Welcome back to another episode of Hot Mess with Alex Earle. We are on a family vacation this week with my boyfriend Braxton, his family, and then my family. We are doing a little Mother's Day getaway. We're in the Florida Keys. This is about like a two and a half, three hour drive south from Miami. We wanted to get our parents together for Mother's Day, wanted to do something special with them because we thought it would be nice...

great to see everybody but honestly i'm a little nervous for this weekend because it's going to be really the first time that i'm actually well i guess i've hung out with braxton's mom before but you know not that long or in depth and like we haven't been on a trip together i've seen her a little bit at braxton's house and then it's

It's going to be the first time that my mom and his mom are meeting. They met briefly before at a football game, but it was kind of like a high-buy situation. So, you know, a little bit nervous for how all of this is going to go this weekend. ♪ I don't want no combo, I want checks ♪ ♪ I don't want the second, I want best ♪ ♪ I'm all in my head, sweet, I'm a wreck ♪ ♪ I've been moving like a hot mess ♪

This episode is brought to you by Liquid IV. It is hot out this summer. It is actually absurdly hot out and you don't have to be an athlete like Braxton to get the sweat going working outside training. I'm sweating walking to the car, walking down the road. People are taking zoom meetings on their porch sweating and you need to replace that sweat with hydration. I personally love Liquid IV. They have three times the electrolytes of the leading sports drink plus eight vitamins and nutrients for everyday wellness. Liquid IV hydrates two times faster than water alone. If

any of you were listening to one of the episodes where I said I had a panic attack this summer, it's because my body was so dehydrated. It was run down, didn't feel good. The boat captain actually had to bring me out a liquid IV to put in my water because I was feeling so nauseous. That just truly shows my love for liquid IV and how much they do. They're so amazing. They have a bunch of flavors to choose from and, you know, take it to the beach with you. Make sure you're staying hydrated this summer. So grab your liquid IV.

And I can't help but think back to last Mother's Day because that was one of the darkest days ever for me. It was my graduation weekend. So last year, we were on like a graduation week bender. I feel like the way graduation week goes is it's like party after party after party after family brunch after party after lunch after meeting these people's family. Like it is just a week of activities and mentally,

Mother's Day happened to be the Sunday after the Saturday, which was the end of this party week. And Sunday, Mother's Day, was a very, very dark day for me. And I remember posting a TikTok walking in like two hours late to Mother's Day brunch. I was literally like green hobbling in here in my dress and sneakers trying to look cute to this brunch. And my whole family was there. My grandparents, my mom, my aunt, my siblings, everyone.

So last Mother's Day was a little dark for me. And that was actually the first time that my parents had met Braxton ever. And at this point, Braxton and I were hanging out for March, April, May, like two weeks

and a half months, two months. And I don't know, like I wasn't really sure when the right time to introduce Braxton to my family was. And I never really get worried about introducing guys to my parents because my parents are like very chill and nice. And I don't know, I think I have a fun family so they don't stress me out. But I was really, really nervous about introducing Braxton to my parents because I really liked Braxton. And

obviously like took him very seriously and I don't know, I was kind of like in denial about that and I was all over the place with my emotions. Like you guys remember episode one of Hot Mess, I literally was like, yeah, so me and Braxton aren't dating, but like we did a red carpet together, but we're not dating. I was just like, I don't know, I couldn't really process my emotions because I had such a big crush on Braxton and I really liked him and I knew that I took him very seriously,

But at the same time, I wasn't like really ready for that. So I don't know. I was just all over the place. And anyway, my parents are in Miami for Mother's Day weekend. Well, actually they were there for graduation weekend. I feel bad. I kind of like took over my mom's Mother's Day last year because it was graduation weekend. So now this year she gets a big Mother's Day celebration. I just remember my family being like, oh, are you going to bring that guy you're talking to to any of the graduation parties? And I was like, well, that seems a little bit like

not the right environment. Like, I don't know if that's the right time to like meet someone's family for the first time. I feel like graduation parties are kind of the opposite vibe. It's like everyone's saying bye. It's not really like too many new hellos.

So I was like, maybe not that, but I was like, you know what? It may be perfect if we're going out this weekend and we just bring Braxton along. Like, I don't, I don't see what's wrong with that. I think that would just be such a natural integration. I'm fun. Braxton's fun. My family's fun. Like what really could go wrong there? If I just felt like that was like the perfect recipe. I don't know if that was the best way to introduce Braxton to my parents, um, because we all ended up going to the strip club together.

