“Selena is one of my biggest inspirations,” Martinez said. “She learned through music. And there’s a lot of people in my family who only speak Spanish. And so I love to communicate with them through the way that I know, which is music.”

Martinez released an album last year, titled “Sol.”) He said he met his girlfriend after asking her to star in the music video for his single, “Momentos,”) via Instagram.
