Aaron Rodgers is a free agent for the first time. Though the Jets are not expected to officially announce the move, Rodgers was released by New York today at the start of the league year that according to ESPN, now Rodgers must decide whether he wants to return for a 21st season as the Giants and Steelers have emerged as teams interested in signing the four-time MVP. The move ends a wildly disappointing two years for Rodgers and the Jets. After being acquired from the Green Bay Packers in a trade, Rodgers was expected to make the Jets Super Bowl contenders.

Staying in college hoops, the SEC tournament kicked off today and John Calipari in Arkansas managed to hold off South Carolina. The Razorbacks defeated the Gamecocks 72-68 after nearly letting a 20-point lead get away.
Sophomore guard DJ Wagner had 13 points and 6 assists, including this big three late in the second half to give Arkansas a four-point advantage. That was courtesy of the SEC Network. In his first year at Arkansas, Calipari was looking to take the Razorbacks to the big dance.
