You're going to want to stock your freezer with a lot of meat that's not going to cost you that much at all. It's an incredible value. There's free shipping. You can curate it to customize your box plans, and it gets delivered right to your doorstep.

No more annoying trips to the grocery store or the butcher. It's going to save you time and save you money. Welcome, welcome to our new show, The Underworld Podcast, with me, Danny Gold. And me, Sean Williams. Where we'll be taking you into the secret world of transnational criminal organizations, global scams, and violence at the intersection of history and politics. Everything from Serbian paramilitaries to Indian dons, Brighton Beach wiseguys, Irish gang wars, drug lords you've never heard of, and everything in between. Mixing in our own experiences reporting and covering organized crime all around the world. I'm Danny Gold.

I'm Danny Golds. I've reported on organized crime and violence across the world, making documentaries and writing for everyone from PBS NewsHour to Vice News, Sports Illustrated, Wired Magazine. I've gone to church in El Salvador with MS-13, interviewed Al Qaeda face-to-face in Syria, hung out with Crips and fentanyl dealers in St. Louis, and tried to track down the narcos at the center of the David Ortiz shooting in the Dominican Republic.

And I'm Sean Williams, a reporter who's been all over the world writing about crime, conflict, and tons in between. For The New Yorker, Harper's, GQ, and loads more. I've tracked down ISIS insurgents, uncovered cults in Nigeria, and I've hunted meth labs in the jungles of Myanmar. You can find this podcast anywhere. Please subscribe on Spotify, Stitcher, Apple, all your podcast listening needs.

And if you want to support us, go to the Patreon, which is patreon.com, the Underworld podcast, where you can pledge us different amounts of money per month and get certain bonuses, whether it's extra episodes or Q&As with us. And look, you could listen to like one of the four million true crime podcasts about how Johnny Trailer Park had his wife murdered so he could date her sister. Or you could learn about the global underworld and shadow economy. We're going to get under the skin of the mafias that make the crime world tick and the roots behind their rise. We're going to be bringing you a new episode, hopefully every week.

We might mix in some interviews, bonus episodes to Patreon and everything like that. There'll probably be some stuff about the Queen, football versus cricket or shit like that too. I mean, not if I can help it. Yeah, one last thing we want to make clear is that, you know, we're going to do the best job we can, but we want to make sure that our audience keeps us honest. So if you fact check us, if you find something that's inaccurate, you can send us an email at theunderworldpodcast.gmail.com and we'll be sure to read it on the following episode. So for now, subscribe,

Listen, tell everyone you can. And until the next episode, signing off. Cheers.
