Hello there, you awakening wonders. Thanks for joining me today for Stay Free with Russell Brand. We've got a brilliant show today. Marty Makary is going to be on the show. Marty Makary, if you've been in this space for any time at all, you will know that he's been outspoken on the subject of medical industry exploitation and big pharma corruption. He's bought the receipts. He's got them today. We'll be talking to him about his new book, but we'll also be talking about the

numerous pandemic related stories that are still in the headlines right now. We'll also be talking about Ryan Roof's $150,000 bounty to assassinate Trump. Doesn't seem like very much money for, well, I would say that it would be a risky endeavor, but some plucky new assassin seems to turn up every day, don't they, to take a little shot at

the Trump title so let's get straight into the giddy whirlwind bear excuse me my dogs in here

Lay down there. Hey everyone in the Rumble chat, I'm talking to you, Masked Texan and Halal Dunya and Ronnie Ra 9. Thanks for joining us. Lay down. Yeah, it's not much, is it, for an assassination attempt. And hello, Awaken Wonders there. All of you guys, I hope you will enjoy our chat with Asim Malhotra and our interview with Vivek, which you'll see on Rumble tomorrow that's already up for you, Awaken Wonders, and

In Russell Brand's stand-up breakdown, we will be talking about George Carlin and his incredible influence on political comedy. Let me know your favourite George Carlin quotes in the chat on Rumble and in Locals. If you're watching this on YouTube, we'll be there for about 15 minutes. But after a while, you have to accept this fact. YouTube as a platform,

promotes corporate news. Yes, for commercial reasons, but also in order to control the information that you get access to. Gone are the days when YouTube was a free-for-all, not even a free-for-all, a meritocracy where the best information would reach the most people. Now it is a curated space controlled by the same kind of legacy media interests that will have you believing that saints are sinners and that sinners are saints, that devils ought be worshipped

and that your own awakening is your own problem. You've seen how the legacy media behaves. You know how they think about you. You know that you cannot trust them. And you know that eventually you'll have to click the link, come over to Rumble, where whatever challenges you may have read, Rumble receive. Banned in France because they wouldn't take down Russia today. Banned

in Brazil because they're controlling free speech over there. Banned in Russia. Why isn't YouTube banned in Russia? What are they doing for Putin that Rumble ain't? I don't know. That's all speculative. What Rumble do do is support free speech. There's no question about it. And free speech is going to be more necessary than ever because, I mean...

Of course, we're all hoping that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz win, right? Those guys, they're fantastic. They're definitely not centrists, remotely authoritarian, ciphers of globalism. No way. Well, I've got even more good news in the event, and we can but pray, we can but pray that they are able to form a globalist administration in the once glorious United States of America. Hillary Clinton could be on board. She's back, baby. She could be back. Isn't

I mean, dream after dream. Please stop the abundant splendor. There's only so much joy a population can take. Is there any side of you, if there is a Harris-Walls administration, that you would want to play a part in it, whether officially or unofficially? Well, certainly unofficially, I want to be as helpful as I can and would do anything I was asked.

I've got some suggestions. We have so much to do that it really should be all hands on deck and anybody who can help in any capacity should be willing to do so. Okay, that's a pretty extraordinary claim. All hands on deck. Watch out. Get your help off of me, as they say. Hey, good news, everyone.

There will be no cessation in at least one of the needless global wars in which human beings, all part of one human family, senselessly slaughter one another so that the interests of the military-industrial complex can continue to be fulfilled.

Vladimir Zelensky is in the United States visiting munitions factories and along with one of his chums I believe he's even signing bombs that may yet one day be used to kill I mean and this is just another hope innocent children I mean we could be so close from November

Onwards, we could have a proper globalist totalitarian system where in every country in the world we have some well-meaning bureaucrat telling you they're here to help, whether it's Justin Trudeau in Canada, Macron in France, Keir Starmer here in the UK or Kamala Harris in the United States. All of them oozing mawkishness and maudlin sentimentality, brows knitted, globalist edict.

marauding forward uninterrupted for censorship will surely then be fully immersive and totalitarian. We can cross our fingers and pray that one of the bombs that drop on the children we love will have been signed by Zelensky himself. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky is in the United States to present what he calls a victory plan

to President Joe Biden and presidential hopefuls Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. In Pennsylvania, Zelensky toured an ammunitions factory that produces artillery shells. He thanked the workers there and he told them that Ukraine needs more of what they make. Zelensky and the state governor even put their signatures on some of the shells. The Ukrainian leader's plan includes...

This is the appalling crossover that's been taking place between the worlds of show business and the world of politics for some time now. Ultimately, show business is a managed reality where you are sold stories, narratives, and artifacts that create certain states

Within you increasingly we're beginning to realise that it's populated perhaps by individuals with connections that seem somewhat dubious. I'm of course referring to the ongoing Didi investigations and the mysteries that surround the death

of Jeffrey Epstein, whose client list still hasn't been released as yet. Who were taking those trips on those planes? Suddenly you have a figure like Zelensky himself, a former show business personality presented as a statesman making appeals for revenue and blood money on...

corporate TV shows, on award shows, turning up and glad-handing JP Morgan and making all sorts of requests and requirements for further, ultimately, US taxpayer money and British taxpayer money to perpetuate a war that's unwinnable against the nuclear superpower. And

In the end, when you know that the simulacrum is glitching, when you know that this synthetic reality that they lay like renewed scales across your eyes is beginning to become evident, you have the ludicrous and obscene spectacle of Zelensky signing bombs. Imagine for a moment that that was Donald Trump with his characteristic zigzag eyes.

