Joining us now is Jeffrey A. Tucker from the Brownstone Institute. Jeffrey and I used to run into each other at libertarian conferences about a decade ago, and I've always thought he is wicked smart, very wise, and really understand what's going on. Jeffrey, great to see you again. Jeffrey, you have a very important tweet that is an important prompt to

for something that might be occurring. You say, quote, is nuclear war really part of the plan to foil an incoming Trump administration? I would not rule it out. In January, February 2020, the deep state did the unthinkable and abolished the Bill of Rights and established martial law under the guise of virus control. Anything is possible. Jeffrey, please explain.

Well, I'm very concerned about the next two months, and we're seeing some very terrible trends. The idea of authorizing war against Russia without congressional mandate, the forgiving of $4.7 billion in debt owed by Ukraine, the quick efforts to approve these judges. What you have is a regime that has been totally discredited by the American system.

throw it out, bonked on the nose, really repudiated and denounced by the American people. And now they're using all their power in a kind of a panic to, to,

to clean up the messes, you know, with better trucks out in front of the Department of Justice is authorized and of war is next level crazy. So I'm very concerned about the next 60 days. What's remarkable about this is that the efforts that they're doing right now, what all their actions are transparent and,

and grotesque. And everybody understands exactly what is going on. We've got a regime in panic, D.C.'s in panic about what's coming. And they're doing everything they possibly can to, I mean, what it really means that they're willing to burn down the house rather than leave it, essentially. And it's pretty terrifying. Not only is it terrifying, it's diabolical. I mean, these people would rather see the world go to ashes than Donald Trump govern it. Yeah.

Is that a fair summary? Charlie, thank you just for saying that. I mean, when I first saw all this happening, my mind raced back,

to a comment made by the economist Gunther Reimann in 1939, writing from Berlin. And he said, "I think that these people are going to be willing to go to war and destroy everything about the German nation, everything about society. There's nothing they won't do to preserve the party. They're going to go down with it and they're willing to torch everything."

And that's what he said. And that's what he predicted in 1939. And those words have been echoing in my head because there's nothing more awful than a corrupt totalitarian, would-be totalitarian regime that's been discredited by the people still holding on to power. They have 60 days. And it's a very dangerous time for America. You know, when the founders left this

period between the election and the inauguration, the presumption was that the outgoing regime was going to be responsible and adhere to the rule of law.

and we would have a smooth transition. That is not what we're seeing here. We're seeing the sort of next level scary, and nobody has any power to do, seems to have any power to do over it. I know there's been articles of impeachment introduced, but those offer their own complications. I mean, you know, so what? Because here's the thing. Everybody knows that this decrepit corpse in the White House is not really the president, not really making the decision. You know, it's not everybody...

Nobody has any illusion about this. This is really important though, Jeffrey, is that, and as someone who understands the power of the administrative state over the last 100 years, I mean, you've done more research and more talking about this, speaking about this, is that we're not being governed by a president anymore. We have veered off in the last couple of decades. We are now being governed by this super elite of a couple hundred experts. And that is even more dangerous than the,

you know, a quote unquote dictator in some ways. How do you, how do you disassemble that? Uh, Charlie, you're exactly right about that. And I would say that in general, this is kind of an, is even though the problem dates back a hundred years, you're right about that. Americans are just now newly alert to this. I mean, for that matter, I'm kind of newly alert to it, you know,

And it's a little overwhelming. And the thing about this administrative bureaucracy is that there's nobody to take responsibility. We don't know who's making these decisions over something that could lead to nuclear war. I mean, who is there? Anybody stepping up and saying, yeah, I did that. That was my that was my choice. That was my decision. Here's why I did it. There's nobody. We don't have a name. We don't have.

It's the way these committees worked. And I began to realize this more and more. We've all learned so much about government over the last years. But I remember there was this moment where Fauci was being grilled by somebody in Congress about the approval of these shots that didn't

that caused several officials of the FDA over vaccine safety to resign. And they said, you know, why did you approve that? And he said, well, I didn't approve that. That was approved by this committee over here at FDA. And they said, well, why did that committee approve? He said, well, I mean, well, they didn't really approve it. All they did was ratify the decisions by another committee in the CDC. And then you ask that committee and it's like, oh, well, it was that other guy. So it becomes a sort of gassy and opaque decision.

And yet you have these momentous decisions that have huge impacts on people's rights and liberties. And in the case of war, their lives...

And yet there's nobody willing to take responsibility. This is not the American system. The founders did not set up the government to be so detached from the people this way. Their specific plan was that the people would rule in America through their elected representatives. They would take responsibility for their decisions. And if they were the wrong ones, they'd get voted out of office.