And that's where they met. Braxton met my parents at the strip club. And I feel like we should have Braxton on right now so he can also tell you what he was feeling during this time and tell the story of how he met my parents. It was a fun one. It was a dark night for me. And I don't know, I think it was great. So let's have Braxton on. Oh my gosh, he's gonna be so excited to be back on Hot Mess. I'm gonna go grab him right now. ♪

Welcome back to Hot Mess. Thanks for having me back on. It's been a while. The Earl girls have missed you. Oh my gosh. I've missed them. Your palms are a little sweaty. Are they? Are you nervous? A little bit. Really? Yeah. It's not intimidating. I know. It's okay. Yeah. It still is. Breathe. Good. Okay. I was trying to explain, but I feel like we should tell this story together. Last Mother's Day weekend, when I introduced you to my family for the first time, I was

Like I knew that you would get along with them because you're just Braxton and you get along with everyone in my family. I feel like they're pretty good at getting along with everyone, but we took them to 11, which is the strip club in Miami for anyone who's listening and doesn't know, but you probably know by now if you listen to this podcast, because I talk about it probably in every episode. In fairness, it's a club with strippers. It's not a strip club. It's not a strip club that people think like when you go to a strip club and there's just like,

and like tables for that. It's like a club, but with strippers. I don't know. There is a distinct difference. There is a difference. If you've been, you understand. Yeah. If you haven't been, then it makes no sense. If you got it, you got it. If you don't, you don't. So anyways, it's a strip club. And I was like, I think this would just be really good for Braxton to meet my parents because Braxton was like, Braxton's daddy figured it out for us my senior year of college. He just had the connect with this club and,

Don't know why. Weird. Shout out Rob. Well, that was the thing. It's not a great thing to say, oh, well, the guy you're going to meet, like he, you know, he kind of knows a lot of people in there and like he has it figured out. Yeah. Braxton has the connect at the strip club, dad. Don't worry.

is braxton's spot but no really like my senior year of college braxton would like get tables at this club and would take me and all my friends like all my girlfriends and my guy friends and i always thought that was really cool of you that you would let all my friends come on your table just because

It's just, I don't know. We were just young and a mess. And like, I remember the first time we went to 11 with all my college friends. Yeah, were. Were. Were in the past. Grown up. I've grown up. And we, what did we do? We had, oh, Lucy was like knocking over all the bottles on the table. Somebody went to the...

The jail outside. Oh, yeah. Eleven has a jail. So I just was like, so sorry, Braxton. But he always was so nice. And my graduation weekend, of course, me and my friends wanted to end it with a banger. We wanted to go to Eleven. Saturday night, Braxton's like, don't worry, I'll get a table. I'll set it up. And I was like,

okay, is this cool if my parents come to this? Because my parents aren't the type of parents that want to come for graduation weekend and be like, oh, let's go get a little brunch and whatever. My parents are like, let's go to the club and let's get fucked up. In fairness to me, there was a four-day...

of like events for graduation, right? Like Thursday, Friday. And all I asked is that before we go to 11 on Saturday night that I meet your family. I didn't care if it was breakfast, lunch, dinner. I didn't care if it was like a little high and by. I just wanted to meet your family before 11. And I was procrastinating. And that did not happen.

And no, it didn't happen. And I met them at the door. I was like, don't worry. Like my family's not going to judge you. Like it'll be great. And my thinking was like, okay, if Braxton meets my parents at the club, there's only so much talking that can be done. We could only really say hi and how are you doing? And like, what are you having to drink? That's not a good thing for me. That's...

That may be a win for you, but not for me. But it's great for me. I know, but it's not for me. I want to talk to your parents. They don't need to converse too much. I want them to come away liking me or with a positive idea about me. Not just walking in and saying once. So anyways, we are going to this club and we met Braxton outside there. And I feel like my dad said something weird to you. Well...

First of all, y'all got there like two minutes before me, which I did not like. I wanted to be there like waiting on y'all so I could kind of like receive you and that's a little easier. But it's tough when I get out of the car and there's like eight of you and just like it's just me getting out of the car. So I said hey to everybody and then we walk into the elevator because we're going to the rooftop before. And once we get in the elevator, your dad was like,

So is this uncomfortable? So we all start laughing. Didn't he say, he was like, are you scared? Yeah, he goes, does this scare you or something like that? I go, oddly enough, like not really. That's such like a my dad thing to say. My dad is very like,

tough on the outside gives you a hard time at first but then once you get to know him he's just like really nice and the best and my family's very fun but he's definitely the type to like give you a hard time at first or like ask you tough questions he reminds me of ray liotta and i know a lot of people won't understand that who ray liotta you have to he's like he reminds me so much his demeanor like his laugh like you have to whoever's watching this go look up ray liotta okay

Well, anyhow, I don't know who that is, but we met the family. It was like good, whatever. We had some small talk and then we enter the club. And I just remember like within the first like two minutes of being at this club, my family's already like war is going down. So, yeah.

Let me just set the scene. It's me, Braxton, my dad, my mom, my stepmom, my mom's sister, who's from Wisconsin. And granted, like she's from Wisconsin. She hasn't like ventured out too much. I don't know if she's been to the clubs in Miami before. I think she has, but maybe not. She was saying in a while or something. And she was like, Alex, like, what do I wear to go out here? I was like, literally wear whatever you want. Just be comfortable. Like, let's go. Let's have a good night.

