Donald Trump dropped a new policy proposal during his massive Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday, a tax credit for Americans who serve as caregivers for family members. After speeches from several high-profile figures, including RFK Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, and of course his running mate, J.D. Vance, Trump took to the stage. During his remarks, he announced that it was about time to recognize and support those who work to care for ailing family members.

During his remarks at Trump's New York rally, ex-owner Elon Musk said he believes he can cut "brillions of dollars" in wasteful government spending.

Trump says he'll put Musk in charge of a new government efficiency commission that will look for ways to cut spending. And Musk made clear Sunday that he thinks he'll be able to save taxpayers a lot of money. How much do you think we can rip out of this wasted $6.5 trillion Harris-Biden budget? Well, I think we can do at least $2 trillion. I mean, I think...

At the end of the day, all government spending is taxation. So whether it's direct taxation or all government spending, it either becomes inflation or it's direct taxation. Your money is being wasted and the Department of Government Efficiency is going to fix that. We're going to get the government off your back and out of your pocketbook.

In other Musk-related news, Philadelphia's George Soros-backed district attorney is suing the billionaire and his super PAC over their $1 million registered voter giveaway. DA Larry Krasner claims they are operating an illegal lottery across Pennsylvania after Musk launched a daily $1 million prize aimed at registered voters who sign his petition. Here's Musk awarding the eighth prize in Lancaster. Judy Kamara. Thank you.

Judy has no idea, by the way. It's just loading now. Participants must be registered voters, though Musk emphasizes they're not required to cast a ballot. The Department of Justice has already warned Musk that his voter sweepstakes could violate federal law, although many experts say he's legally in the clear. This episode is brought to you by Shopify. In a major shift for The Washington Post, owner Jeff Bezos is reportedly pushing for more conservative perspectives in the paper's opinion section. Daily Wire reporter Marietta Lordy has more.

According to the New York Times, Bezos wants to attract a broader readership, including right-leaning voices, while staying silent on the Post's decision not to endorse a 2024 presidential candidate, breaking a 36-year tradition. Meanwhile, CEO Will Lewis defended the choice, calling it a return to faith in readers' ability to decide for themselves.

The decision sparked backlash from the left with resignations and subscription cancellations from readers upset over the post's direction. Bezos has not publicly addressed these developments.

And NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte confirmed today that North Korean troops have joined Russian forces in Ukraine. Rutte called it a dangerous escalation and a sign of Putin's desperation as casualties mount. The move, he warns, poses a threat to both Euro-Atlantic and Indo-Pacific security. While NATO and allies are consulting on next steps, Russia and North Korea deny the reports, calling it fake news.