But these bureaucrats who are making the decisions behind the scenes are nameless. They bear no responsibility for the consequences of their decision. And you can't even get rid of them according to the rules of the civil service. This is un-American. And this is why so many people are outraged and clamoring, screaming, yelling, demanding dramatic changes immediately. And

I think those are probably coming. My best guess is that they're coming. At least, you know, team Trump is going to do everything they possibly can to achieve it. What worries me are the next 60 days because DC is in a total panic right now.

They freaked out about Schedule F, you remember, in October of 2020, which was just a – it was nothing other than a, hey, what do you guys do around here? If you're doing policy and you're not really supposed to be doing that, you're going to be reclassified as –

As an employee who can be terminated, maybe. Okay, that was it. And the highest estimate is something like 50,000 people may have been reclassified. The whole of Washington was a meltdown. It didn't get a whole lot of public attention, but the Washington Post and The Hill and Politico and all these publications were just freaking out.

And the Biden administration immediately reversed that executive order. And they've been working all these years to entrench the bureaucracy. Well, I tell you what, Team Trump has also been working all these years. Forget Schedule F. I mean, that's not, I mean, yeah, they could pass that and probably will, maybe. We're talking about now getting rid of the whole of the civil service, which, you know what, Charlie? I favor that.

Because it's inconsistent with the Constitution. These people should be at-will employees. And now we've got Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy coming in there. And they have an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal today, which is talking about using tools. And they have, they can do it, especially with the majority in the Senate and the House and the right appointees. They can accomplish this task.

They're talking about maybe cutting 80% of the bureaucracy at this point and abolishing 40 years of regulations. And you know what? Americans will cheer. They will cheer for the first time in a lifetime. We have a public consensus that the system is out of control and we need something dramatic to happen to stop it. But these promises and they're credible ones. I believe them. I

I'm very excited. I could probably say it was nothing like this in Reagan's first term. I mean, this is a definite, you know, public consensus and a real fever pitch for reform. But now you've got Washington in a total freakout mode. We've got 60 days between now and then. It's going to be a tug of war between the totalitarians on one hand and the reformers and the freedom lovers on the other. It's an epic battle and it's going to take us right up to the inauguration.

The idea that there is not accountability is so smart because we don't know who actually does the action. And instead, it is this tyranny of...

a quasi-collective where it's 10 or 12 people in a room. Can you build that out more for the audience? Because it almost makes accountability impossible if you don't know who is responsible. Well, everybody who's worked for a large company knows the way this works. If somebody suggests a committee, they'd say, oh, we're all going to get that in there and brainstorm. What that really means is that somebody has some item of

an agenda item that they want to shove through, but they don't want to take responsibility for it. They want to make it mushy and make the decision-making crowd-based so that if something goes wrong, they don't have to take responsibility for it. And it's the same thing and true in science. I was thinking about this the other day, John Enides, a great scientist at Stanford University said, you can always tell

A piece of fake science because it's signed by more than three authors, right? And we've seen this over the COVID period, right? Lots of huge studies coming out and it has 18 authors, right? Why aren't there 18 authors? Then you contact one of them and they say, well, I don't really know. I didn't really run through it. Then you contact everybody and nobody seems to take responsibility for the fake science.

And he's done a lot of research in fake science, and he discovers that it's more than likely the case that it's fake if it's signed by more than three authors because if you diffuse responsibility that broad, then nobody's actually doing the work. There's some bad guy hiding somewhere. Well, it's the same. I mean, if it's bad in science, if it's bad in your corporation, I promise you government is like next level terrible itself.

So you get these people in a room and there's one person who has an agenda, usually it's some special interest, and they're shoving it through blackmail bribes or goodness knows what. And then they get this faceless, nameless committee to get it through the bureaucracy. They know the system. They know how it works. And they've been tricking us and lying to us for so many decades, they figured they would just get away with it. And they typically have.

It was the COVID period that exposed it all. You know, the sort of corrupt relationship between...

agencies and their committees and corporations with their lobbyists and then their media outlets and this whole sort of what people are calling the blob, you know, hard at work and they've been able to get away with it. And finally America just woke up and said, wait, who's running this country? You know, what is the law and what isn't? Who's making these crazy decisions? Why am I having to put a plexiglass in my, why am I having to shut down my company? How come I can't go to church?

And that's what raised the fundamental questions. And the system broke during that period. And that, I think, is what accounts for this election in part. And people are just sick of it. Like, let's get back to the system the founders established where the people are in charge through their elected representatives and somebody is going to be held accountable for what kind of

system we're running. I don't want to live under a regime over which I have absolutely zero control, which is really where we are right now with 420 some odd agencies.