And we're, however many of us, walking into the club. My college friends are also coming to meet us. And then my guy college friends are also coming to meet us. We're at the table and they have these ladies who come over and they offer a massage. And literally like not a creepy massage, just like a shoulder massage. And it's actually unbelievable. It's the best massage you will ever get in your life. It's ridiculous. They love it.

really get in there like they are really good at what they do one of your family members found out yeah so we get in there and they're like do you want a massage and my dad's like yeah and my dad we're not two minutes in i mean like there's nothing on the table like no waters it's just a bucket of ice we're all just kind of like figuring out where we're gonna stand talking all this is cool and i tap alex i go look at your dad and he's just already i mean she's elbow deep

Yeah, so I look over and my dad's getting massaged by a stripper. My stepmom's like glancing over and I was like, oh God, I was like, I was like, are we about to get in a family feud right now? Like I was like, everyone's going to start punching each other. But it was actually fine. It was funny, but just like,

Of course, he was so like innocently was just like, yeah, like I'll take a massage. Why not? Why would not? And they charge you. They they don't tell you really. They're like, oh, you want a massage and you think it's free. It's not. And then they're like, you want 10 more minutes. You want five more minutes. And they are like hundred dollars. They really got you one time. Here we go. They really got you. Yeah. No. One time I really get screwed. Really got screwed.

So Braxton and I were talking at this time, but it was kind of like we didn't post each other. We weren't dating yet. It was kind of like secretive. It was only like we were only talking for two months. And all of a sudden they're bringing out the bottles to this table. And I look and I see a huge Dolphins jersey with my head on it being paraded through this club. And I was like, oh, my God. And for the record, I did not set that up.

You didn't? Well, so Rob came to me when we were upstairs beforehand. He like showed me and I was like, because the first time it happened, it was just like you and graduation. And I was like, you can do that. But like, make sure like that was a surprise to me that he showed me that. But I was like, make sure it's like at the very, very end. I was like, let her have her graduation moment. And then like when we're all whatever at 3.30, you can bring it out. And so yeah, when he brought it out.

Yeah, so that's how we hard launched in the club was my head on Braxton's zero dolphins jersey. And my parents were like dying laughing at this. I don't think they've ever seen these cutouts before. It was like the funniest thing ever. We had a good night. We were there for a long time. A good time and a long time. We were having a time of our lives and Alex was ready to leave.

So she keeps on looking at me like, let's go. And I'm like, okay, let's... I was like, we can go. And she was like, but I don't want to leave until my family leaves. And they're not leaving anytime soon. No, I don't think you guys understand. My family was... A blast.

having the time of their life. My aunt from Wisconsin was shaking ass on the top of the table. I've never seen anything like it. She had shoes off, swinging them in the air. Braxton and my dad were like buddy, buddy in the corner right away. I think I have pictures of you guys. You guys just like hit it off right away. I was like, oh God, I don't know what they're saying about me. But everyone was dancing, having the time of their life. And I was like,

I'm tired. Like it's four in the morning. Like, can we get out of here? So I was like, we family Earl family, like we have mother's day in the morning. Like let's wrap it up. It's time to go. My dad, I think this was the first time I saw my dad like smile ever. He was so happy. Grinning ear to ear. And like, my dad doesn't really smile that much. So I was like, Whoa. And,

Whoa. And, you know, the Earl family paraded out of the strip club. And the next morning's Mother's Day. I have a brunch planned. Braxton wasn't invited to that brunch, though. That's not true. You pseudo invited me that morning. And I said, no shot. Not in the state that we were in. And you almost didn't go. I almost did not make it. I barely made it to that brunch. When we woke up the next morning, like, I don't know. And I think it's because we had a week of partying.

Going on before this night like this was like a bender that we were on a graduation night for for you Yeah, and I woke up the next morning and like it was like doomsday You're in a very dark place that that morning. I was at Braxton's apartment at the time and I

I think I had like a blanket. I'm pretty sure he has videos of me like trolling around his apartment with this blanket. And I was like, I cannot make it to Mother's Day brunch. Like I woke up so dizzy, did not feel good. I just knew it was going to be a terrible day.

It was a tough start. But you made it to Mother's Day brunch. I'll be an hour late probably. But you made it. But Braxton drove me back to my house in the morning. And I was hanging on to this car seat for dear life. Like I remember touching the windows. Are we going to have the picture? We have to. We can show the picture.

I mean, you were like, you were like bracing yourself in my car for no reason. We stopped for bagels. I was on a little alleyway getting sick. Like I just remember being in the car bending over. I felt so ill that I was putting my hands on like the glass of the window because it was cold and like it was helping me feel better. But like I really like never felt worse.

Yeah, no. And I know I say that in many episodes here, but this was actually like a very, very, very dark one. So I and I almost wasn't going to go to Mother's Day brunch. No, you were like contemplating. You're like, well, how long do you think you guys are going to be there? Yeah.

And but of course, it's Mother's Day brunch and I don't want to miss out. And it's like not even like my mom is just there. It's also my stepmom, my aunt, both. That's my grandparents, my little siblings. So it was like my whole family flew here from Wisconsin. Like I have to get up and I have to go. So I got ready. I didn't put on any makeup. I think I still had on my makeup from the night before and I put sunglasses on and I walked into brunch and.

And I posted this video on TikTok. Everybody give you a round of applause. My family's cheering when I walk into brunch because I made it. I was a little late, but I made it. You made it. So it counts. And yeah, so this Mother's Day is a lot better. We're off to a much better start. Yoga this morning. Yoga this morning. Gym. I mean, feeling great. Yeah, you look good. Like complete opposite of last year's Mother's Day. And now we have both of our moms here together, which is really fun. It's sweet.

