Tora decided to help Aaron with his son out of a sense of Christian duty and a desire to be helpful. She was also concerned that Aaron was about to start an intensive nursing program and would likely have full custody of his infant son after his wife's arrest.
Tora felt uncomfortable because Aaron had already taken his prescribed pain medication and combining it with a fentanyl patch could lead to an overdose. Despite her concerns, Aaron dismissed her worries, saying he knew what he was doing.
Aaron's ex-wife and family showed up to inform Tora about Aaron's death and to assert their rights over the house and the child. They also revealed that much of what Tora knew about Aaron was false, including his race and family background.
Tora started to question Aaron's military background and injuries after finding a photo of his fully intact feet on his honeymoon and discovering discrepancies in his military discharge papers. She also found out that the family and military history he described were fabricated.
Tora decided to leave the house and the boy because she realized she wasn't part of his biological family and didn't have any legal right to the house. She also understood that with Aaron gone, she didn't have a place in the boy's life.
Tora felt she had PTSD because the trauma of discovering that Aaron was a fraud and the emotional impact of his death and subsequent revelations left her with symptoms typical of PTSD, such as flashbacks, anxiety, and emotional distress.
Tora wanted to tell her story to raise awareness about the existence of people who operate in the shadows and to support others who have been through similar experiences. She believes that sharing her story can help others heal and validate their experiences.
Death brings an avalanche of discoveries about the man Torrah thought she knew.
