it All My Exes Live in Texas when you were committed to Texas Tech? Not the good version. It was the other one. Gotcha. What was the Kid Rock version? That was mine. Oh, yeah.

That checks out. That checks out. Because that song is just overplayed. It's not as good as what people make it out to be. Jackson Dark, too. Summer long or whatever. Yeah, I think Jackson is my favorite to win the Heisman. Whoa. I honestly don't even think it's that close. This entire offense is going to be centered around him. And I know...

When you think of Ole Miss, you think of big plays downfield, but really this Ole Miss offense is designed to go through the run game. And in talking to Charlie Weiss at their spring event, not a game, their spring event in April, he just talked about, look, we're playing around with a ton of five wide different personnel groupings. We're going to spread it out. I think it's going to look much more like LSU 2019 where they're going to throw the ball all over the yard with the talent they have. So I think he's going to put up

unreal numbers i just love how he's developed his accuracy downfield really his ball placement downfield especially to the perimeter i think got a ton better last year he protected the football and i think he's just in a in a mind space and has a comfortability with this league and understanding this offense i think he's gonna you know put up some monster numbers staying with the my space theme their mind space i like that yeah so just kind of going queen yours three uh

Greg loves his talent, but there are some things about his delivery that he's a little bit down on. The mechanics are a little odd. That's it. I mean, look, a lot of guys have odd mechanics, so I can look past it. Totally. I think what I live in, and I talk about this all the time, that meeting we had with Quinn in Texas at the Alamo Bowl at the end of the 2022 season. We left that meeting, and I remember saying, I don't know if I've ever sat with a quarterback that had less confidence. And I just feel like he –

that time that was when Arch had just committed Texas had kind of underperformed it was supposed to be the year they were going to take that big step so the Alamo Bowl was a little bit of a womp womp to them and I just felt like the noise was getting to him and we left that meeting going man I don't know I don't know if he has the DNA the makeup to like be a dude

and he absolutely flipped a 180 in that i think last year you saw a dude that was supremely confident in himself and his talent he had command of the offense he distributed the ball to the playmakers that he's got so that'll be a question these years some of the holes they fill at the receiver position but i think he's one of the most talented physically gifted guys in the country so uh it's funny you mentioned that meeting i've referenced it so many times it was just shocking it

I don't think I've ever walked into a meeting with a player and had the perception of that player and it been that different when I left. Because that was when he had the Agassi hair and he had the Kambuka deal or whatever and he was driving the monster truck and he got the parking ticket and everybody's like, this dude's just loose cannon, literally doesn't care about anything. And you come in there and he's like, everything to his teammates, took no credit for anything.

We almost had to pry words out of him. Like he didn't really want to talk to us. I mean, you and I walked out of the meeting like, what was that? Yeah. So I just see a guy that's just completely different, and I think he's playing like it. So I think he's going to have a heck of a season as well. All right, so Milrow at four. This one I struggle with because, obviously, I think he's a matchup nightmare, right? I mean, no defensive coordinator, if you had to say, what's the one guy you don't want to scheme against, it's probably him. Yeah.

When I watch it, I love a couple things about his game. His athleticism, obviously. But his ability to deliver under pressure, I think, is elite. The thing I worry about in this system is that I think he held on to the ball the third longest in the NCAA last year. When you flip on the tape, Michael Penix Jr., obviously...

was an incredible deep ball thrower, would buy time when he needed to. But for the most part, he threw on time and in rhythm. The ball came out of his hands to the digs, the bang eights, the in breakers. And that's part of the game where you go, can Jalen play on time consistently?

And I think he'll get there. But early in the season, I think it's going to be a little bit of a bumpy road of figuring out how this system fits to him and vice versa. So still incredibly physically gifted, incredibly talented. We'll take them very far. But I think it's going to be an interesting, different look. And it's going to take a few games to adapt. Greg, you talked about that with Penix being a rhythm passer. He's unbelievable. Penix is ridiculous. Can Milrow grow into that? Is that going to be comfortable for him? No, I don't think that's who he is. Penix early in his career, too, was not a guy that –

that played like that. I mean, he was a runaround guy and the injuries forced him into the pocket. Um, but if you just look, I mean, Pennix had like alien hands and like wingspan that was absurd and like could just, he can make throws that just aren't normal. Like he's an absolute freak. Um, it never looks hard when he throws the ball. He's just, he's not real. Like it just, he can turn the ball. His fingers are so long. He can turn the ball over and like people can't do that. That's not normal. Um,

But I think Milrose, like you said, is the most dangerous and the most, hey, like, I really don't want to play against this guy, but I also think he misses layups. And that's okay because he was young. But now is the time. Like, all right, it's time to now. I just think back, and there's just some games that I just can't quite get out of my head. Like, it's like you can make the throws against A&M down the field like, oh, my gosh, what a throw.