It's really cool. This is the first time that our parents have met each other. Well, they met for like five minutes. Or I guess you're right. Yeah. But they haven't really hung out. They've never hung out before. And Braxton's mom is the sweetest, like literally just like an angel. She's a Southern belle. She's like the definition, like blonde hair, blue eyed, like yes ma'am, no ma'am, like a Southern hospitality. Like she's just the definition of Southern belle. Yeah. So she's going to fit right in with my family. Yeah.

And we're doing a little sunset cruise for Mother's Day. But yeah, Braxton loves to make me feel guilty for introducing my parents to him at the strip club. But to be fair, I met Braxton's dad at the club as well. Yours was a choice. That's the thing. Mine wasn't a choice. It was Final Four. We all went down.

And we briefly met at that bar before the game. And then, yes, after the game, we all went out together. But it was in Houston and it wasn't a strip club.

I also met Braxton's dad at a strip club, okay? Braxton is trying to make this seem better than it is. I was talking to Braxton and we're in Houston and he's like, want to come out with us? I meet his dad at a bar and then we went out to the club and there were strippers there. So I don't think it's much different than how I introduced... There were no strippers at that club. I don't think it's much different than how I introduced...

you to my family but it all worked out yeah but i remember being so anxious when i met braxton's dad for the first time because that was that was literally the first time i met anyone in your family and that was the end of march we've been talking for like two weeks and i met your dad and i wasn't really sure if you had told your dad like oh this is like a girl that i like or this is just like a girl so i don't know if i was just one of like braxton's girls or something so that's that's cut

I didn't. That is out of there. Well, I didn't know what I qualified as at this time because we had just literally started hanging out. But I was like, I want to make a good impression because I probably want to date Braxton and I want his family to think I'm a great person. So when we're at this...

I was trying to like hide. I don't know if I ever told you this part really, but anywhere your dad was on this table, I tried to stand in like a direction that he couldn't like see me because I was just like, I don't want to be like chugging a drink in front of your dad and like,

I don't know. But I prefaced you that my dad, like I am. Yeah. And also like I am kind of who my dad is. But I know what that's what I said about my family. And you're like, well, I still don't want to meet them at the club. Yeah. No, you're right. So yes. Okay. Yeah. Anyways, I. So how'd it go?

I thought it went fine until I tried to do too much because I had a little bit of liquid courage at this point. And me, Braxton, and Braxton's dad were Ubering home together back to the hotel. And I was like, okay, this is my time. You know, I'm feeling comfortable now. I got this. Before, I was too scared to talk. Now, I've had some liquid courage. I'm going to be wifey. And I'm going to, like, show Braxton's dad that, like, I can be a great girlfriend. And I was like... I can handle it. Yeah, yeah. So, it's like...

Okay, guys, like who wants McDonald's? Like I'm going to order us some food. So I whip out my phone. I'm like, what does everyone want from McDonald's? And then I did too much because I could have just like left it at that. Like, what does everyone want? Now I'm yapping. I'm talking. She's really trying to command the situation, which I can appreciate. Yap City over here. I'm like, guys, like what's that cheeseburger? I just had it last week. It is so good. What's that cheeseburger called? It has...

It has cheese and... It has cheese on it. It has the bacon on it. I'm like, what is it? It has bacon. It was fantabulous. And Braxton's dad's like, the fucking bacon cheeseburger. And we lose it. Everybody, she's mortified, but she can't stop laughing. Me and my dad are hitting each other. I was trying to be so smart. Like, I don't know what this one was so good last week, guys. And he's like, the bacon cheeseburger is dumb, bitch. Dumb.

It was the funniest thing. So, yeah, Braxton Zab put me in my place real quick there. And I was like, I feel like we're getting along. Yeah. That's how I knew, you know. Exactly. We trust each other. We love each other. It was all great. Yeah, it went well. It went really well. But we still laugh about that to this day, like me and my dad. And then. Oh. Wait, I just remembered this. Yes. Yes. O-M. How are you going to tell this one?

Maybe we shouldn't tell that story. Maybe we should. We are back at the hotel. We're hanging out in the room and we didn't get the McDonald's yet. We were waiting for it to be delivered. So we're just sitting there waiting on it to be delivered. And all of a sudden we hear like someone knocking on the door for the McDonald's. And I was like, yeah, like one second, I'll be there. But we didn't say that. But we were just like, we'll leave it. It's fine. We know what it is. It's McDonald's. We'll get it in a minute.

And... All of a sudden... All of a sudden, we kind of hear... You know how the hotel door opens and then it closed so you hear the click? So we kind of hear a little click. So we stop and we look at each other. And then we hear some feet shuffling around and a McDonald's bag crunching in our room. And...

then what happens do we just I just freeze right someone who was delivering the McDonald's just had walked into our room and was like standing there they got curious

And yeah, that was weird. Yeah. And so they just completely entered the room. So we got our McDonald's hand delivered. You know what? It's because I ordered it and I was so wifey. I put in extra delivery. Bring it right to my lap. You gave a note. Don't even knock. Just come in. Don't knock. Just come right in. So yeah, that was... We got walked in on with the McDonald's. Yeah. But it was good. Yeah. It was good McDonald's. It was. We fucked it up. Woo. So...