heart monitor mad signature on a set of missiles bound for who knows where for whatever conflict choose the conflict that you don't agree with i don't agree obviously with any of them who wants war except for people that profit from war and in order to profit from war you have to present war as kind of either necessary or fun or innocuous or as a form of entertainment perhaps this began as baudrillard

offered us with the Iraq war spectacle certainly now in the Ukraine Russia conflict we've become detached from the reality have hundreds of thousands of dead Ukrainians and dead Russians and an end to that war and end to the conflict in the Middle East and an end to increasing hostilities between China

And the United States of America is surely what all of us require. But when I say all of us, I'm of course excluding the very powerful elites that appear to benefit.

from ongoing conflict, ongoing fear, ongoing death, ongoing war. Some big demands of its Western allies. For its part, Ukraine's strategy continues to involve hitting inside Russian territory with drones. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says his detailed victory plan could help turn the tide. He says it gives Ukraine the, quote, strongest possible position to bring peace closer. U.S. media reports that officials...

The strongest possible position to bring peace closer does seem like an extraordinary claim while signing bombs in a munitions factory. If you've done any investigations into some of the relationships between Ukrainian government officials and the Ukrainian government broadly and an organization like BlackRock, if you've done any research into the origins of that conflict, you will be extremely dubious that a peaceful conflict

outcome is in the offing if this is the path that we, and I say we because we're funding it, continue down. Cholls have seen elements of the victory plan and are confident that it can work. But Joe Biden will be the first person to see the entire plan. Zelensky said that if the U.S. doesn't sign off, war may continue for years.

OK, let's have a look at Glenn Greenwald's response and I think Charlie Kirk's response in there. This is Charlie Kirk, a rumble pundit and conservative commentator. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris just flew a foreign leader into a swing state on a military plane during early voting of an election year so that this foreign leader could campaign on their behalf against Trump. This is an overt foreign election interference.

The direct use of a foreign power with its own interest to meddle in American elections is all financed with taxpayer money. Whether Harris wins or loses, this should be considered an impeachable offence. Certainly it sort of highlights the fact that Zelensky's been turned into a

kind of celebrity doesn't it democrats spent eight years whining about foreign interference in our sacred elections and they're campaigning with ukraine's president for life in key swing states there are no principles there are only desirable outcomes let me know in the comments and chat if you agree with that there are no principles that undergird their political movement there are just required outcomes say whatever you want to say get kamala harris on oprah winfrey and just

have a cavalcade of celebrities lighting up the screen at a time when people are surely questioning the legitimacy of celebrity as an institution due to some of the matters I've already mentioned, the ongoing Didi investigation, the likelihood that the Weinstein problem is pretty widespread and the fact that the experts

Epstein files ain't been not Epstein files client list ain't been released files you can forget about that you will be long dead in a cold cold earth before we see any of that stuff but the Kamala Harris campaign does have in addition to the support of 200 former Bush staffers and the whole Cheney family 700 national security and military leaders endorse Harris I wonder

what that means we would have to look forward to in the next four years. Probably a lot of the kind of peace that Zelensky is selling us. Peace at the end of a missile. More than 700 current and former national security leaders and former military officials are endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris, signing onto a letter

writing that Harris defends America's democratic ideals while former President Donald Trump endangers them. Why was it important for you all to put out this letter now? To educate and inform the American people that former President Trump is not qualified to be president of the United States again. Vice President Harris

provides the strong, consistent, rational leadership that our country needs at this time. Our national security and our interests depends on strong, rational, consistent leadership, which she will provide, not impulsiveness as former President Donald Trump.

impulsiveness the military industrial complex along with warmongers like the cheney family support kamala harris and donald trump is derided for saying i want the killing to stab that's the kind of stuff that passes as ridiculous so that the cavalcade of condemnation can continue before we get to ryan roof's 150 000

quite low assassination attempt offer. I mean, that's not a big number, Ryan. It's got an extraordinary history. Another one of these would-be assassins with a peculiar past and peculiar connections and a low budget, let's face it, when it comes to recruiting other assassins. We'll be talking about that story. It's being covered and publicized in a way that's somewhat unique. If you're watching us on YouTube, click the link in the description now to see the conclusion

of this story. Begin the countdown please to see the conclusion of this story and indeed for our coverage on Kamala's curious appearance on Oprah. It's extraordinary to me, click that link, click it, to still see the idea of celebrity offered up as an endorsement. Who am

us let me know in the comments in the chat believe that a kind of the offering of celebrity advocacy is meaningful as we learn more and more about the deep corruption in those spaces click that link on YouTube let's have a look now Kamala Harris appearing on Oprah with

a good many famous folk. And let me know if you still live in a space where that can actually influence you. Cammy is just to follow the WEF recommendations. Yeah, that's a good point. That's the sort of stuff, man. Let me have a quick... Let's have a look at some of these celebrity endorsements and the celebrity fanfare continuing...

to support this campaign that likely, based on some of the other endorsements, the non-celebrity, the military, industrial complex and national security endorsements, will probably lead to the perpetuation of more unnecessary but profitable, for them, costly for you, wars. It was classic Oprah. Please welcome Kamala Harris!

On a Detroit stage resembling the set for her long-running talk show, the host interviewed Vice President Harris with a live audience and thousands of virtual guests. Hello, President Harris. Including several celebrities. The campaign hopes star power will propel Harris' message on everything from January 6th to gun control. When you said you have guns, no, at the debate. I'm a gun owner. I did not know that.