And then you one-hop into a guy behind the line of scrimmage because you don't get – Or you leave it eight yards inside on a slot out to the field. 100%. Or you miss – yeah, or you don't see a quarter safety curl that comes and picks it up against Texas. And look, you can nitpick small things. I mean, we can on all of our careers. We all have throws that we wish we had back. But the highs are so high and the lows are so low, it's almost hard to –

That's always what Coach Saban would say to us. Hey, man, you can't be too high with the highs and too low with the lows. I need to know what I'm getting from you, which is fine. If I know what I'm getting from you, then we can coach around you. And with him, the highs are so crazy good and the lows are so mind-blowingly bad that it's just hard to kind of wrap your head around. So I think four is appropriate. But like I said, he's the guy that you'd at least want to play.

All right, Jordan, can you hang for another segment? Yeah. All right, we'll get to a quick break. Come back. Jordan Rodgers with us. Finish up. He has to go get more sour balls out of the restaurant. Those are on fire. I had some for breakfast this morning. Did you really? Yeah, I put a bunch in my pocket. What is a sour ball? I don't know, dude. Like cherry sours. Bob's Steakhouse has this big bowl of just loose sour candies. You went to Bob's last night? No, we had an event, which thanks for the support. You didn't come. The movie? Yeah, the movie.

Yeah, I had the 5 a.m. wake-up call. Sorry, I didn't want to come see your roundtable of the SEC movie that's going to air 78 times in the next month. You missed incredible material that we won't talk about on the air, but it was really all-time. I'm excited to learn about how games started being played at night. But anyways, long story short, we went and had a drink afterwards, and they had a bowl of cherry sours. He went to three different times. Oh, yeah. Three hands. It was like candy? It was actually four. You didn't see one time. It was disgusting. It was disgusting.

We'll talk more cherry sours next on McElroy and Kubrick in the morning. Catch up with all things McElroy and Kubrick in the morning by subscribing to the podcast. Mythically, he's grown. All right, Jordan Rodgers with us. We're kind of running through your top eight SEC quarterbacks in the league. The SEC Network put a graphic out, so it actually happened. It's a real thing. Connor Wigman at five. Now, we had Trevor Sycamore. Works for BFF. Oh, yeah. He made some headlines. He's got him as the number one player in the draft.

I'm not saying you're going to go there, but five. There are some attributes that you obviously appreciate from Conor Wigman. First one is he's going to have to be available. Right. But after that, what do you like about Conor Wigman? This is one that, honestly, I could have put him higher. I'm actually very – I'm bullish on Conor Wigman. I think if you go back and watch that Miami tape from last year, and I get it. They lost that game, 48-33 or whatever it was. He threw some dimes. I'm not sure you find a better –

of just throws of any quarterback last year. Carson may have a few things to say. Michael may have a few things to say. But I'm not sure there will be a better tape out there than that game. I mean, the amount of times that he was just under fire. Free runner. Free runners. Seven-yard head start. And he would not blink and...

and stick his back foot in the ground and rip a deep dig or a glance route. I mean, he was dealing that game. By the way, through the A gaps, too. Yes. Not off the edge. It was unbelievable. Right down his nose, coming right at it. But, I mean, there were 13 or 14 big-time throws in that game. And that was kind of the first time, and I've been very critical. One of them was picked, by the way.

Well, that was slipped. The receiver completely fell down. It hit him right in the face mask. It was like a perfect throw. Like between two. Well, not that one. Oh. But the one where he threaded it right in the middle, it got picked. It was a big time throw. I'm like, that's a hell of a throw, and it got picked. Yeah. So depressing. And the other interception that game was the last play of the game, a jump ball to the inside. So, like, I mean, yeah, it's not like he went out there and threw two picks. It was, you know, he was dealing. But what I was going to say is that was the first time I was like, hey, this offense,

feels like they're actually trying to build around his strengths a little bit. The ball was getting out of his hands quicker. It was all gun stuff. They moved a little bit more. And so when I think of what Colin Kline is going to be able to do. You saw how many times they slid the protection in that game. And you're like, oh, never mind. We're not progressing. Yeah, yeah. I mean, that's going to be the thing, right? That offensive line has got to come together for him to fulfill kind of

what I think he can be but I think he's super talented and I think he's he's a little bit overlooked rightfully so because he hasn't been available but yeah so you have Brady Cook at six so here's one question that I've asked really the entire offseason and I think we kind of forget Jordan we go back this time last year he wasn't the starter and then they kind of did him a public disservice because they didn't name him the starter and Eli was going to play three