Yeah, that's how we initially met each other's families. Very Alex and Braxton style. And now we go on vacations. Now we're on vacation together with our moms. Yeah. Treating them to a little trip-a-do in the Keys. And Ashton's also here. Yeah. So I think we're going to have Ashton on after Braxton. We're going to catch up with Ashton. She just finished her junior year of college. Crazy. So proud of her. Finished her finals. Yeah.

She was crying about them. And yeah, so I think we're gonna go lay out at the beach.

Do some Mother's Day activity. Maybe we'll play some volleyball. And then we're going to have Ashton on. And then the original Big Al, Big Alyssa is coming on. And we're going to play a little Mother's Day game with her. She loves to say that she's the original hot mess. You know that, right? No. Oh, yeah. Oh, does she? Yeah, she told me that last night. She told me that before, but she told me that last night. Is she saying this behind my back? Yeah, she is. When we were, me, I guess it was me, Todd, and your mom. And we're just sitting there and she was like...

She was like, yeah, well, you know, I'm the original hot mess. Like she's bragged about that before. That's her thing. Maybe we should ask her about it. Maybe we should make her a shirt that says I'm the original hot mess. The OG hot mess. Yes. She would love that. She would love that. Just Mama Alyssa Merge. She's saying that around your back. I'm going to have to confront her about this when she gets on here. Oh, actually, I'm sure she'll love to talk about it. Yes, she will. So we'll have her on. We're going to go tan out in the sun for a little bit and then we'll be back with...

Ashton and then Big Alyssa. Thanks Braxton for joining us. Missed you guys. Maybe Braxton will just take over from now on. Maybe just a tiny segment every other week. Co-host Braxton. Like a what would what would Braxton do? Male advice from a man. Yeah a lot of people want to get advice from you on how like I think you need to teach the male species on how to just not be dickheads.

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, there are a lot of dickheads. It's tough. Well, you don't even know.

yeah no you're right i don't know well there's it's funny because there's things all the time where i'm like i i just i cannot imagine and you're like yeah like that's what we deal with and i'm not saying i'm perfect women have to deal with a lot so there's a lot there's like braxton's boot camp there's braxton's boyfriend boot camp bbb so maybe we'll have him back on for braxton's boyfriend's boot camp it's just little things just little things yeah that's it okay well all right guys thanks love you

Look who's back! Everyone's favorite sister! Hi Ashton. Hey Alex, what's up? How are you feeling? I'm feeling good. It's finally summer. Wait! Ashton just finished her junior year of college. Whoop whoop!

I can't believe you're gonna be a senior now. Oh my god. I know i'm so old. Are you scared? No, i'm i'm like kind of ready. Really? Yeah, is that bad? I don't want to wish it away But I feel ready like i'm ready to be a senior at least but then senior year goes really fast I know that's what i've heard Well, do you know what you're like? What are you doing? What's your plan? What's your major? Let us know

Okay, well, I'm majoring in psychology, but that is my least favorite question to be asked. Don't ask me what I'm doing with my life, because I don't know. That was my biggest pet peeve going from junior year to senior year, because everyone's just like, what are you doing? What's your job plan? It's so scary. Do any of your friends know what they're doing yet? Or like want to do? Like not really. I don't think anyone has like a set career path that they're

embarking on that's fine I feel like I had no idea going into my senior year either and then honestly somehow my senior year I don't know then you became famous and everything worked out for you I don't know what happened and um then somehow I got a job doing this um but that was like not in the plans for me at all and then even my friends who graduated they like all have

they still are changing their jobs. Like some of my friends have had jobs and they're changing them. Some are just getting jobs.

I feel like it's a, you just got to figure it out. Yeah. I mean, most of my friends that are graduating right now still don't have a job lined up. So yeah, you're fine. I'm fine. I just get so stressed when people ask me, like when dad asks me, I don't know why. I know. Every family dinner that we've had recently, it's literally just torturing Ashton. It's like, what are you doing? Where are you going? What are you doing? What are your plans? Give us your five-year plan, 10-year plan. And my dad's very like,

it's like have it figured out and i genuinely just don't know but i don't want to like upset anyone in the family i want to like say the right answer so i just freak out and then it's never fun but we'll figure it out we're playing it by ear yeah we're going with the flow you're going with the flow yeah i'm a psych major though

I can read your mind. I still think you should really go the pre-med route and do the cosmetic dermatologist. I mean, I'm still like, that's what I'm all of our Botox and lip fillers for the rest of our life. That is what I'm going to school for. So we'll just see if I end up in grad school or not. Where would you go to grad school? I don't know. That's another thing. Like, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know what city I want to live in. I think you want to live with me.

Ashton's been stalking me recently. It's getting a little scary. Are we not best friends? No, no, we are. Everywhere, Ashton. So we're in Key West this weekend. And then Ashton's coming back to Miami with me. And then I'm going to New Jersey for Memorial Day weekend. And Ashton's coming with me. And then I'm coming back to Miami. And Ashton's coming with me. And Ashton's like, whatever you're doing, I'm just going to come and follow. I'm very flattered. I don't know.

I don't know. I've grown to really like you these days. Like I like call you all the time. Like I like talking to you. I'm so happy that this is recording right now. I know. I'm gonna hate that I said this on camera. Oh my god. Did we just get that? You love me? For now. Okay. I'll take it. I'll be sick of you by the end of the month. No, you won't. No.