If somebody breaks into my house, they're getting shot. Sorry. Yes, yes. I hear that. I hear that. Probably should not have said that. I know.

This whole thing is so edgy and crazy and not at all stage managed. It's fantastic! Before we go back to that clip, we have a quick message from one of our partners. The Federal Reserve has dropped interest rates so you need to call American Financing today. With mortgage rates in the fours, it's the time to consolidate debt and reduce your monthly expenses. Many of us have been forced to use credit cards because of the ridiculous prices for groceries, utilities and even childcare. Debt

is really expensive with credit credit card rates being insanely high but with mortgage rates dropping now is the time to wipe that debt out american financing is helping homeowners save over 800 a month on average start today and you could delay two mortgage payments which i guess is helpful if you are in a difficult crushing situation in debt if that's you there's no upfront

fee to find out how much you can save call american financing today that's 888-804-0303 that's 888-804-0303 or visit americanfinancing.net slash russell there's a link in the description if that would help you out give it a go let's go back to the content i'm just going to press play now and it will continue oprah asked harris about suddenly soaring to the top of the ticket when president biden stepped down i've

Like that's such favorable language, isn't it? Suddenly soaring to the top of the ticket when Biden stepped down. That poor old codger was ushered and cudgeled and smashed out of that position.

more bewildered than he was in the preceding month. And Kamala Harris has been packaged and managed and shellacked and shined in order to appear like a favorable candidate rather than just the latest cipher for a set of corporate globalist interests that plainly prefer war to peace because there's no profit in peace, baby. - Felt a sense of responsibility, to be honest with you. And with that comes a sense of purpose.

Okay, well purpose is what it's all about and Ryan Routh clearly had a pretty nefarious one when he was found on Trump's golf course

with an assault rifle. Let's have a look at the news story covering that. Why is it being so... Why is this story being amplified in such an unusual manner? After we cover this, we will be with Dr. Maimakari, MD, talking about his forthcoming book, Blindspots. We're excited to have that conversation. First of all, Ryan Roof.

offered $150,000, not enough to assassinate Donald Trump. Let's have a look. The man accused of trying to assassinate former President Donald Trump reportedly leaving behind a pre-written note

And again, this released by justice officials. And we have it for you here in that the fact that he did plan this attack, even predicting his failure, plus offering a reward of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars to anyone who could, quote, complete the job. This is all according to a federal report. The note indicating Ruth had reportedly been planning the assassination for. If you are interested in assassinating Donald Trump, why not?

this number. You too could earn $150,000 by assassinating Donald Trump. You're fired. Remember that? Why not turn up at his golf course at these times and attempt an assassination yourself? You could already be ridden. Long time. One of the things that's striking here is, you know, we were told when there was the shooting at Covenant School that we couldn't release the manifesto because it might inspire other shootings. So to see DOJ release this letter, uh,

with a bounty, frankly, $150,000 bounty, uh, you know, it kind of leads one to believe, you know, are they trying to inspire? Right. So that's, that's the concern here. Public,

publicising Ryan Ruth's offer to assassinate Trump or to advance $150,000. I don't know where he's getting that money. Did you see how the guy was living? To anyone that would make another attempt on Trump's life is extraordinary and anomalous when it comes to the usual way in which such things are reported in order to avoid copycat strikes. But it's hardly surprising when Zelensky is being trotted out as a kind of campaign animal, signing missiles bound for the House

of as yet unmaimed children is extraordinary to see the lack of ethics and morality behind this centralist globalist political movement and it is a requirement to support any potential disruption and I believe that with the alliance between Bobby Kennedy and others along with the existing MAGA movement there is precisely that an opportunity to disrupt a trajectory towards further globalism corporatism citizen management and I

ongoing medical nightmares. But that's just what I think. Why don't you let me know what you think in the comments and the chat. Remember, if you're not watching this on Rumble right now, like, subscribe, turn on the notification bell. It's the only way you'll receive it. And if you're not an Awaken Wonder already, consider becoming one because we give you early access to much of our content. You can ask me questions directly and I will answer them. Plus, you get to attend live events and have meet and greets with me. Like, for example, I'm going to be with Tucker Carlson in Fort Lauderdale this Friday.

Friday! And if you attend and your locals awaken one day, if you're one of the winners of the three pairs of tickets, I'll meet ya, I'll say hello to ya, and you can also come to the Rescue the Republic event in Washington, D.C. this Sunday. Meet me there.

I'm pretty excited to meet you. So the likes of you, True Chimera, Sensitive Hearts, Paulie D, True Seer, any of you that are in that kind of neck of the woods, in that kind of hood, you're welcome to come say hello. Just email us at tickets at Russell Brand. But you've got to be a member of our community to participate in that. Time now for a fantastic conversation that I'm really quite enthralled

to be having. Since the beginning of the pandemic period, we were consistently regularly quoting the work of Dr. Marty Makary, Johns Hopkins professor and New York Times bestselling author. Dr. Makary has been a visiting professor at over 25 medical schools and has published over 250 scientific peer-reviewed articles. His research focuses on the appropriateness of medical care

administrative waste and the impact of health recommendations on society. It was only during the pandemic period that he rose to notoriety beyond the field of his expertise because of his outspoken views both on various mandates, medications that you will insist on calling mRNA technology, the lack of clinical trials prior to the release and near-mandating, if not actual mandating, of many of these drugs. Dr. Marty Makary, thank you so much for joining us on Stay Free with Russell Brand.

