Since everyone knows I am a speaker, I am a live host and I do host events. So along with this journey, a story has been connected. Which is very, I guess, very personal till now. I haven't shared it with anyone. I haven't told anybody about it.
But I used to host shows during my school days. Like there are cultural events in school, there is an annual function in school. You go as a host or you are playing a play. You are a part of a play. You are singing a song. There are multiple activities you do as a student in your school, right? So what actually happened? This is a story from my college days. So I was in my first year. Maybe, yeah, first year.
And in the first year, you are not groomed as much. You don't have a strong fashion sense. You go from school to college. You get very excited. As an individual, you feel very excited. You feel like you have come out of jail and entered a world where you will get the freedom to do everything. Which is college. There was an annual function of the college.
And in this annual function, there were a lot of hosts, a lot of artists, and a lot of people came. There were dance performances, stage performances, plays, and a lot of activities. During this duration, my teacher selected me, and said, "You're very good. You have a good voice and you can
be the master of ceremony for this event. You can be the comparer of the event. So I was there as a host and there was a co-host of mine which was I guess in fourth year or final year of mechanical engineering. I was into computer science. I was a computer science engineering student in my college and I was hosting this show with my co-host.
Earlier when I was hosting the show, the teachers got the script because now when I am hosting an event, I have that live feeling as a host that I have to do a live show. I go on stage, I start but during college you have a script. So you have to add on some things in the script. You don't know what you will add on. So my co-hosts who were in the fourth year helped me a lot.
I liked him. He was very good looking. He was very genuine. So since we were on stage, our final day came, the day of our annual function and we'd been on stage together. So we were... Actually, the day of one when I met him and we were sharing the script and we were discussing on script, I didn't find it so fancy. I haven't found him that fancy actually. The day I...
I met him on the day of the annual function and I got an eye on him. He was looking really damn amazing. When a girl thinks of a boy as her crush, she tries to see many things in him. Being an individual, I look for care rather than good looks.
And we went on stage together. We were hosting the event. Everyone was having
Fun there, people were shouting, they've been crazy, performances are going on. So when you're on stage, of course when you're hosting an event, it feels like you're thirsty, you want to drink water, because you shout so much. This is a regular MC problem. If an MC is listening to this, then he will be able to understand what the condition is on stage. How much water is needed.
And you can't even say that you are so busy engaging the audience. Suddenly, that guy came to me and he offered me the water. And man, I melted here. So, I had water. Individually, I'm not a person who likes a guy so easily. But I liked it, I don't know why. Again and again, when I was at stage, even if I'm not thirsty, I say that I want to drink water.
I'm going at the corner and I'm just saying him, "Hey, I need water. So can you just help me with that?" As a co-host, he's arranging water bottles to me and he's helping me out there. I enjoyed it a lot. The show was over and everything was over. I enjoyed it. I was thinking about him only.
The next morning, I thought about him. I shared everything with all my friends. At the end, I still don't remember his name. I might have remembered that day but I forgot. But that moment never goes away. I guess my biggest crush was there.
And till now I don't know his name, his face, but I don't know, I always feel special for that one thing that he offered me water on stage. That was my crush story. I don't know it sounds really weird but crush is always a crush and it can come anywhere. That's it.
