Topics

Deep Dive

Key Insights

Why did Donald Trump's victory in 2024 signify a major shift in American politics?

Trump's victory marked a rejection of identity politics and globalist agendas, emphasizing issues like the economy and immigration over social issues like abortion. It also highlighted the decline of legacy media influence and the rise of alternative media platforms.

How did the media's coverage of the 2024 election differ from the actual issues that mattered to voters?

The media focused heavily on abortion and portrayed Trump as a racist, while voters prioritized the economy and immigration. This disconnect led to a loss of trust in legacy media and a shift towards alternative news sources.

Why did young voters shift towards supporting Trump in 2024?

Young voters were concerned about economic stability, including housing affordability and job prospects, which were not addressed by the Democrats. They rejected superficial appeals like celebrity endorsements and student loan promises.

What role did social media play in the 2024 election?

Social media provided a platform for alternative voices and allowed for the spread of information outside the control of legacy media. This democratization of information contributed to the decline of traditional media's gatekeeping power.

How did the Democrats' approach to identity politics backfire in the 2024 election?

Democrats' focus on identity politics, such as promoting Kamala Harris as a symbol of change, failed to resonate with voters who were more concerned about economic and security issues. This approach alienated potential supporters and highlighted the disconnect between the party and the electorate.

Why did the Amish community's support for Trump in Pennsylvania matter?

The Amish community's support indicated a broader shift towards traditional values and against excessive government regulation, particularly on issues like raw milk. This underscored the importance of local autonomy and self-reliance in the election.

What were the implications of Trump winning the popular vote in 2024?

Trump's popular vote victory undermined Democratic arguments about the Electoral College being rigged against them. It also highlighted the widespread support for his policies and the rejection of the Democrats' agenda.

How did the Democrats' handling of Biden's mental decline affect their credibility?

The Democrats' failure to acknowledge Biden's mental decline and their subsequent push for Kamala Harris as the candidate of change damaged their credibility. It showed a lack of transparency and a willingness to prioritize power over the well-being of the nation.

Why did the media's attempts to portray Trump as a threat to democracy fail?

The media's hyperbolic rhetoric about Trump being a threat to democracy did not resonate with voters who saw through the exaggeration. Voters prioritized tangible issues like the economy and security, leading to Trump's victory despite the media's efforts.

What does Trump's resurgence in 2024 signify about the future of the Republican Party?

Trump's resurgence indicates a shift towards a more inclusive and populist Republican Party, attracting diverse voters including non-white communities. It also signals a rejection of neoconservative policies and a focus on American sovereignty and economic stability.

Many people have told me that God spared my life for a reason. And that reason was to save our country and to restore America to greatness. And now we are going to fulfill that mission together. We're going to fulfill that mission. Good morning and welcome to Bongina Report Early Edition. Donald Trump is the 47th president.

of the united states yesterday was incredible i am so grateful to all of you who tuned into the live stream last night we had over half a million live viewers at one point which was absolutely insane and i am so honored and proud to be part of the bonjuno army i texted dan yesterday i said

that I'm just, I'm so beside myself with how happy and grateful I am to be a part of his team, be a part of your team, all of you guys listening. And Trump's right about divine intervention, about what he said in that soundbite, in his victory speech.

I want to show you guys, I mean literally I started to tear up this morning when I saw this video. This is, Trump, Michael just said he did too. This is a crowd erupting in how great thou art as Trump closed his victory speech. Take a listen. What a...

beautiful beautiful moment praising God for the victory last night I I always say it on this show that America is is only great so long as America is good it's what Alexis de Tocqueville said and it's it's so true and for a long time it just it feels it felt like during these last four years America

America was not good, that everything we were descending into real civilizational decline, into moral decay. And to see this victory last night, to hear them singing, how great thou art, was so, so beautiful and so uplifting for so many of us who have felt so disillusioned. The Kamala camp, they closed out this race, right?

literally running pro-masturbation, pro-porn, and pro-abortion ads. And America said no. America chose the founding mores that make us a great people over decadence and civilizational decline. You guys know that there was a time when whatever the media said was reality in this country. Cushy legacy media jobs

were highly influential, they were powerful. If you were Joe Scarborough, that was a serious job in America. That was a real influential role in this country. But today, a live stream rigged up by Guy Justin and my husband, featuring me and Dan and Mike Benz and Julie Kelly, Savannah Hernandez, we don't have cushy corporate media jobs, and Adam,

Suddenly that live stream can command a massive crowd. Suddenly someone like Dan or Jack Posobiec can garner millions of followers and have better name recognition than anyone in the legacy media. And the reason that this has happened is one, the advent of social media, which provided alternative voices with a platform, but two, because no one trusts the legacy media. They have fully lost their gatekeeping powers because they are liars.