Good to be with you, Russell. You've written this book. Blind Spots is going to be out very soon. We'll put a link in the description. It goes way beyond what we learned of you in the pandemic period, that you are a very bold and brave, brilliant man willing to confront some pretty powerful interests. In fact, you've been making comparable claims where necessary in other industries.

areas where the pharmaceutical industry has overreached when it comes to claims for some of its products, where it has concealed the negative impact of some of its medicines. I wonder if you can talk us through some of the most significant revelations in your book, Blind Spots, whether that's the opioid crisis and the ludicrous claims that opioids are not addictive. I can testify personally that they are very, very, very addictive.

Can you talk us through the sort of general context of blind spots and how, in a sense, the framework for the disaster that was the pandemic had long since been established institutionally by the pharmaceutical industry?

Well, thanks, Russell. It's good to be with you. So groupthink is a powerful force, and it's not just in science, it's in politics and business. And there's a psychology to it, sort of surrendering one's independent thinking and no longer being open-minded, even though one may claim to be open-minded, and just signing up for the herd mentality, the bandwagon effect.

And in medicine, that group think has done tremendous damage. COVID was a little peak on broader medical establishment works, but we've got a small group of people at the top and they've gotten a lot of stuff wrong, igniting some modern day health crises, saying opioids were not addictive, igniting the opioid epidemic, saying that kids should avoid peanuts until they're three years of age, including peanut butter, that ignited immune sensitivities and ignited the modern day peanut allergy epidemic.

And there's a long list of things that the government has gotten wrong, putting out misinformation on the food pyramid and ignoring the food supply. We have an epidemic of chronic diseases. And until recently, no one has been talking about the fact that half of our nation's children are obese or overweight. Autoimmune diseases are going up. Autism has gone up 14% every year for 23 years. In my field of pancreatic cancer, rates have gone up

Double in the last 20 years, double the number of pancreatic cancer cases. What is going on? We've got to stop and look at our poison food supply.

Highly engineered chemicals that have been added to our food system, the school lunch program, the incorrect demonization of natural fats, and how we've created addictive substances. The kids are addicted, and we like to blame patients for their diseases in medicine, but it may be that adults have done this to children. So we've got to stop and look at our food supply. It's been something that's been in one of the big blind spots of modern medicine.

Callie Means is a regular contributor to our show. And from our conversations, we've understood the toxicity in food, the endemic infusion of foods with highly processed ingredients. But I'm only now becoming aware, Doctor, of the addictive component. And that peanut story, I'd never heard that before. Who am

Among Us isn't annoyed that they can't let their own children take peanuts to school because of the allergy. Who among us doesn't feel a pang of fury when you're told on an airplane that you can't eat nuts? I had no idea that that was a result of poorly considered advice. Can you tell us in particular what is it that's creating the addictive component when it comes to these toxins or poisons as you call them in food?

Well, first of all, Callie and Casey Means are doing great work. And the three of us, along with some others, met up with RFK Jr. and spoke to members at a Senate roundtable yesterday to get more attention on this. This is bipartisan. As RFK Jr. has said, can we love our children more than we hate each other? Is this something we can all agree on? This is something that was a champion cause for the Democrat and liberal elite in the United States yesterday.

And RFK basically joined with Trump to say they are willing to take on big pharma and big food and big ag. So we were talking about that yesterday. As you know, the food scientists moved over to the food industry and they figured out how to make these foods attractive and addictive. Yeah.

Fruit Loops, made by Kellogg, has two versions. One for Canada, where all the food additives and colorings have been banned. And then one for the United States, where they add all these chemicals to make the cereal look prettier and brighter, and they can market it to children better. Well, it's making kids sick. The immune system in the gut is reacting, not with the big inflammatory storm to all these chemicals and seed oils and pesticides, but it's reacting with a low-grade reaction.

inflammation that's constant. It's always there and it makes people feel sick.

and sad. And what are we doing? We're giving people more antidepressants. And the more we give, the more people are depressed. And we have got to stop. What are we doing? We have the most overmedicated population in the history of the world. We cannot keep going down this road. There's discussions in political circles now about how the Biden administration was able to get Medicare to negotiate drug prices for 10 commercial drugs.

Well, the best way to lower drug costs in America are to stop taking drugs we don't need. We are going to save supposedly $6 billion from that program in a healthcare economy that's $4.5 trillion and expanding by $200 billion each year. These are not fixes. These are not addressing the root

causes of our broken healthcare system. These are shiny objects around the periphery. They may have their merits, but we've got to address the root causes of our chronic disease epidemic. This problem is so fundamental, almost, well, in fact, animal. The idea that the food we are eating is intoxicated, making us sick and addicted, that as you

indicated arguments about the ability to control the prices of 10 drugs or even cultural issues that have a lot of emotion attached to them and tend to define the debates and conversation around election cycles seem ludicrously esoteric and ancillary compared to something like an institutional and international

but in particular in your country level, we are eating food that is poisoning us, perhaps because of a conspiracy, even if not an explicit conspiracy, the kind of conspiracy that emerges when interests converge, to have people eat addictive food continually and remain sick.

How is it doctor, that something so fundamental, so ubiquitous and necessary as the standard of the food that people eat, isn't dominating legacy media spaces? Why are we not seeing this communicated? Instead of sort of talking about, why don't you try this diet for six months? So if you had a go at intermittent fasting, this product might make your hair look nice. Why are we not talking about something that's so pivotal and fundamental?