And two to three million bureaucrats that nobody knows anything about that can't be fired. That is not a tenable system. So Trump comes to Washington with an excellent cabinet picks, with a mandate to clean up the system and do something about it and get us back to a system whereby we have actual accountability and

in government and that's what they're planning to do but like i said my worry is that we have 60 days between now and then like what's coming to washington is a revolution like we've never seen

And everybody knows that. And there's every reason to think it's going to happen. It's very serious. But Washington is in a panic right now and pursuing irrational, crazy, lawless, dangerous activities. And we're all feeling right now

powerless to stop it. It's actually scary. We're going into the holidays. But however, the House Republicans need to get more involved with war oversight powers right now. I mean, they have a mandate from the American people. We're not just going to sit idly by and allow Joe Biden to sleepwalk us into World War III, which, by the way, would act as a diversion device against that coming revolution.

Yeah, I agree. And, you know, I met with a bunch of friends last night, Brownstone does a supper club and with about 100 of us, we were meeting and spontaneously, a lot of the people are writing public letters to Putin saying, we don't want war. Please.

Please don't take this decrepit old man in the White House seriously. Americans are a peace-loving people. We can work out our differences. Let's not blow up the world before we get a responsible government in here in January. I think this is really interesting. I think you're right about the House of Republicans. Thomas Massey is sounding the alarms that others need to get involved. This is very serious. We need to wake up.

and somehow survive between now and the inauguration so that we can at least reset and get back on track to having an American system of government again. Jeffrey, great. Come back anytime. I love it. And we must stop the war machine. The war machine is the energy force of the administrative state. Jeffrey, thank you so much.

Let me ask you a question. Do you think our country is going in the right direction or does it feel like everything is falling apart? If you're feeling alarmed, you're not alone. In fact, Americans from all walks of life have taken action to prepare for whatever is coming next. And that starts with an emergency food supply. Restoring food in your home is the right thing to do because we're living in wild times, which explains why so many people are preparing.

Right now, you can get ready to with a three-month emergency food kit from My Patriot Supply. It comes with delicious foods like creamy storgunoff, honey wheat bread, and mushroom rice pilaf. This entire kit...

This kit offers over 2,000 calories every day. This kit lasts up to 25 years. Who knows what our country will look like then? But when the day comes, you'll be ready. Go to MyPatriotSupply.com. That is MyPatriotSupply.com to order your three-month emergency food kit. You are nine meals away from anarchy. Go to MyPatriotSupply.com.

Joining us now is Brendan Carr, Commissioner of the FCC and soon to be Chairman of the FCC. Congratulations, Brendan. Welcome back to the show. Yeah, thanks so much, Charlie. And obviously, first of all, thank you so much to you and to the entire movement you've built. I mean, the listeners here probably don't need

me to say that, but you have helped to fundamentally reshape not just the conservative movement, but now Washington, D.C. itself. And it's time for people to come into the administration, President Trump's administration, that are fully 100% aligned, that are on board, and that are going to deliver on all of these ideas that you have championed, that President Trump has championed. And so I'd

Thanks again. You had me on way back in the day when I was a backbencher commissioner. I really appreciate your long-term support for these FCC issues and how you've highlighted them. It's made a big difference. Well, we've always had your back, and I played almost a nothing role, but I did advocate for you with the boss. Absolutely. For whatever the...

whatever that's worth. So congratulations. So just educate our audience. Let's just start with first principles. What is the FCC? What role are you assuming and what do you oversee? Yeah, so the FCC is a five-member commissioner. So right now there's three

three Democrats, two Republicans. I'm the senior Republican in the FCC. Oversees everything from the wireless industry to the broadcast media industry. We are tasked with ending the digital divide, extending broadband to rural America, efforts of which have stalled drastically under the Biden-Harris administration. We're charged with a national security docket. We've taken action on things like Huawei and ZTE at the hardware level. And for me, you know, first steps as, you know, President Trump is a designated minister,

me as chair is get with his team and make sure that there's, you know, 100% understanding what his agenda is. After all, he's the one that's been elected at the end of the day. And for starters, for me, it's a couple of things. One, it's going to be tech censorship. You know, we absolutely have to smash the censorship card.

There's going to be a role for the FCC there, for sure. We're going to need other agencies and Congress's help as well. The second piece is taking a look at the broadcast media industry. Broadcasters are specially situated. They're not like any other speaker that's out there. They have a license from the federal government. And with that, that free license, comes some benefits and some burdens. And one thing they have to do is operate in the public domain.

interest, not a narrow agenda, the public interest. And we're going to hold them to that and we're going to reinvigorate it. And the third piece is unleashing economic opportunity.