He gets booed after the first game, and then all of a sudden he turns and has the year that he has. But he took a pretty big step from when we saw him the previous year. How much more of a step do you think he can take? How close is he to his ceiling? I mean, I don't think there's a huge upside, right? Because he's not the most physically gifted, but he is freaking good, man. And what I think is underappreciated about him, and really just –

to your point of not getting named the starter, the noise outside the building, the fact that two years ago, no one told us that he had a torn ligament in his shoulder. His throwing shoulder was torn, and everyone's like, man, this guy's not very good. Yeah, he's playing with a torn right shoulder. Like, no wonder. So this is the first year that we really saw a healthy Brady Cook. And what Kirby Moore and Eli Drinkwitz are able to do with moving Luther Burden around and finding creative ways to get him the ball, I do think Brady can take another step. Is it going to be a top

two or three quarterback in the SEC step? I don't think so, just because I think there's a little bit of a talent ceiling there. But, man, he is a gamer. When the lights turn on, that dude shows up. It doesn't always look the most pretty. We were talking about Michael Penix. Every throw looks pretty. No doubt. Not the same with Brady, but it gets the job done, right? Totally. I mean, he's accurate. The ball is where it should be when it's supposed to be there. So I love watching the kid play. We're coming up on like a minute left. I'd love to kind of hit the rest of these on the other side. Do you need to go? Are you busy? No, I'm chilling.

You got Graham Mertz at seven, and I've just – the only way I know how to put it is if you put his numbers on 80 teams in college football right now, we're having the discussion of are they going to get to ten wins. But for some reason, Florida's not going to be able to win five. I have a diatribe about Graham Mertz. The schedule's just way too hard. Yeah, all those teams that were below 500 and a game above 500 that we don't know how Florida's going to find a way to win. I love Graham. I could do a deep dive into completion percentage, causation, correlation to wins after the break.

Wow. We are going full chemistry and biology. I don't even know what subject that falls under in school, but we're going to talk about it on the other side. All right, Jordan's going to stick around with us through the break. We'll talk a little bit more about his quarterback list. Florida will come up. We'll talk Georgia today. Obviously, a team that a lot of people believe

can go win a national championship this year. I'll tell you quickly about your CBD story. You need a better night's sleep, better focus throughout the course of the day. And Jordan Rodgers is going to finish his quarterback conversation and talk about teams that he thinks can or will win the Southeastern Conference. All of that next right here on Day 2 from Radio Row live in Dallas on McIlroy and Kublik in the morning. Jocks 94.5. The capital of the sports talk nation. This is Jocks 94.5 and jocksfm.com.

Welcome back. McElroy Kubrick in the morning. Jock 94.5, 8 a.m. here in Dallas, Texas. Live on the scene for SEC Media Days, the Omni Hotel in downtown. For those that are familiar with Dallas, we're kind of in the reunion section of downtown. The ball probably not but two, three blocks away in Reunion Arena.

The former home of the Dallas Stars and the Dallas Mavericks. A few blocks away as well. Jordan Rodgers has been on the show for about the last half hour talking through his top eight quarterbacks in the SEC here in 2024. But I'll tell you about the top eight GMC dealerships in the United States. It's not close. We have the number one.

That's right down the street from us. It's in Coleman. It's Bill Smith Buick GMC. They've won seven national championships, including four in a row. The reason why is they have deals that nobody else can touch. I mean, it's not even close. When you think of the deals, you are literally costing yourself money if you shop elsewhere.

because you look at what you can get right now at GMC Sierra 2024, 2,500 Denali loaded. 91,270 is the list price. You can take 5,500 off. That will get you out the door for under 86,000, plus 84 months at 5.9%. Deals like that that keep coming back to 75% of their business repeat customers. It's because you have a better experience. You shop with Andy Cole and Jonathan Yeager up there in Coleman.

