Hi, this is Shannon Doherty, host of the new podcast, Let's Be Clear with Shannon Doherty. You may know me from, let's see, 90210, Charmed, Mallrats, Heathers. You probably also know me from my stage four cancer diagnosis and sharing that journey with so many of you. I decided to start a podcast for a multitude of reasons, one being because I wanted to

I really like it when I get to connect with other people and tell my own story. My story has been told by so many other people, but not actually from me. And I think the amazing thing about a podcast is that you get to hear it straight from my mouth. The truth and nothing but the truth, completely unfiltered. So in this podcast, I'm going to be talking about

marriage, divorce. That's going to be a fun one. Let's see, friendships, my family, my career, starting all the way back from Father Murphy and Little House, A New Beginning to Charmed to the multitude of films that I've done. I'm also going to be talking a lot about cancer, the ups and the downs, the beauty of cancer, everything that I've learned from it,

And also the really hard times, the losing of the hair, the fact that it just hits you in your heart and how, I hate to say it, but vanity takes over to a certain extent. And I want to be honest about that.

How cancer has affected the relationships with people in my life, from ex-boyfriends to husbands to my mom to my friends, who has stood by my side, who has been loyal, who has just embraced it, who goes with me to my chemo treatments, who goes with me while I get brain surgery. I want to be clear about it all.

I want to be clear with my co-stars and all the rumors that you've heard about me throughout my life. It's time to let's just be clear. It's going to be an interesting journey. And I really hope that you all take this with me. I think that we can help one another. You know, I've been offered to do books, a memoir of my life so many times, and I've always said no. And when I decided to do a podcast, it was because

There's something so authentic about a podcast. It's me connecting, me talking raw in the moment. And that's what my goal is to give you, to talk about why I feel that cancer, to a certain extent, is a gift, what my responsibilities are as a person with cancer. What's my end goal in life? What is it that I'm supposed to finally achieve?

Because I think that there's something so much bigger than me. And to be honest, I'm still trying to find out what that is. And maybe together, we'll find it. So please tune in to Let's Be Clear with Shannon Doherty. It's going to be a wild ride. One that's inspiring, I hope. One that connects us all. One that's funny.