We're besties now. Love you. Love you. But back to where we started. Did you have a good junior year at Tulane? I mean, I loved my junior year. I was abroad the first semester, which we all know was great.

And then, yeah, this spring semester was so much fun. I feel like you never really talk about school on here. Or like, what is New Orleans like? Like, what's the going out scene in New Orleans? Like, are you on Bourbon Street every night? Well, sometimes. It's very different, I feel like, than most cities because there's no like clubs to go out to. Obviously, we have Bourbon Street, which is a bunch of bars and

And there's like some small bars near campus. We have a lot of events. So we're always like taking party buses either to Bourbon Street or just another venue for like date parties or mixers or just... I don't know. We always have events. But we do go to Bourbon frequently, which is fun. It's kind of like...

trashy fun because like we'll get dressed up in like heels and like dresses for formals and be on bourbon street riding the bull at boot scootin so you're boot scootin boot and scootin is your formals just like like what are your formal date parties like um well my formal this year was at a beer garden it was interesting yeah do you ever go far like our formals we would kind of venture out of miami no i

There's only like the off campus or like unaffiliated, like frats can like go away for formal for some reason. I don't know. It's something with our school. So everyone usually stays local.

Or they'll try to do something fun. They do this thing called like float. I don't even know what it is. You like go on a boat or something with your dates and like spend the whole day like paddle boarding. I don't know. I've never been to that. Okay, float. I've never been invited to that. I don't really know. But like what are like the date parties that you do get invited to? Not many. I'm the worst. Are you a good date? No. At a date party? I have had a little bit of a track record of

getting a little bit too drunk on date party like what do you mean well the tea i was going to this date party it was literally on a wednesday night and um it was literally at this it was a taco place oh but they made it like going out vibes i don't know i feel like the frats will do that like they'll rent out random places like the

The places that we used to go out in college for frat venues were like random restaurants that I would never go to in Miami. Or like bars that you wouldn't go to, but you'd run it out for the whole night. Yeah. So that's kind of what that was. And so I was going to this date party. So fun. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I've gone to a few date parties with this guy before. So like we're chill. Like I wasn't nervous. You guys were like date party. He was like, you just knew. Yeah. Like date party partners. Yeah. We always have fun together.

So I don't know, I got ready really quickly. I didn't have time to eat 'cause I had a lot of work to do. First mistake, yeah.

First mistake we went to this pregame and then we go to the venue and I was wearing these really high heels, which I think is part of the problem. I was wearing these really high heels just because they're the only thing that matched the dress I was wearing. So so I had to wear them. And actually my date said to me, he was like, are you sure you want to wear those? And I was like, yeah, no, I'm really good at walking in heels. Like, don't worry about me because they were like looked uncomfortable. Yeah. He was like, those are like really high. And I was like, oh, no, it's fine.

So we get to the venue and, you know, we're just getting drinks at the bar. Oh, my God. I actually forgot about this. But we were standing at the bar. This like has nothing to know. I was going to say I wasn't even blacked out yet, but I probably was. I do that, too. I'm like, I'm not even drunk. And then I'm like on the floor. Yeah. Yeah. So I was standing at the bar talking to my friends and I go to like lean against this wall next to the bar.

I go to lean against this wall, but it's not a wall. It's a hanging divider. What? And I fall through on the floor, wipe out so bad. Wait, this is when you got your first drink? This was like a few drinks in. Like the night is young. We just got to the venue and I'm on my butt. Can I say, I can't say ask, can I?

You can. I'm on my ass. I'm kidding. So anyway, I'm on the floor. Ashton. Date helps me up. He's like, you're fine. No one saw. But was this because of the heels or the drinks? A little bit of both. But it's still early. And so I was criminally embarrassed. Like all these girls were like looking at me like, you know, like. Oh, giving you the side eye. Like, who's that girl that just fell? You don't want to be the girl on the floor. No, this is not a good night for me.

And then whatever, the night goes on. We're having fun. We're drinking. All my friends are there because we're all like kind of like with guys in this frat. So it was really fun. And then all of a sudden it's time to leave. We had been sitting for a while and I stand up and I'm like, oh my God, it's like,

I can't walk. And I think like Rowie and my date had to like both like, I had like one arm around each of them. Drag you out. Walking out the door. By the way, you're not easy to drag. I'm a big girl. Ashley.

She's like a sack of potatoes. Dead weight. There's something about Ashton that like, if you- Oh, I will dead weight you. Anything with Carrie and Ashton ever, like she just doesn't do anything to help. Like she doesn't like lift herself on you at all. She just kind of like sits there and like lets herself be dead weight. Yeah. So that's kind of what happened. They had to like help me walk out because I don't know why I didn't just think to take my shoes off.