Off I-65, exit 310 at Bill Smith Buick GMC. You can also shop online. Have it delivered right to your driveway at billsmithbuickgmc.com. All right, Jordan Rodgers sitting with us, SEC Media Days, finishing up your top eight quarterbacks in the SEC. This is one that's been fun to talk about, and we mentioned a little bit before the break. Graham Mertz, you say you have some scientific knowledge

calculus data on Graham Mertz and how good he is, how much better he is than people think. Yeah, I did my PhD on Graham Mertz tape. I love Graham. I think he's wildly underrated. I think you were right. You said something like if he was on 80% of other rosters, he'd have a chance to take them at 10 wins, whatever it is. I

I think what gets scoffed at and overlooked a lot, and GMAC, I don't know if you agree with this, when you evaluate quarterbacks, is when you talk about completion percentage and accuracy, I feel like a lot of times to the casual fan, you get kind of like an eye roll. Like, who cares?

And so I just kind of went down that rabbit hole on our True Media website and was like, okay, let's look at this. And so if you take the top 20 completion percentages in college football last year in the Power Five, it coincidentally happens to be the cutoff of 65%. So if you were a quarterback that had 65% or better completion percentage last year, the average win percentage for those teams was 75%, which correlates to just under 10 wins a season. So I'm like, okay, that's great. Kind of expected that.

And then you go to, okay, what's above average or an average quarterback? If you go above average, so the top 60 to 40, so 40 to 60, the highest completion percentage, which is above average, right, 130 teams in the NCAA, that equates to about 57 to 62%. So if you're an average or above average completion percentage, that win percentage on average is .48%.

So you go from a 5-6 win team to a 9-10 win team by being an efficient quarterback. Now, the outliers are Florida, USC last year, the outliers of that completion percentage. But the fact is, if you're an efficient quarterback, you put your team in a better situation to win games. You extend drives. You score more points. You're in better third down situations. So I think he is...

on the cusp of really helping this Florida team take the next step. Now their schedule is brutal, as always. But I love Graham. I think he's one of the most accurate, one of the best decision-makers in the conference. And I think he's underrated because no one likes to just say, oh, well, yeah, you're efficient. They like to see the home run balls. And, yeah, they could hit a few more of those. But I really like his game. He's an example, too, of a guy that people have just made their mind up about. Yes. It won't change. Totally. And that, to me, is a little irritating because if you see –

how many guys that have progressed over the course of their career, and I'll use a recent example. I mean, Bo Nix, everyone and their brother, you know, had him as a failure and a guy that can't play and a guy that's never going to get better and a guy that just, he's got to go out west and play against more manageable offenses to be, or defenses to be able to have success. It's like, no, no, no, hang on a second. Sometimes guys get better. Like,

Like, guess what? Starting as a true freshman is really hard. Playing as a true sophomore is really hard. And I'll tell you who the next guy is going to be, potentially, if he turns it around. I think that might have something to do with it. Cade Klubnick, he'll be the next guy. Like, everyone has already painted him as this guy that just can't play. The guy started 13 games. I'm not saying he's going to be the next Joe Namath. I'm just saying maybe, maybe over the course of his career he progresses. And I think Graham Mertz has. I just think he's a victim of people rushing to judge.

Came in with unrealistic expectations of Wisconsin. That's not an offense that's exactly quarterback friendly. And now he's in an offense that is, and yet people just refuse to give him credit for anything. I love the Namath comparison. I don't know why he was on top of my head. Probably because they talked about him in the movie last night. When I think modern-day quarterbacks, I think it'd just be more like Namath.

Well, anybody. Joe Burrow, then. Who cares? I mean, there's no telling. My whole point is guys can get better, and we won't allow them to because we've already decided that they stink or that they're great. If you're not good in your first three or four games, you're awful. It's totally fair. It's crazy. I think it actually goes back to the spring game two years ago.

when they had three offensive, four offensive linemen out, and Austin had just come in, and Austin's like, I'm going to throw every blitz at them. They can't protect it. And he's sitting there throwing it away, throwing it away, taking sacks, taking sacks. I think everybody said right there, this guy, this is it. He's awful. He can't play. And then no one's appreciated anything even halfway decent that he's done since. And so it's just kind of where we are. All right, Jordan Rodgers with us, day two, SEC Media Days. Nussmeyer at eight. Greg loves him. The sample size concerns me just a little bit.

I guess the mindset of thinking that he can fit any ball in anywhere, anytime. I actually asked him about that yesterday, and he said...

