Up and Vanished

Shownotes Transcript

A brand new season of Up and Vanished starts on February 16th. This is a completely new season I'm hosting on a new unsolved missing persons case that I've spent the last year investigating. In 2020, 33-year-old Florence Okpialuk went missing from the tiny town of Nome, Alaska. In over four years, she's never been found and the police have zero leads whatsoever.

You're about to hear the latest trailer for the new season, but first I want to tell you about how I'm doing things differently this season. Up and Vanish started seven years ago, which is mind-blowing, and words can't express how grateful I am for all of you who've listened, and for everyone who supported our efforts in trying to solve these cases over the years. And now that we're in the fourth season, I want to present this case to you in a way that I've never done before.

I want to bring you even closer inside my investigation and the podcast itself as it's unfolding in real time each week, starting February 16th. So every week this season, on the same day of the latest episode of Up and Vanished, I'm going to sit down in front of the mic and take you behind the scenes of this show and share with you raw, uncut tape, my personal thoughts on where it's going, and the latest up-to-the-minute details on this very active case, a complete and total look behind the curtain.

And I'm going to do this every week on my own weekly podcast I started called Talking To Death, which is already available now on your podcast app. Just go search for Talking To Death in whatever podcast app you're using. This new season of Up and Vanished is an active case, and things are changing very quickly every single day. As the premiere of Season 4 approaches in just two weeks, go subscribe to Talking To Death on your podcast app, where I'll be recapping the latest episode of Up and Vanished every week.

Search "Talking To Death" on your podcast app and check out the latest episode with my good friend Milo Ventimiglia. I break down in more detail this new case for Season 4. I talk about how we found it, what the status of the case is now, what to expect this season. And I also play for you some exclusive clips from the new season that you can only hear on Talking To Death. Please go subscribe to Talking To Death and stay tuned to Talking To Death for in-depth recaps every week as this new season unfolds in real time.

Thank you again for your support, and I'm anxious for you to hear this new season. Here's the newest trailer for Up and Vanish season 4, In the Midnight Sun. It's safer to be in numbers, never alone. That's not safe. It's a dangerous place. The threat of bears, extreme temperatures, and frostbite could ruin you in five minutes. August 31st, 2020, Florence Akbialik is reported missing. I definitely think foul play was involved. Do you have a microphone?

No. There's no license plates. We heard gunshots. Where were the gunshots at? There was a red truck that followed us from the port. The more you look into it, the more red flags there were. It's like when you take down a serial killer, they give you information about all the other unsolved cases that they were involved in. They're aware that this person's covering this up. They don't say anything. We spent so much time looking for her and...

didn't have the help that we needed to find her. Whether it was intentional or an effort to shut her up, she's clearly been murdered. We're just two weeks away from the new season, which starts right here on February 16th. But if you want to hear more right now, go subscribe to my weekly podcast, Talking to Death, on your podcast app. Check out the Milo Ventimiglia episode to hear more details about this season, some exclusive audio clips that you can only hear there, and a segment from the first episode.

Thanks for your support. I'll see you soon.