Because our so-called healthcare experts are leaders,

have distracted us from these major issues, the root causes, and instead tell us that the problem in healthcare is that we're not prescribing enough. We're not seeing enough patients and generating enough money at our hospitals. We've done a terrible thing to doctors. We've told them, focus on billing and coding and seeing patients in short visits, and we're going to measure you by your throughput. And we play this game and we're running a

and operating and no one is saying stop what is going on all of these chronic diseases have gone up from a largely from a poison food supply if another country did this to us poisoned our food supply making half of our nation's children overweight and obese driving up rates of cancer and autoimmune disease and autism and all these problems we would consider that an act of war

So thankfully, now we're finally talking about this. We're challenging the medical establishment. And that's what I'm trying to do in this book, Blind Spots. Maybe we need to talk about school lunch programs, not just putting every kid on Ozempic. Maybe we need to talk about treating diabetes with cooking classes.

not just throwing insulin at people. And maybe we need to talk about environmental exposures that cause cancer, not just the chemo to treat it. We've got to talk about food as medicine and exposures that drive body inflammation as the root cause of so many of our chronic diseases.

This is all unpacked in more detail in Martin Makary's book Blind Spots. It's out now in the United States. We're posting a link in the description everywhere and I endorse this book.

wholeheartedly, aggressively, as a matter of fact. One of the things that becomes clear is the reason that you can't have the conversation that's required, the reason that you can't act on the wisdom that you've accumulated. I mean, when I say one cannot, when governments can't, when regulatory bodies can't, is because in India,

each of the examples you listed, in order to address them, you would have to unbuckle and decouple such potent interests as it would amount to a kind of revolution. Before long, wouldn't you be saying that we should in general eat food that was either grown or reared close to the people that are eating it? Wouldn't it mean in the end a kind of revision of all of our social systems that sooner or later are

attached to principles of power and institutions of power that maintain the totalitarian control of both information and systems of communication precisely so that that reckoning does not take place. In short, isn't what you're discussing so revolutionary that it amounts to more than supporting brilliant people like Bobby Kennedy who are bringing this issue to the forefront of people's attention. It amounts really to a revolution, Doctor.

Yeah, we need courage to tackle the hammerlock that big pharma and big food have on our American healthcare system or healthcare system in general. If you look at where we're going right now, we're not going in a good place. We can't keep going down this path. We've got to change where we spend our research dollars. Why were we spending money

looking at bad coronaviruses in a lab in Wuhan, China. Why is that where the NIH is spending their money? How about studying food as medicine in school lunch programs? Why are we funding research on giving cocaine to Japanese quail to watch their behavior? That's a real government grant from the United States government. How about studying the role of pesticides and gut health? We've got a lining of the GI tract called the microbiome, and it is central to gut health.

And we have ignored it. It's been in one of the blind spots of modern medicine. But it turns out a lot of things affect that balance of bacteria that live in the gut that are involved in digestion and training the immune system and produce serotonin involved in mood. And studies now are showing, and I go through these studies in the book, when you give a kid an antibiotic they don't need, you're carpet bombing that microbiome. They have a higher rate of obesity.

Heck, farmers have noticed it for decades. When you give antibiotics to animals, it makes them fatter.

And so the world expert on the microbiome just did the study showing the same is happening in kids. We've got to get back to basic ancient principles of living, whole foods, clean meats, spending time meditating or with some peace and quiet and community. These are biblical principles, actually. The medical field discovers them as if they just discovered something novel. But these are basic principles, whole foods, physicality.

from good soil, clean meats, meditating, and community.

When you list them in that manner, what becomes clear is that we are inhabiting a synthetic environment. A synthetic environment affords control. We are living at a time where control is being increased exponentially, usually under the auspices of care. To tell people that you were exerting authority for authority's sake would surely be to provoke their

ire and opposition when we get back from this brief message dr marty mccurry i would love to talk to you about the revelations of the 2019 to 2022 period where you were most outspoken when it came to all matters connected to the pandemic before we get to that with your permission sir here is a brief message from one of our partners in an intriguing new space have a look

We can't make this content without the support of our fantastic partners. You're going to love this one. When I was at the Bitcoin conference, speaking me, Edward Snowden, Donald Trump, Bobby Kennedy, I learned a lot about the world of Bitcoin and the world of mining. GoMining offers a new way of earning Bitcoin by buying NFTs, that's non-fungible tokens, that represent a share in real mining equipment. It helps to avoid the difficulties associated with purchasing and maintaining mining equipment.

The cheapest NFT is only about $25 and you can upgrade and get more daily rewards. You start receiving rewards like literally 24 hours after purchasing. It's a real dopamine hit, baby, or a crypto hit. I don't know how these things work anymore. Go mining tokens and NFTs are backed by real data centers and mining equipment. Dr. Marty Makary, during the pandemic period, I have to thank you personally. You are one of our chief sources of information. We were continually citing your articles and using your content in order to explain to our audience what was happening as increasingly we became aware that we had been

lied to. You've always been incredibly outspoken on this subject. I wonder if you can tell us, it's a very broad question, what you feel the pandemic period illustrated. And, you know, I'll shut up in a minute, but like, is it true, in your opinion, that many of the medications, the mRNA technology, for example, is

It has led to an increase in cancers. You said about an increase in pancreatic cancer, but we were talking about your book, Blind Spots and the sort of more generalized toxicity of food and negligence within medicine. I wonder what you consider to be the most serious learnings from the pandemic period and the most egregious transgressions of the pharmaceutical industry and the government in that time.

