I know mine by the crime scenes I've been to. I'm a crime reporter for Global News, a beat I've worked on for more than 20 years. I see some really bad stuff and cover some very dark subject matter. These cases involve real people who've gone through things most of us will hopefully never have to face. They've suffered horrible loss or unspeakable trauma.
I report on crime because I want to provide a voice for victims. And I spend a lot of my time knocking on criminals' doors to ask the questions victims can't.