He's like, listen, I've got to have a little bit of confidence too, right? I've got to believe that I can get it in there. He said, but it's something we've talked about this offseason and not being as much of a risk taker and kind of dialing it down at times. But, I mean, you also want to go get it. I mean, I don't want a guy who's going to sit there and wait. You know what's great about that too? Kind of to Greg's point about quarterbacks and anybody can get better and we kind of refuse to think that. You take a guy with that mentality, a gunslinger mentality and the arm talent that Nussmeyer has and you make him start as a true freshman, that can break a kid.

Because he'll go out there and try to fit it in windows that he can't. He's not ready. He's not seeing things the way he should. You go out there and just have a terrible season, throw too many turnovers, throw too many interceptions. That can break a kid. But the fact that he has that kind of skill set and mentality and got to sit and watch and learn and develop and get big moments in the SEC Championship where it wasn't perfect, but...

Made some big plays against Georgia when he came in for an injured Jaden Daniels. Had a balled out in the bowl game last year. So I think he is poised to have a big year because of the offensive line that returns. Yes, do they have the firepower receiver that they had last year? Maybe not, but they got some dudes still. Kyron Lacy's a dude. Chris Hilton can absolutely fly. CJ Daniels' kid from Liberty can play. Yes. Taylor at tight end. They're going to be fine. They have weapons. They got weapons.

I'm not worried about that. Yeah, they don't have three first-round draft picks, but that's okay. So I love him. And I think that the most controversial part of this list, at least per X last night, was leaving –

Nico Yamileaba off the list. How would we know that? Exactly. And they're like, well, you know, the ball game and the four touchdowns. I get it. Like, he played good. As a passer, he was efficient. As a runner, he made a couple plays. You know, in the goal line, had the three touchdowns. Let's change your list to top eight SEC quarterbacks at end of season. Right. I love Nico. I really do. I actually think he's a great fit for the offense. I think he's fundamentally sound. I think he's super athletic.

accurate, especially outside the numbers. We just don't know yet. We just don't know yet. And him and Jackson Arnold are kind of in that same bunch for me as two kids that are very similar, so talented, huge upside, and just we don't know yet. Right. I want to get your thoughts on just sort of big picture because... But you also have to take it with a grain of salt, too. I mean, Tennessee fans are feeling it. They love their team. I get it, but

Since when do we now use bowl games as an exclusive indicator of future success? I just don't, like, are we just...

And it's not a knock on Tennessee. I think we could make the same argument for Nussmeyer, frankly. We could make the same argument for a few guys that have gone out and just scored. Yeah, Joe Milton. We went score-surf after an Orange Bowl performance last year, and it's like, dude, the bowl game does not necessarily mean that you're going to be great the following year. Like, a lot of teams that you're playing against have mailed it in. Like, let's just be real.

We shouldn't use bowl games as an indicator of what's coming, I think. Jordan Rogers with us on Radio Row, SEC Media Day State 2. Just big picture. I think Tier 1 is just Georgia. I think you could shape up a bigger Tier 2 or a smaller Tier 2 and a bigger Tier 3. But either way, if you wanted to put Bama, Texas next to Georgia, whatever that is, it feels like the middle of the league is log jammed with a lot of teams that could be in the playoff mix, could end up in the SEC Championship game, or...

If a couple things don't go their way, maybe take a bit of a dip. I'm interested in you and just kind of where you are in the contenders of the league. Like who's maybe that much further ahead of everybody else and who actually can go win this league or make the playoff? I'm putting Ole Miss in the Tier 1, especially with the pieces that they added and Jackson Dart's development, the talent that they have. I remember we've had this conversation with Pete Golding a number of times over the years, last couple years at Ole Miss,

is that this is the first year that he has the size, the speed, the size, the length is kind of what I meant to say, actually, at each position that he needs.

Right. I mean, getting Trey Amos, Brandon Turnage, this guy may not have a huge impact, but but he knows the system on the back end. He's got the length and size that that Pete needs at those positions like this defense is going to be really improved. I think that's scary because there's no way the offense doesn't get better with some of the pieces that they added. So I think there, especially with how their schedule lays out, I really struggled not giving them 10 wins when I look at that schedule.

Oh, yeah. 10 wins, no problem. And that's saying they're going to lose to Georgia and – they play Bama? No. No, they play – At LSU. LSU. It's like, oh, if they lose to LSU or – Here's the problem, though. I think in talking to Coach about this yesterday, Coach Saban on the set, I could see a scenario for sure where it is used against them, their non-conference. Their non-conference is so laughably bad.

