Shownotes Transcript

The tragic murder of 16-year-old Cassie Jo Stoddart, often referred to as the "Scream Murder," centers around a terrifying "life imitating art" crime that occurred in Pocatello, Idaho in 2006. Cassie, who was known for her vivacity and zest for life, was house-sitting in a remote location on a September night when, unbeknownst to her, a diabolical plan was set in motion by two of her high school classmates.  Driven by an obsession with violent films and a desire for notoriety, these ruthless teenage savages methodically devised and carried out an exceedingly violent murder, drawing inspiration from the movie "Scream" and documenting many of their sinister actions along the way. What transpired on that fateful September night was a harrowing and senseless act of brutality in which an innocent young girl, Cassie, fell victim to an unimaginably horrific death.  Please listen with caution.