But there was no thoughts going on up there. So they helped me get into the Uber. I fell asleep in the Uber on the way home and we pull up to our house. And I don't know, like I was just like, I don't really remember much. Yeah. My date ended up having to carry me inside, like into my house, like a baby. Like, oh, I just remember just like laying there. And like, I felt myself like being dead weight in his arms, but I like couldn't like

alive myself enough to like help and my house is not an easy house to be carried into just to get us have like multiple stairs yeah well you have to walk upstairs to get to the front door and then just to get to the living room you have to go up a whole flight of stairs and then to get to my room you have to go up a whole another flight of stairs so i'm on like the third floor he carried me up all the stairs oh that's sweet and it was really nice he was a really nice boy

But yeah, I was really, really embarrassed. And I was bringing him to my date party the next night so that I had to see him right after. And he was like, how are you? And I was like, oh, my gosh. Wait, I just kind of like dissociated for a second because I was looking at you. And like, you know, when you see someone and you're like, that's like my sister. Like, I've just been looking at you and I just like forgot what you looked like. I don't know. Do I look good? Yeah.

Yeah, no, you look great, but my mind drifted and I just like can't believe you look so like old and mature right now. Yeah, I don't know. Ever since I turned 21, I've been feeling like a whole new woman.

You do look older and beautiful and womanly. I am a woman. And loving you. Loving you. And you know who we're here for today is mom. Our lovely mother. For Mother's Day. Our Mother's Day trip. I think we should get mom in here to podcast with us. A little Mother's Day special. A Mother's Day treat.

A little Mother's Day treat. I think we should play the game. Well, I'm saying I think we should. I already wrote out these questions that we should ask her. But I think we should play a little game with her. Mom? Come on. You're being summoned. Come on.

Wait, Braxton told me before that you were calling yourself the original hot mess. Oh, I am. Have you been going around saying that? I am. You are. You created me. Yeah. You came first. I had a volleyball team called Hot Mess Express. Yeah.

Oh lordy, here we go. Well, happy Mother's Day, Mom. Thank you. Happy Mother's Day. Thank you for your beautiful cards, you guys were the nicest cards ever. Yes. We're so nice. We're the best. We love you. We love you. Thanks for crashing my vacation. Okay.

yeah my mom booked this vacation and then I was like you know what I think we should all come down for a mother's day with her yes it's been really nice but we wanted to see you yes it was a wonderful surprise um so we have a little game that we're gonna play with you oh boy so it's gonna be like which sister is more likely to so you just have to answer okay I'm scared am I supposed to be honest

yes okay and give good reasons okay ready which sister is more likely to call from jail that they've been arrested alex what okay ashton well i could see ashton just like wander into something that's what i'm saying what what do you think alex would get arrested for public nudity that's so true and what would ashton get arrested for

I feel like exactly what you said. Something like accidental. Accidentally wandering into some drug den. Wait, I remember in high school

And when we were at a party and the cops came and that was a time when like everyone would just like storm through these people's bushes in the backyard because the cops were there. Asher would be stuck in the bush. I miss hiding in the bushes. I was hiding and the cop car is coming around the street and I like see it through the little branches and I hear the police over the thing go,

Alex Earl, Alex Earl, your sister Ashton is in the back of the car when the police lights are going on. And I literally walked back out there and I was like, oh my gosh, I guess I have to come out of hiding now. Ashton's in the back of the cop car. Well, I wasn't alone. And she's like, it's fine. Like the cop said that he's going to give us a ride home. I was like, Ashton, we were like...

It was very convenient because it was New Year's Eve and no one could get an Uber and I got us a free ride home. In the back of the cop car. Because you were too slow to run. But she had no care in the world. I was like, Ashton, are you secretly getting us all arrested right now? No, never. Did you get arrested or you just got picked up? No, I think he took us home. Which sister is more likely to lose the kids while babysitting? Ashton. I was trying not to laugh. I was like, I know she's going to say.

I feel like I'm definitely... She might fall asleep. Yeah, I'm the better babysitter. For sure. I'm a good babysitter. Just sometimes, I'm not. You're just kind of... What's the word? Lazy. Lazy. I'm trying to say blasé, but that's not the word I'm trying to... Blasé, blasé, blasé. Not blasé, but... Blasé, blasé.

what's the word nonchalant i don't know yeah but not that word too chill yes definitely too chill i also feel like ashton like loses herself the kids will say i'm going so i'm going to take a walk it'll be like okay every time we were in a department store i feel like ashton went missing oh that's so true oh she almost i almost lost her one day she literally like wandered around the corner she's like let me out of the cart let me out of the car and i

I would just like get stuck on something and I'd be like, Ooh, what's that? And she literally walked around the corner and I went to follow her and she was gone. I was like, what happened to her? I like closed down the entire store. I remember we had to go to the front and they were like, you weren't there. I told you. Yes, I was. Well, then I was time another time there. I feel like this probably happened a few times.

Definitely at the grocery store, too. I would find all my fun snacks. So Ashton's the worst babysitter. Good to know. Okay. Which sister is more likely to be brutally honest with you if you're wearing an ugly outfit? Well, both of you, I think. Alex, definitely Ashton, too. She might fib for a minute. I feel like that's a good quality I have.

is being brutally honest but some people don't like it and i think it's because i'm a sagittarius that like i say things just very blunt and then people don't like it but i wish i could be more me too i appreciate that and you thank you like that's what my friends always text me and ask if their outfit's ugly because i'll always tell them my truth my true opinion

yeah they know that i'll tell them that it's ugly and you need a friend like that yeah sometimes if it's like i'll just be like yeah it's cute and it's not i need to work on that well sometimes i feel mean like if someone's already like out of the house i'm not gonna be like yeah you look bad well that's different if they're out of the house unless they're in their closet changing and then well yeah like then i'll be like maybe try something else

Which sister is more likely to, oh, this one's dark, get divorced? Oh, goodness gracious. Hold the microphone. You haven't even gotten married yet. Well, okay. Well, which sister do you think would, like, get married first? Both of you. I don't know. You're probably going to have weddings at the same time. I don't know. Double wedding. Why can't I go first? Yeah. All right, you go first. No. Mom. It's the wedding. No.

