Trump names a billionaire to run Treasury. I'm Carmen Roberts, Fox News. The president-elect selects one of his most vocal supporters from the finance world to lead the Treasury Department hedge fund manager, Scott Bassett.
This is a major economic position, often running point for administrations because at the Treasury Department, you're not only talking about just general economic policy, you're talking about tax policy. They're on the IRS. You're talking about a whole list of regulatory issues that go through the Treasury Department. So this is a big pick and a big job. We have been hearing a number of different names for a couple of weeks now, and the president-elect we had heard wasn't happy with how some of the discussions were going.

Florida's Surgeon General sides with RFK Jr. in opposing fluoride in drinking water. Dr. Joseph Lopato announced yesterday that he's recommending communities remove it from local supplies. This new guidance comes after Winter Haven City Commissioners voted to stop adding more levels of fluoride to its water supply. LATIPO mentioned studies that point out the possibility of excess
fluoride exposure causing lower IQ levels and mental health issues among children. A recent federal judge's decision also ordered the EPA to consider the risks. Carla Byron with Fox 13 Tampa. A fluoride advocate say it helps prevent cavities. A woman in Portland, Oregon tells the homeless thieves it's okay to steal from some people but not from her. We know what she said because someone videotaped the encounter and posted it online.
She believed the men stole her cell phone and told them that had they stole it from rich scum, they should by all means keep it and sell it. But pleading with them to return it to her because she's not rich. But she didn't call the cops, reasoning that what they did wasn't their fault.
