So that was Pam Bondi. That's who Donald Trump has now nominated as his Attorney General pick after Matt Gaetz withdrew his name from consideration in connection with a child sex trafficking investigation. There you saw Bondi speaking on Donald Trump's behalf at the first impeachment inquiry into Donald Trump. It was really, really bad.

And they basically sidelined her after what you just observed right there. Some more information about Bondi that's worth noting. You know, she's someone out there who's one of Donald Trump's top surrogates general on the media. And she's out there calling for people like Hillary Clinton to be locked up here. Like, watch this. Lock her up. I love that. Stay with me.

Also, as Kyle Chenney points out from Politico, when Donald Trump was on the brink of defeat in 2020, Pam Bondi literally jumped in her car with Rudy Giuliani to Pennsylvania to help plant the first seeds of doubt, to lie about the results of the 2020 election. It was described by Politico as a manic road trip.

It's unbelievable. I'll ignore that. You may have heard this as well, but back in 2013, when Bondi was the attorney general of Florida, she was given $25,000 from the Trump Organization and Trump University. And after receiving that $25,000 donation, she was given $25,000.

She withdrew the criminal investigation into the Trump Organization back then and became a close ally to Donald Trump. As Matt McDermott says, there is evidence to suggest that when Pam Bondi was Attorney General of Florida, she was bribed by Donald Trump to avoid an investigation into fraud at Trump University. New York Times did a story how new records shed light on this money that Trump gave to Bondi and then the investigation stopped.

Getting out within 24 hours, the majority of them. So what we want to do is let law enforcement come in and take the guns. They're a danger to themselves. Which you can't do right now. Well, because without being adjudicated. So because they're a danger to them. You want them to take the guns and not go through six months of legal process.

So what we're doing is they're going to be able to take the guns when they're taken into custody or into the hospital, and then when they're released, within 24 hours or 72 hours later, typically it's 24 hours, but law enforcement will have 72 hours to determine whether they should give those guns back

or they can go to a judge and say, your honor, please keep these guns. We feel this person is still a danger to himself or others. So this would not have worked the way it's currently constituted. This would not have worked with Cruz as it's currently constituted. As it's currently written. So you're going to make changes? We're going to make changes. And one other thing we're doing about the reporting, President, which is huge.

Pam Bondi was one of the election deniers out there very early on in Pennsylvania, making claims of fake ballots. So if she is going to be the attorney general, what does that mean in terms of how Donald Trump and the Justice Department treat all of those people convicted of assaulting police officers on January 6th? Is she going to continue as attorney general pushing out the big lie? These are questions that she's going to have to answer during her confirmation hearings tomorrow.