Well, look, we saw groupthink and its naked power right in front of us. And it scared a lot of people. They lost trust in doctors and hospitals. A study that just looked at trust in doctors and hospitals in the United States. And by the way, I was born in Liverpool, England. So I'm very interested in things that are happening in England. And I think my book hits bookstores in England next month. It's in the U.S. now.

But trust in doctors and hospitals in the United States went from 71% down to 40% over those four years. That's a 31-point drop. People feel that they've been lied to. And you know what? They were lied to. One of the greatest propagators of misinformation was the United States government, telling us that cloth masks had to be on a toddler for three years.

arguing that schools had to be closed for safety reasons for a year and nine months, pushing COVID vaccine boosters on young, healthy children, ignoring natural immunity. I just saw that the Harris-Walls campaign has a requirement for the COVID vaccine, once again, ignoring natural immunity. Didn't matter if you just recovered from COVID. It's a requirement. And so you see this groupthink, this sort of,

intellectual dishonesty to just stick to a party line so we can get the stupid people in America to do what we want them to do. That's the mentality. Because when I did studies on natural immunity, including one of the largest studies in our top medical journal on natural immunity,

It turns out that public health officials privately told me, yes, Marty, we know natural immunity is real and effective, but we can't say that because it may cause someone to not want to get the vaccine. We saw...

governments do one of the most dangerous things a government can do. In the United States, we fired the two top vaccine experts at the FDA when they opposed the COVID vaccine booster in young, healthy people. We reamed it through with an emergency use authorization without requiring the proper trials. We forced it on children, and then we silenced and censored the doctors who dissented with a different opinion. That is the most dangerous thing a government can do, and we just witnessed that.

We're approaching an election and it is in our conversation so far, the two of the subjects that we're discussing, food is poisonous. There needs to be a massive reckoning that will lead to the incredible power of big food over agriculture and likely media and the relationship between big pharma and big food. Now we are explaining that during the pandemic period, medical malpractice, government ineptitude,

media negligence reached an unprecedented or at least somewhat unique peak

why are these issues not at the forefront of everyone's mind how is information being managed and controlled so successfully and how can and how do you intend other than of course for your book blind spots which is out in the u.s now and will be out in the uk soon planning to ensure that people are equipped with the necessary facts in order to conduct these conversations and resist what appears to be an endless deluge that's marching us for

further into the direction that would expedite further problems of the nature that just outlined. Well, Russell, a bunch of us are so sick of the dogma and groupthink of the medical establishment misleading the public.

that we decided to go directly to the American people through media, through books, through you name it, and tell them not just during COVID about the misinformation that was spread about COVID, but also about the other misinformation the government is still propagating today.

saying that the food pyramid is the way we should design our nutrition programs in the United States, saying that hormone replacement therapy for women that go through menopause causes breast cancer when the data never supported it. These are incredible, massive recommendations. I mean, the number one thing we told patients for 60 years was to avoid saturated fat.

That was based on the flawed food pyramid written by the food industry. And to this day, we still have incredible conflicts of interest. So a bunch of us are saying we're going to go directly to the public.

Myself, Peter Attia, Casey Means, Kelly Means, Vinay Prasad. We're just, we are going directly to public because civil discourse is good for medical science. It is good. When you allow experts to debate and wrestle with different topics, you can learn and grow. And that's how we discover new things. When we have a small group of people making all the decisions from the top, just shooting from the hip,

They have a lousy track record telling us opioids were not addictive, igniting the peanut allergy epidemic, the food pyramid, making women suffer through menopause without hormone therapy with the dogma that causes breast cancer, saying antibiotics won't hurt you, separating babies from birth. For 50 years, we did that. The babies belong with their mother. The medical establishment can do tremendous harm when it does not use good science and it rules with groupthink. Yeah.

One of the pieces of your research, or at least research that you have publicized, is that one in 50 people had a medically attended adverse event as a result of taking one of the mRNA shots. It seems like the kind of thing that people should be aware of. And I was also struck by the information that a healthy five-year-old would take 72 COVID vaccine shots in a lifetime. How...

I wonder if you could just talk me through how something that seems, how a couple of data points that seem so extreme have been completely either normalized or ignored. It's amazing. When I see a patient now in the hospital, my electronic healthcare record system automatically creates an alert that says, "This patient is not up to date with their latest COVID shot."

You know, this sort of absolutism, this hyper enthusiasm around this religion to get everyone a COVID booster. It's not based on science. There's no clinical trials to support it.

But this religion, I wish we could take 1% of that absolutism and talk about our poison food supply and what we're doing to children and childhood obesity and diabetes. The way that this bandwagon effect gets so fixated on things when the medical priesthood decides this is what we're going to focus on, that does tremendous damage. Russell, I know...

of three people who have died from the COVID vaccine. I'm one doctor, okay? There are other people who are friends or relatives of friends. Most of them are some relative or close friend of a friend of mine. If I know of three people, how many more people out there have been injured? We don't have good data because our medical oligarchs

have decided to weaponize research funding and they don't want us to look at these issues they didn't study natural immunity i had to scrape together the funds from philanthropists to do the big study out of johns hopkins and when we published it in our number one medical journal

The social media outlets took it down. So this is a very unhealthy environment. And that's why many of us are going directly to the public. I want people to know the truth around so many health recommendations. And I didn't talk about COVID in the book, but I wanted to go directly to the public and talk to them about the epidemic of medical dogma that still looms large in so many areas of health.

