President-elect Trump just about done making his cabinet choices three weeks after the election. President-elect Trump made one of the most anticipated announcements, his choice of Scott Besson as Treasury Secretary comes after days of uncertainty and a reported fierce battle for the coveted role. Besson is the founder of hedge fund Key Square Capital Management. Besson had advocated for a three-by-three-by-three approach to the economy, and the idea is to cut the budget deficit to 3% of GDP by 2028.

The defense resting its case in the trial of Marine veteran Daniel Penny. All the evidence is in for the manslaughter trial against 26-year-old Daniel Penny, accused of going way too far and recklessly placing 30-year-old Jordy Neely in a chokehold on a New York subway train for nearly six minutes.
Penny's defense, though, claims the former Marine was protecting his fellow passengers and put on a robust defense case, calling it nine witnesses before resting yesterday. The final witness revealing Neely had an open bench warrant at the time of his death. The jury also heard Friday from a defense pathologist who believes the chokehold alone was not

Despite continued ceasefire negotiations, strikes continue in Beirut and other parts of southern Lebanon in addition to Gaza. Early morning strikes in Beirut. They destroyed an eight-story apartment block, killing more than a dozen and injuring more than 63 people there on the ground. The strike happened around four this morning, local time. The Israeli military did not warn residents to evacuate before the attack, which they have done on previous attacks.
And Israeli media claim it was an attempt to assassinate a senior Hezbollah official. And this comes a day after heavy bombardment of Beirut's southern suburbs in the coastal city of Tyre. This week, U.S. envoy Amos Hochstein traveled to the region in an attempt to broker a ceasefire deal to end this more than 13 months of fighting there. That's Fox's Stephanie Bennett.
Oh, game show host Chuck Woolery has died. No cause of death was given. He was the original host of Wheel of Fortune and later hosted Scrabble and Love Connection. Woolery was 83.