What did the media tell us about this election? It's about abortion and it's about Trump being Hitler. Those are the issues the media told America to care about. And it didn't matter. People overwhelmingly said that the economy,

Immigration. These were the biggest issues. They didn't actually many of them turned out to be pro-life. Here in Florida, the people voted against Amendment 4, meaning they voted to protect babies from abortion butchers who wanted to legalize killing kids up until the point of birth. It was a huge victory. Even some voters in two Midwestern states, Nebraska and South Dakota, chose pro-life options as well on their ballots.

And predictably, the media has responded by lashing out at the voters. They never look internally. Here is Joy Reid calling Florida a right wing fascist state. It's a pure Project 2025 in miniature in Florida. And that kind of extreme sort of extremist right wing fascist type government in Florida, does that make it a more attractive place?

Who's gonna tell you that it's actually free in Florida? I would know. I used to live in Chicago. Now I live here. And this is what's so insane about the rhetoric from the media last night and this entire cycle and really actually for of all time. The only way that you can possibly buy what they're selling is if you ignore your own senses.

like i said i lived in chicago during covid mass mandates vax mandates i almost got kicked out of school for not taking the jab and you're gonna tell me that florida is fascist because they don't want abortion up until birth give me a break but they wanted this election to be about abortion they were relying on women to come out for women's health but you know what women are more than just their reproductive organs

We care about every issue, including the border and the economy and global stability. Someone tweeted last night, "Justin, Democrats shocked to learn women buy milk and eggs more often than they get abortions." But fine. You guys want to talk about women? Let's talk about women. Let's talk about how Democrats can't define what a woman is. Let's talk about men invading women's private spaces.

and sports, invading women's prisons and shelters. Let's talk about how the government is directly and indirectly funding the Taliban, which has just outlawed women from speaking to one another. You can no longer even see a woman's eyes in Afghanistan. Here's Joy Reid, again, lashing out at white women for losing North Carolina for Kamala. And I'm going to talk about why this is actually very significant. Take a listen.

Black voters came through for Kamala Harris. White women voters did not. That is what it appears happened in that state, is that if you can't flip enough white women, and we've talked about this on this set numerous times.

is that you have a state where you've got a six-week abortion or a 12-week abortion. I think theirs might be 12 weeks. But it's a state where women lost their reproductive rights, where there was a very heavy push to get women to focus on not putting in place, you know, elect,

putting back into the White House the person who was responsible for taking those rights away and restoring them. But that message obviously was not enough to get enough white women to vote for Vice President Harris, a fellow woman. This will be the second opportunity that white women in this country have to change the way that they interact with the patriarchy. Someone comments, joyless read. It's true. She and she's especially joyless after last night, which I love.

You know, that soundbite was really, I think, fascinating because the left loves their intersectionality, right? But gosh, to be a white liberal woman, can you imagine how hard that is?

Just feels like you can never do right by your own side. But you know, I think Joy's impulse to immediately blame white people, white women specifically, is another reason things didn't go well for Kamala last night. People are rejecting identity politics en masse. It's racist, it's divisive, it's unjust, it's un-American. Case in point.

Democrats ran hard on Trump being a racist toward Hispanics after the Tony Hinchcliffe joke, right? He said that Puerto Rico is garbage. And yet Donald Trump swept Florida, massively Hispanic state, and he swept Osceola County specifically, which is roughly one third Puerto Rican. Overall, for Trump,

Latinos did really well last night. It's way up. He's doing better than I think we've seen since George Bush with Hispanics. Trump beat Kamala by 10 points, it's projected, with Hispanic men. Women are more than their uteruses. Racial groups are more than their skin colors. Intersectionality.

And diversity politics is on the decline. That was a huge takeaway from last night. Something else interesting happened. The Amish came out in droves for Trump, particularly in Pennsylvania, which was a huge deal. A lot of people were comparing them to the Ents in Lord of the Rings. Michael says must have been some traffic jams, right? They don't drive cars. They have their horse and buggies.