No one's getting divorced. Okay, fine. I like that. I like that. No one's getting divorced. Just you. Okay. We learn from our mistakes. Yeah. Which sister is more likely to accidentally start a fire while cooking? Alex. Ashton? I did light a wooden spoon on fire the other day. Oh, yeah. Because I was trying to make pasta. What? Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah, I burnt, like, there's, like, a whole, like, crescent shape in my wooden spoon at school. I'm a big chef these days. Ashton did tell me that she puts spoons and forks in the bowl and puts them in the microwave. I'm like, you're going to start the whole house on fire. Okay, so Ashton's the clear answer here. Okay. So I don't know why it's... This is not, like, shedding a good light on me right now. Well, you're just, like, haphazard and throw everything... The truth always comes out. Which sister is more likely to surprise you with a visit when you need it most?

well i'd say both of you both of us because we're both here for you right now we love you so much love you yes which sister is more likely to go missing for three days and come back like nothing was ever wrong ashton so where would ashton be under a tree somewhere reading a book under a tree reading a book so philosophical where would i be if i went missing for three days

las vegas that's so weird i was gonna say vegas too that's a good one oh my gosh which leads perfectly into our next question which sister is more likely to have a shotgun wedding in vegas you alex really i guess yeah i think he would do it ashton would think about it too much

You would do it, but then you would have another big wedding afterwards. Yeah, I would need to have a real one after. You might do it too. I do some impulsive things sometimes, though. You do. But I guess it would be me. Yeah. The Aries. Which sister is more likely to get a BBL? Alex. That's the treatment? The Brazilian buttlet. It's a Brazilian buttlet. What did you think it was? I thought it was...

broadband light treatment it's like it's like no it's a laser treatment for your face like it's oh it well it helps with like if it's a brazilian butt lift do you think it would still be me oh god i hope neither of you would ever get one of those well who's more likely to get more plastic surgery in their life alex or austin alex alex um which sister is more likely to get a pixie cut

I feel like Ashton's entering like her pixie cut era. Please don't get a pixie cut. Don't make me get a pixie cut. I don't want that. I feel like that's so something you would like randomly do and then come back and be like, look, I got my hair cut. A pixie cut? Don't cut your beautiful hair. You would look really good somehow. No, like me.

maybe a bob but I could never pull it off but never a pixie cut well I'm thinking I was thinking pixie was like a a bob a bob but what is what is pixie didn't you do some like weird toilet bowl haircut when you were younger

Yeah, you had like a... I had a horrible haircut when I was in eighth grade. I tried to do like... I wanted my hair to stick up spiky and the woman convinced me I needed a perm, which I already have curly hair. So I had like an Annie curl. Annie curls, it was horrible. Like an afro? And then I think I tried to dye it blonde and I dyed orange. So I was really ugly. That sounds really cute. Well, you look beautiful now. Thanks. And then when I was growing it out, it...

was like a fan like I sprayed it straight up it was the 90s I think no it was the 80s sounds like 80s which sister is more likely to be a bridezilla oh Alex I think definitely me yeah I'm really scared to be your maid of honor I'm scared to be mother I feel like I get bridezilla energy about anything that I do so I can't even imagine getting married yeah can you like I'm like I

I already, like, am worried about this. You just have to show up. Like, we'll help you plan it. We'll console you. No, that's the thing. I feel like it's not even about the planning. It's just everything. I feel like, yeah, I'm just going to be hushed on. I'm really terrified. I think about this a lot, actually. It's kind of my Roman Empire. I think about your wedding and how I'm really scared. I'll be nice. You promise? I'll try. Which sister is more likely... Wait. Wait.

I could do that 50-50 either. You guys could probably do that. I'm not that stupid, though. I'm not stupid. But in a foreign country, just get on a plane and... Look at this foreign DJ man. I'm going to go fly away with him today. Why does it have to be

It's always a DJ. It's always a DJ. It's always a DJ. Stupid DJ. Which sister is more likely to give their firstborn an insane baby name? Like a weird name that's like Tree Hut. Tree Hut? You just look outside. Tree Hut. Tree Hut. Okay, I guess Ashton.

but i don't think it would be tree hut it would no i definitely wanted to get my kids weird names okay well i love you mom i love you too thanks for coming on thanks for having me love you mommy love you too i feel like we should go to the bar and get some drinks i think so absolutely definitely okay because i'm having a hot flash right now mama needs her baba okay let's go

I don't want no combo, I want checks. I don't want the second, I want best. I'm all in my head straight, I'm a wreck. I've been moving like a hot mess. Listen up, you naughty little pelicans.