You've called it a priesthood and certainly the degree of psychological and even spiritual control because there were a litany of peculiar behaviours that emerged during that period that were certainly not rational even though they marched under the livery of precisely that orthodoxy. It seems that there has been a deep and pervasive ideological capture.

Even to read, as I am now, that the FDA cleared the vaccine without any human outcomes data seems extraordinary, even though it's, of course, obvious that there can't have been any real-time outcomes when it comes to, for example, long-term effects. Is that true? And is it also true, Doctor, that the FDA has authorised a new Novavax COVID-19 vaccine, again, without any clinical data?

Well, the Novavax vaccine is a more traditional platform. My concern is when you have reports of mRNA vaccines causing sudden cardiac-related deaths and you don't look into it, and then you declare to the public that it's safe, it may be safe, but when you have no science, you are engendering a tremendous amount of distrust. And it can take

decades to undo that. Remember the Tuskegee experiment in the 1960s in the United States where they took African-Americans and let them infected them and let them have syphilis into late stages, causing terrible late stages, stages of disease.

in a controlled environment, they wouldn't treat it. It was entirely 100% curable with the treatment. They did not treat it for decades just to watch it play out. That horrible, barbaric experiment is still fresh in the minds of many African-Americans. And while many people think it was Republicans that were the most unvaccinated community, no.

It was the African-American community by proportion with the lowest vaccination rates with the COVID vaccine because they have been burned by this medical establishment and their arrogance and elitism putting out things with such absolutism when there was really never strong clinical trial data to support many of the recommendations that we have out there today. The study on Paxlovid, remember the Paxlovid, the antiviral? It was supposed to be the miracle cure.

Pfizer makes this drug. It was one of the biggest public health pushes in the last two years by the White House and the FDA and pharma. Quite honestly, I can't tell the difference between the FDA and pharma sometimes, but they're all saying, take it, take it.

Study just came out in the New England Journal, zero benefit, zero in low-risk individuals. And the trial finished nearly two years ago. Why didn't we hear about it in those two years? This is the slow walking of manipulating the American public to serve the interests of big pharma. You've said that going forward that you...

And your cadre of fellow open-hearted good faith experts are going to bypass the challenges that many people face by going directly to the public. What defines your message going forward? How ought people approach diet? How ought people approach

medicine how people to approach even their own physicians when it seems at times that you know given the example you gave of like you know reminders telling you that people need to take their shots that doctors are in some cases merely administrators of the will and intention of big pharma how do we as a dislocated and bewildered individuals looking with trust to physicians

redress the imbalance that you've outlined with such a shocking clarity over the course of our conversation? Well, look, people need to know about groupthink in the medical establishment. They need to know where there's good science and where there's not. And you want a doctor where you can have a conversation, a doctor who listens, a doctor who will say, I don't know when that's the right answer. That was the right answer. A lot of times during COVID, you never heard it during COVID. And after COVID, I had

I don't know about you, Russell. I've not heard a single apology for any one of the catastrophic COVID policies, including not allowing people to say goodbye to their dying loved ones for nearly two years in the hospital. That is one of the worst human rights violations

violations I could envision we do to people. There are things worse than dying. We did horrible things in these arrogant policies, not at a brash moment when we had to make a quick emergency decision, but we held on to these cruel policies that harmed the public and children. And the untold story of COVID is its disproportional effect on poor and minority communities.

So people, I think, are hungry for some humility, some honesty. And I find as a doctor, when you're honest with people and you're forthcoming and you can even evolve your position as new information comes in, if you're honest and transparent, people can be very forgiving. But we've not seen that humility. We have an old guard medical establishment that serves terms like old European monarchs.

They never leave power. I mean, the editors of the New England Journal of Medicine, they never leave. And so we are now seeing a new, just like in your world of media, you went from corporate media to a bunch of citizen journalists and people out there talking about what the main corporate media is not talking about. We're doing the same in medicine. We are talking about what's in the blind spots of modern medicine, gut health, food is medicine,

environmental exposures, the truth about antibiotics, C-sections, both of which can save lives, but both of which alter gut health, pesticides, and so many other things. How to prevent cancer, how to prevent peanut allergies. These are all things I go to in depth in the book. Yeah, that's pretty exciting. Okay, I understand. Also, it's clear how, again, Eve, in the field that you're working in,

medical excellence science that the ability to communicate to large audiences instantaneously would suggest a decentralization of power, would suggest an ability to challenge the phrase you keep using, groupthink, which for me means that there must be such an entrenched institutionalization that an

an industry or a discipline, should I say discipline, a better term, a discipline that's meant to be built upon data and continuing evolution and debate and conversation and amendment and clinical trials and conversation and empiricism has become dogma. That's extraordinary. You used the phrase priesthood as I pointed out a little earlier. And I can

can see that whether it's in the area of, you know, that I work in, media and communications, whether it's in politics or medicine or just because ultimately, I suppose, it becomes about the distribution of and dissemination of information. Centralised authorities are attempting to grip onto power by controlling information, by controlling and shutting down dissent, by smearing opponents, by defaming, criticising, lying about

people that oppose them. But what they're attempting to resist, I suppose, is the sort of natural flow of how we can communicate now and what is implied by it. That there's the opportunity for people to make choices for themselves. And, you know,

you know, when you sort of don't want to take antibiotics, for example, or when you visit a, they're called general practitioners, GPs in this country or medical professional in your country and you sort of feel like you want to use this information somehow, you have to be incredibly tentative. I have a,

My youngest son was born with Tetralogy of Fallot, which he has some other associated syndromes with that. And the kind of communication we've had with the medical profession has meant we've been introduced to the sort of the best and the worst. We've spoken to incredible surgeons, brilliant people, lovely, kind nurses. But also at points you do change.

notice the tendency to impose dogma, dogma, and that there's a reluctance to engage in inquiry.