You know, Democrats, it really is, I think, comes down to regulation a lot of the time. Democrats hate raw milk. They want to regulate the hell out of it. Don't underestimate how much the Amish love their raw milk. Now, the reports from young people have also been fascinating. We obviously don't have concrete generational breakdowns yet, but I want you guys to listen to NBC's reporting on this.

Savannah Sellers into this. I mean, what are you reading out of the exit polls? Are you seeing any trend lines? I know you've got your brief. You really look at young voters and you've got your finger on the pulse there. What stands out? Absolutely. I'll start with some numbers and then give you some anecdotal information. First, let's talk about first time voters. This is not just young voters, but that's 57 percent of these first time voters are under the age of 30. They are breaking for Trump. That is a major reversal from 2020. Fifty three percent for Trump right now. Forty six percent for Harris.

Back in 2020, 64% went for Biden. I think what we're going to find is that young people couldn't just be sold on coconut memes and the Apple song. They couldn't be bought with student loans. We want a future. We want to be able to afford a home. And if inflation is high, interest rates are high, we can't do that.

Millennials and Gen Z are actually worse off than their parents. And there's this sense among young people that the American dream has been stolen from us. And Kamala just thinks that because Charlie XCX wrote a song for her, that we're all just going to cast our votes for Kamala. It's not true. This lady really meant it when she said she thinks that Gen Z is stupid. Take a listen. And it's a specific phase of life. Remember, age is more than a chronological fact.

What else do we know about this population 18 through 24? They are stupid. That is why we put them in dormitories. Assistant, they make really bad decisions. Michael just said smart enough not to vote for her. Young people aren't dumb. America isn't dumb. We couldn't be won over by a bunch of P-ditty friends. Here's Oprah saying that if Trump wins, it is directly possible that we will never have an opportunity to cast a ballot again.

don't get to sit this one out. If we don't show up tomorrow, it is entirely possible that we will not have the opportunity to ever cast a ballot again. How do you guys think Oprah's feeling tonight? Drop a comment if you think Oprah's doing all right. Yes or no? The derangement from the left, from that kind of rhetoric that the vote is going to go away. Trump is actually Hitler reincarnate. It didn't land.

hope never again does the democratic party subject the american people to dire warnings from celebrities who will be rich no matter who's in office j-lo julia roberts billy eilish cardi b oprah winfrey these people are rich and safe irrespective of who's elected it's the rest of us who are impacted by the open border in a volatile inflationary economy i'm glad uh

All of you instead voted on the side of the great peanut, the squirrel whose tragic murder exposed the Democrats for what they are, which is tyrants who hate the people. But in all seriousness, people who saw the way that, and just Americans in general, saw the way that Trend de Aragua had taken over apartment complexes, formed an entire criminal network that sprawled across the country, and then

They saw that New York City can kill a guy's pet, but not deal with illegal gangs terrorizing their own citizens. It was shocking for a lot of people. Is this what America is? Is this what the Democratic Party represents? And, Pina, it's kind of funny, but...

Really, I think Peanut and Fred played a role in this election. They really did. At the end, maybe they had a motivating factor for people who said, you know what? The priorities are backward. The insanity is at a peak and we need to go back to normalcy in this country. The Democrats are soft on crime. They're pro-open borders. Democrats had us on the brink of World War III with probably the lowest IQ candidate in American history. And all of this while the regime-controlled media was gaslighting people into thinking that

None of that really mattered. Abortion is the only issue on the ballot. And Orange Man is bad. And yet the left-wing media will blame everybody but themselves for what happened yesterday. Here's NBC throwing none other than Joe Biden under the bus.

Well, and that's what makes the timing, I think, of President Biden's decision to step down after the debate something that if she does in fact lose, will be under a microscope. Because of course, there was so much discussion even over the summer about potentially having an open primary and having that fight play out within the Democratic Party. So I think it's one of the big questions moving forward. Michael just said that we're at 20,000, over 20,000 live viewers. It's a record. I'm so glad you guys are here.

But that soundbite was crazy. Are we serious? The reason that Biden dropped out so late is because the media thinks he didn't get out early enough or he wasn't honest with the people. The media wasn't honest with the American people. Maybe the media wasn't even honest with themselves, but they're the ones who covered up his mental decline for ages. They lied to the American people about Biden's health and fitness, just like Kamala lied about it.