And, frankly, when we fast forward to the end of the year, let's say LSU is an 8-4 football team, top 25 win. But maybe LSU loses a couple that we don't expect. I think LSU's going to be really good. I'm super bullish. But we start looking at their wins, and their best win is against an 8-4 Oklahoma. That's not going to be very good for their resume when measured against other teams that are potentially at-large teams. So,

I don't think the 10-2 with that schedule is a bona fide lock. That might affect their seed a little bit, but I don't think it keeps – it's not going to go to the extent that it keeps them out. I don't think it's a bona fide lock is what I'm saying. Yeah, because I think we could – I agree. Like, if they go 9-3 and their resume is meh, then that's – so the margin for error for them is very small. Because the Georgia one you could throw out. That one doesn't even really matter. Yeah, you lose that one. It is what it is to an extent. So what, you lose to Oklahoma or LSU? What about the optics of last year's loss?

I mean, you get blasted like that. I mean, that's going to be a tough one to stomach. And I just think, too, like we're thinking about this right now in the 14 playoff era. Like we're not even having this conversation if you're 10-2 back then. But now I look at it and you might have a –

Utah, that's 11-2. Their only loss came against Kansas State, but they beat Oklahoma State. They beat a couple other teams in the top 20, and they lost in the conference championship game. You're taking that team that lost in the conference championship game or a 10-2 Ole Miss team that played no one in the non-conference. I just don't think we're going to have eight of those teams that we're picking. We might not. I'm just suggesting I think their schedule is so manageable that it's the one where I can say I could see people pushing back

on the possibility of them being a no-doubter at 10-2. I don't hate that. I think that's feasible. Let's get to the next tier. Who do you think is going to be real, and who do you have concerns about? The A&Ms, the Oklahomas, the Tennessees, the teams that if everything comes together, yeah, they could be in the playoff.

But I have my doubts as to why. Because I'm with you on Ole Miss, and Greg and I talked about it yesterday, Jordan. Sit there and try to go poke holes in that roster. It's really hard. Because they bring in Koleppo and Diego Pounds on the offensive line, all of a sudden they look different there. They're as different on the defensive line as they've ever been that I can remember. We tried to talk about how you're going to stop the offense yesterday.

I mean, they can add an in-line tight end. They can be physical. They have a run dynamic at quarterback. Multiple weapons at receiver. They're deep at tail. Yeah, it's unfair. They can go tempo. They push the ball down the field. They got quick game. Everything has a read to it. They're going to make you wrong. Conflict defenders, I don't know.

It's going to be tough. I mean, I think the only question mark for me in Ole Miss is honestly physicality and personality of the team. Yeah. And that can get you at times, but they're going to have enough talent to where, like Greg said, against that schedule, the talent's going to be enough in, what, nine of them at least? Ten. Ten.

I don't know if just the town beats Oklahoma, LSU, and Georgia. And they're at Florida late. I think Florida game is a tough game. If I'm Florida, I'd rather have Ole Miss on November 23rd than October 3rd. No. Yeah. What about the other teams, though? Obviously. I think two are interesting to me. I think Tennessee is interesting because I do think they're going to be better on offense. I think Nico is a heck of a player.

What I think we forget is they were the fourth best defense in the SEC last year. Like their defense kept them in a lot of games because their offense took such a big step back.

and they lose everybody in the secondary. And that was probably the one Achilles heel of that team the last couple years, even when their defense has been better than what we expect at Tennessee. So Tim Banks in that defense, I think, has got to come along because they've got a guy like James Pierce that can get after the quarterback, but you've got to be able to cover on the back end. And then Missouri as well for the same reason. You lose your defensive coordinator and you lose three draft picks in the secondary. Like Missouri at times last year –

impressed me because they would just man press you across the board and come after you. They were a scary defense because they had the dudes on the outside that could play some tight coverage and Blake Baker would just bring it. The other part about that Missouri defense following up with what you're saying that I noticed last year, those DBs could tackle. Yes.

They gave up. They were physical. There were so many explosive plays that could have been that weren't because a guy had a one-on-one and he got him to the ground. And I'm talking like corners and safeties, not linebackers, obviously. And you'll love this, too. I think Cody Schrader, losing him is as much just the production, the yards, as it is an identity. I mean, how much they use that outside zone and everything bases around it. You don't just plug in and fit that.

type of run game. You have a knack for it or you don't. And they brought in some experienced guys through the portal, but how different does the identity of this team look because of Cody Schrader's absence? Well, we appreciate you hanging out, Jordan.