And look, the reason we need a civil discourse among experts, among physicians, and not central planners in medicine. Central planners don't work well in governments. They don't work well in medicine either. And the reason we have to have this civil discourse is that the group think can get it wrong. They can lack common sense sometimes. When a Native American Indian tribe called the Pima Indians

had their land destroyed by settlers and ranchers in the New Mexico, Arizona area. And their water supply dried up. Their land was destroyed. So the U.S. government, recognizing this injustice, gave them free food. But it wasn't healthy food. It wasn't organic kale. It was junk food.

Things like spam. And so this high refined carbohydrate processed food made them obese. Obesity, diabetes rates went from 1% to 90%. And what did the National Institutes of Medicine do? National Institutes of Health? What did the medical establishment do?

They dispatched genetic scientists to draw the blood of these Indians to identify if there was a gene that was making them overweight and diabetic.

Well, where's common sense? We've been feeding them junk food for years. And so you see this inability of the medical elite sometimes to see the forest from the trees because they get so caught up. For example, I know a group of doctors that are very smart who have developed a universal flu shot with a traditional flu vaccine platform. So you don't need to get a flu shot every year if this thing ends up panning out in phase three trials.

It's got great animal data, great phase one data, but they're not getting anywhere. No one is advancing this flu shot because one, it's pharma likes an annual shot, in my opinion. But two, they've been told this is not mRNA technology. We only now are investing in mRNA vaccines. Well, common sense would tell you, look at the merits.

of this vaccine. Maybe it is scientifically valid and mRNA may not be the silver bullet that everybody thinks it is because of the group think. Dr. Martin Makary, thank you so much for this conversation. Thanks for everything you did over the pandemic period and obviously the work you've done preceding it. Dr. Martin Makary's book, Blind Spots, is available now in the United States of America and it will be out in the UK next month. There's a link in the description that will take you directly to it.

Buy it, read it, educate yourself because the systems of control are not about to educate you because they want you fat, unwell, diabetic, woozy, distracted and depressed. There's no pathway out according to their doctrines and dogma. But there are good physicians and good thought leaders out there. And thank you, Dr. Marty Makary, for being one of them and for joining us today. Thanks so much, Russell.

Thank you very much. Well, that's another fantastic conversation that we've had. We're better educated than we were an hour ago. We've had a little bit of a laugh, haven't we? Get yourself this book. There's a link in the description for it. And tomorrow we will be back. Before that, though, I want to tell you a little something about locals. We're going to show you what have we been...

up to there these are the sort of things we do over on locals have a look at this this is my stand-up breakdown next week we're doing george carlin that's the right person to do isn't it that's the sort of really the ideal comedian to do um let's have a look though um what who i did last week victoria wood a brilliant british comedian who i knew some she was really brilliant she's deceased now she really captures the relationship between mundanity and erotica she's a joyous and brilliant person it's very very british though let me know what you think in the rumble chat you lunatics this valley

it's jolly bend me over backwards on me hostess trolley people like that line in england bend me over backwards on my hostess trolley victoria would in her other comedic work her sitcoms and stuff very good at the mundanity of british life we're an artifact like an hostess trolley you know a trolley that you'd wheel cakes or cups of tea into your living room from the kitchen in it's kind of icons of mundanity she's really good with that i've heard

stuff she used to do with Julie Waters, Acorn Antiques, very good at rendering British life.

Why it's worth becoming an awakened wonder. We are also doing a live meditation tomorrow for all of you lot in there. Ruby C. Kingler, Alpine Sweet, Boldly Me, Aishella. I will expect to see you in that live meditation. There's probably a poll up on Locals to establish what it will be about. And remember, this Sunday I am going to Washington 1819, guys.

I'm going to this Rescue the Republic event with, you know, look, among others, Dr. Robert Malone, there he is on the outskirts, Gibby Dore, Bobby Kennedy, Tulsi. It's going to be a pretty fantastic event. If you are an awakened wonder, you can email tickets at Russell Brand, Synchronicity 525, and come say hello to me. Come meet me. We'll have to work out a little area. Meet me by...

I don't know, that pond where Martin Luther King done his speech. Meet me by that great big Abraham Lincoln that comes alive in Night at the Museum. Come and meet me. Nerd far away. We're going to do George Carlin next week on our Russell Brand stand-up breakdown. Become an awakened wonder. Tell me what your favourite bits of him are. You know, your favourite Carlin bit. I'm thinking we've got to do that bit where it's like he says, the last thing they want is a population of educated citizens. Everyone's always on about that. I like the bit where it's like, um...

You know, you don't need a conspiracy where interests converge. George Carlin. And what about his early work? If you watch that documentary on HBO about him, he was very pun-oriented, but he became one of the greats, don't you reckon? Let me know. All right, guys, thanks very much for joining us. If you're in Awake and Wonder, we'll be doing a meditation tomorrow, but we will be back for a fantastic live show. So join us then, not for more of the same, but for more of the different. Until then, if you can, stay free.