And that's why he was able to stay in the race as long as he did. Alternative media, me, Dan, everybody else who has a brain and actually covers the news properly. We were covering Biden's mental, physical decline during the 2020 primaries. But the media denied it for years because they wanted to protect him right up until he dropped out. And now they're going to blame Biden. They have no one to blame but themselves.

And by the way, I totally think that Jill and Joe Biden voted for Trump last night. Here was Jill Biden yesterday in all red. I'm going to take that as a signal. You don't wear all red as a prominent Democrat going to the polls if you're voting for a Democrat. You wear blue. Now, Biden also declined to attend Kamala's watch party. I think he's really bitter about this. And I think he's actually, I don't think he would have beat Trump. I know he wouldn't have beat Trump.

But I think it's kind of vindicating for him. They pushed him out. They said Kamala is going to be in here. She's new. She's fresh. She can do a better job than you. And she didn't. She actually did worse than Biden. And, you know, Biden sucked as a candidate. But at least Democrats picked him in the primaries in 2020. Or at least the Democrats gave the appearance that their base picked him. No one picked Kamala. No one asked for her. And the big problem for Kamala is that no one knows her.

Even now, after this entire campaign, she declined to differentiate herself from Biden, wouldn't say how she's going to do anything different, but then insisted that she's somehow the candidate of change. She wouldn't go on Joe Rogan. She didn't hold a single press conference because she's not smart enough. Here was Kamala yesterday exposing herself for taking a fake phone call. Have you voted already? No.

- Give me a second. - You did, thank you. Thank you so very much. - We're good with that. - It's so important. - How incredibly embarrassing if you're listening, she's pretending to be on a phone call and then she turns over the phone camera so that I think the other person, the posed person on the other line could hear, but she shows just an iPhone app open. There was no phone call. So it was a fake call.

So embarrassing for her. I'm so glad that we were saved from this stupidity. I'm so glad that she is not going to be president. You want to know something else that the media rage baited about that no one actually cared about? The Liz Cheney hoax. That Trump wanted to have Liz Cheney shot when in reality he pointed out that Liz Cheney has never experienced war and yet is always calling for it.

I really think that world peace is an issue that Kamala underestimated here. People don't want conflict. And we're sick of our money going to secure Ukraine's border when ours is wide open. Young men who are drafting age especially want a pro-peace candidate. There's been a total rejection of Liz Cheney and every neocon. There's been an excommunication from the party by Donald Trump of all the neocons. It's one of the best things about Donald Trump.

And I don't want to put a damper on all of our good moods here, but Mike Benz did make a lot of really, really ominous warnings last night. It's great to be excited. It's awesome that Trump had a great night. But the fight isn't over. Democrats don't believe in the Democratic vote. They don't believe in democracy itself. Right now, hashtag do not concede Kamala is trending on Twitter.

We have to remember that progressives don't value norms. They don't value rules. They will destroy anything in the name of progress. I want you to listen to Jen Psaki's monologue before we had any results last night. And finally, let me just end with this. Our democracy is strong and the American people are fierce. But even if Trump is defeated tomorrow,

He has exposed during his time out there some serious limitations within our system. And it may be time to ask ourselves things like whether social media platforms should have the freedom to operate at a lower level of accountability than local television networks in terms of the lies they can spread. Or whether the Electoral College alone is the right way to determine who should lead this country. Or whether, just putting it out there, a convicted felon should be eligible to run for the highest office in the land.

Those are some really important questions at some point we will need to consider, but there's plenty of time for that. Those questions are not for tomorrow. Tomorrow is about answers. It's about finally learning how much protecting our democracy matters, whether morality and character matter, whether our rights to make choices about our own bodies matter enough to enough of the American people. Tomorrow we will start to learn a whole lot more.

really ominous sound bite there. Somebody pointed out in the chat that Trump won the popular vote. And yes, I want to mention that, that it is a huge, huge deal that he is projected to win the popular vote. Looks pretty concrete now. And that means that Democrats can't use the excuse that

The electoral college is rigged and it's all set up against us and so therefore this wasn't a democratic process. That is a great thing, but we can't just expect the Democrats to take this lying down. We can't expect them to not have any tricks up their sleeve. And that was a little snapshot of where Democrats are at right now. They hate freedom of expression. It is a threat to their social control, so they call it a threat to democracy.

