Welcome to the podcast from the bottom of your heart. In the last episode, we learned that Meera and Rohan had come a long way in their relationship. The pressure of work had reduced their loving moments. To save their relationship, they decided to take couple therapy. Let's move on and find out how the first session was for them.
In the first session, the therapist told Meera and Rohan about their childhood friendship and their journey to marriage. They openly discussed the topic and suggested to listen to each other. The therapist explained that love is not just about staying together, but understanding each other, respecting each other and walking together on the path of life.
After the first session, Meera and Rohan left the therapist's office. Both were feeling a little uncomfortable. Sharing things about their personal lives in front of a third person was a new experience for them. But the therapist's words had awakened a hope in them. Maybe the same love and happiness returned to their relationship. While returning home, there was a little silence on the way.
Then Meera held Rohan's hand. Rohan was shocked, but he didn't say anything. Meera smiled and said, "How long has it been?" Rohan laughed a little and said, "I didn't even know, Meera. Maybe I didn't even know the time while talking in therapy."
Meera said, "Yes, maybe. But it felt good. We both spoke openly to each other. Maybe we should have done this before." Rohan agreed. "Yes, Meera, you are right. We should take more time for each other.
They reached home and ate dinner together. Even after dinner, there was no silence like before. They talked for a while while watching TV and drinking coffee. These small talks also meant a lot to Meera and Rohan.
In the next few weeks, Meera and Rohan tried to follow the therapist's advice. The therapist advised them to do some activity together every week. This week, they decided to do painting.
Both of them together made a beautiful painting. During this time, they not only talked about art, but also openly talked. Rohan told Meera how much pressure he had on work. And Meera also told him about her feeling of loneliness.
Slowly, the conversation between Meera and Rohan was growing. They were trying to understand each other. But the burden of work was constantly on Rohan. One night, after returning from office late, Rohan fell asleep. He quickly woke up in the morning and prepared breakfast for Meera in the kitchen before going to office.
This small effort pleased Meera very much. She smiled and went to the kitchen and hugged Rohan from behind. Rohan was shocked. But then he stood up to Meera with a smile. Thank you. Meera said in a low voice. I liked it very much. Rohan said while stroking her hair. Forgive me Meera. It's late last night. I hope you didn't get angry. Meera put her head on his chest.
"No Rohan, I didn't get angry, but I liked this little surprise. I wish you would have done this always." Rohan removed it and looked into her eyes and said, "I know Meera, I will try to take more time for you, but it is also important to complete this project."
Meera said with disappointment, "But Rohan, when will this project end? Have you forgotten that our wedding is two years old? Our honeymoon is also pending." Rohan remained quiet for some time, then said, "I know Meera, I promise you that after the project is over, we will definitely go somewhere to roam."
Meera smiled and said, "Don't make promises, Rohan. Just try. Promises are not enough to save our relationship.
That day, Meera took out some time before going to the office and prepared a lunch box for Rohan. When Rohan was opening the box at lunch time and looking at the food, a big smile came on his face. That evening, Rohan came home a little early. As soon as he came home, he told Meera that his project would be over in the next two weeks.
Meera was very happy. She thought that maybe now the same happiness will return to her life. But next week, a new problem arose. Rohan came to know that his company is going to start a new project. And he was told to take the lead by explaining the importance of that project. Rohan came home and told Meera this. Meera's face was down.
Then, Meera said, disappointed, "Rohan understood how Meera was feeling. He came to her and held her hand and said, 'Meera, I know you are not happy, but this project is very important. This can help me to move forward in my career.' Meera let go of her hand in anger. 'Your career, your career, you always think about your career. But what about me?
What will happen to me? Rohan remained silent for some time and then said, Meera, give me some time. I think how can I manage this project? Maybe we should find a way out. Meera said with disappointment, I don't know Rohan, maybe we will have to continue the therapy session. That night, there was another argument between Meera and Rohan. They felt that their efforts were not successful.
The atmosphere of the argument between Meera and Rohan was very tense. Both fell asleep in silence.
Meera woke up in the morning and saw that Rohan had left already. He had kept a small note on the table. She read it to him. "Meera, forgive me for making you angry last night. I know that you are right. I will try to come home early this evening. Let's go to the therapist together in the evening. Maybe he can suggest us some other way."
Meera got a little bit of hope after reading the note. She decided that it would be better to go to the therapist. Maybe therapy session could help her to bring back her married life on track.
That evening, Meera and Rohan reached the therapist's office. This time the session was a little different. The two told the therapist about the problem they had last week. Meera repeated her loneliness. Meanwhile, Rohan kept in mind the importance of his career.
The therapist listened carefully and then said, "Meera, Rohan, understand what you both are saying. You both have to compromise. Rohan, it is very important for you to take time out for your wife. You can find ways to manage your work. Maybe you can go early in the morning without stopping at the office late at night.
Rohan said with seriousness, "Yes, you are right. I will try to go to the office early in the morning and not stay for too long in the evening." The therapist looked at Meera and said, "Meera, you should also understand a little. This project is important for Rohan's career, but it does not mean that he will not pay attention to you. You can both make a schedule together in which both get time.
Meera thought and said, "Yes, okay. Maybe we can go on a weekend." The therapist smiled and said, "Very good. This is a good start. You two spend an evening together for a week. During this time, you can have dinner together, watch a movie, or do any other activity of your choice.
After the therapy session ended, Meera and Rohan felt that maybe now there could be some change in their lives. They decided to listen to the therapist's suggestions. Will these suggestions save their marriage? We will know this in the next episode. This was the second part of Meera and Rohan's story. They opened their problems in front of the therapist.
Will therapy sessions be able to help them? Will they be able to get their loving life back? Stay tuned for the next episode.