They're against the electoral college. That's why Jen Psaki preemptively is condemning social media for calling speech to be regulated. She's talking about getting rid of the electoral college, persecuting political opponents, mass amnesty of illegals. There's nothing fair or democratic about any of this. It's about power. It's about tearing down rules and norms in the name of their own power. And it's scary. You have to understand that progressives, they will do anything.

And they'll do things traditionalists like you and me wouldn't even dream of doing. And that's actually one of the best parts of last night. It's scary to think about as we look to the future and we want to make sure that things stay concrete, that Trump is truly the victor here and there's no shenanigans. But we already know that Democrats don't care about rules and norms because of the way that they've acted this entire cycle.

They tried to throw Trump in prison, bankrupt him, throw him off the ballot. And people said no to the permanent state and the regime-controlled media. We said we aren't going to reward you for your bad behavior. Here is Jonathan Capehart having an absolute meltdown on PBS, shocked that people would vote for a felon. I mean, there's a shift right there.

And then there's a shift to Trump and shifting to Trumpism. And, you know, I'm looking at a lot of things, especially after David talked about looking at counties and, you know, how Trump is gaining on what he did in 2020. And to me, I am mystified in some ways. Good.

Because I don't want the America where the guy in charge persecutes his political opponents based off of nothing. The people aren't dumb. We know you lunatics made Trump a felon. He's not a criminal, but the hacks and the DOJ are. This election really stands as one big middle finger from the American people to the state, the media, globalist entities like the UN and WEF. We are so back.

Turns out the Americans people prefer when our leaders put America first. Imagine that. Kamala's campaign was not a symbol of joy. It represented the blob, which held that half the country amounts to domestic terrorists. And the people are sick of it. Sick of America last, sick of the identity politics.

You don't have the headspace to care about whether it would be cool to elect a black woman as president when you can't afford your groceries. The left tried to dictate what should matter, focusing on issues like abortion and whining about mean tweets. They tried to shape this into the year of the woman, but it actually became the year of the man. Trump's support among men surpassed Harris's among women 22 points to 14.

Men stood up for their families and their future, rejecting economic strains from Bidenomics and wage suppression driven by open borders. They demanded strength and dignity on the global stage instead of continually looking weak and vulnerable to our foreign allies and enemies alike.

And despite being ridiculed, demonized, marginalized by the culture, by the left, men embraced responsibility for themselves, their families, and their country. Trump's resurgence marks a transformation in the party. He has created a coalition inclusive of non-white voters like no Republican in more than four decades. Trump was almost assassinated twice.

censored across major social media platforms, opposed by the Democrats and Republican establishment, condemned even by former allies post January 6th. And yet he returned and he won. And I know this might sound crazy to you guys listening, but I actually think that ultimately Biden's 2020 victory was a good thing. I think it was part of God's plan. And I know the math isn't mathing on 2020. Not sure how Biden got 81 million votes and Kamala got 66.

But a second Trump term in 2020 would have been ineffective with all of the COVID insanity we were dealing with. And we never would have learned about the government directed social media censorship from the Twitter files. We wouldn't have fought to address voter fraud or strategize about banking the vote. Things that will now help the political right for decades to come. If 2020 didn't happen,

Trump couldn't have assembled an Avenger team of Tulsi Gabbard, Vivek Ramaswamy, Tucker Carlson, Elon Musk, RFK Jr. There's a real fighting chance that in a new Trump term, he'll actually be able to dramatically diminish the permanent state thanks to personnel truly committed to the movement. And this really is a global movement that we're part of. The post-Christian West is deciding who we are.

Are we godless and globalists? Or do we have identities and morals and borders and laws and norms and order? Are we represented by leaders who answer to the people or unseen forces? Who are we? That's what we decided last night. And I'm pretty happy with the results. And that's all I got for you guys today.

Oh, over 25,000 live viewers. This is a, thank you, Michael. And he gives me the Dan Bongino, a fire background. Love that. I'm really glad you guys stuck with me today. I hope the show was good. I was up till 3.30 in the morning last night. So was Dan. So you guys want to bear with both of us today. But I'm so glad to be part of this movement. I'm so glad to be joined by you guys. Stay safe, stay frosty. God bless you all. And I'll see you tomorrow.