When President Trump came in in 2017, we were behind on 5G, we were behind on rural broadband, and he turned things around. We know how to do it. We're going to do it again. We're going to unleash private sector builds. We're going to get the space economy going. Whether it's Elon Musk, Starlink, or other providers, they've been completely hamstrung by the government the last four years. They've succeeded nonetheless, but we're going to let the private sector cook and

And it's going to be really good for the economy and for jobs. I love it. And so thank you for that explanation. Now let's get into a controversial issue, but not really. I am of the opinion that

that we should enter the rest of the industrialized world. Every other country other than New Zealand does not allow pharmaceutical advertisements on TV. I think it is bad for media. I think it undermines the integrity of journalism when it comes to public health. I also think it's unnecessary. If you need a drug, why do you need it broadcast to you with these ridiculous B-rolls of people running through a meadow? Why won't the doctor

know what is best for you. Why is this incessant, the drug culture that we see necessary? I don't think it's good for the society. I think it should be banned. That's just Charlie Kirk's opinion. Let's play cut 69 on just a short montage of how your nightly news is purchased by big pharma play cut 69. CBS health watch sponsored by Pfizer Anderson Cooper, three 60.

Brought to you by Pfizer. ABC News Nightline. By Pfizer. Making a difference. Brought to you by Pfizer. CNN Tonight. Brought to you by Pfizer. Early start.

Brought to you by Pfizer. Friday night on Aaron Burnett Outfront. Brought to you by Pfizer. This week with George Stephanopoulos is brought to you by Pfizer. Your reaction, Brendan? Look, if I ever needed to know how to throw a tight spiral through a tire swing or figure out a good location to put a bathtub overlooking a cliff, then those pharma ads would probably be helpful.

helpful. My own personal view is, look, this is a longer discussion, but I think we're way too, you know, medicated in this country. And there's precedent for doing exactly what you're talking about. In 1970, President Nixon signed a law to ban cigarette advertising on the nation's airwaves. It went into effect in January of 1971, and the FCC helps enforce that. I think that could be a path forward for the FCC. So maybe it's HHS, maybe it's Congress. You know, we need

potentially probably have to have some sort of law, again, either HHS or otherwise passed to address pharma ads. And then the FCC would be well positioned to help enforce that. And I think that's an idea that's a really good one and we should all be looking at ways to do it. Yeah, I just, I completely agree. And I think that the ramifications of this

of having pharmaceutical advertisements is so negative. So just what would the process look like to say that you are not allowed to advertise prescription drugs on television? What would that look like?

like? The process that's been used before has been a two-step process, which was, in that context, it was a law passed by Congress that sort of made those types of advertisements effectively illegal on broadcast medium. And then the FCC can step in based on that

and take action, my guess is we'll probably need some sort of two-step. Maybe that first step could come from an HHS determination rather than from Congress itself. But I think it would require that type of two-step process, but we'll see where HHS goes, we'll see where Congress goes.

Again, I think as a nation, we're just way, way too medicated right now. I mean, mental health is at an all-time low and advertisements for Big Pharma are at an all-time high. Something is not working there. Without a doubt. Brendan, what are some of the other big battles that you are having at the FCC to maintain freedom of speech, but also make sure that we're not living under a permanent corporate oligarchy?

Yeah, I mean, the tech censorship has got to be a top priority here. I wrote a letter about a week ago to the CEOs of some of the largest tech companies, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Meta. And I made a lot of points there, but the narrow point was about this outfit called NewsGuard. I can't remember how much you've dealt with them before, but they hold themselves out as the Internet's fact checker and sort of the archivist.

arbiter of truth, which is, uh, it'd be funny if it weren't so damaging, but remember NewsGuard has on their board of advisors, at least one person that signed onto the Hunter Biden laptop story that itself spread a consequential set of misinformation stories. Uh,

The reporting is that they rate CCP propaganda as more reliable than U.S. publication. They're under investigation right now by House committees for impact on free speech, and the list goes on and on. And so what I said to these tech companies is, look, you've enjoyed these special protections, Section 230, but under the statute, 230 only applies.

if you are operating as relevant here in good faith. That's a statutory term. You can get, people can get mad. You shouldn't be making good faith decisions. Okay. Congress said it, good faith. So my question for them is how can you continue to rely on this outfit called NewsGuard for content moderation or otherwise, when they're clearly engaged in such concerning conduct and spreading of misinformation? So I want them to be clear that, you know,

If they keep relying on NewsGuard for anything, they are really putting their Section 230 liability protections at risk. And I've asked for responses by them in the next couple of weeks. First of all, just so I can understand all of the webs in which NewsGuard is involved, whether it's search or app stores, AI. I mean, Microsoft has some sort of deep

AI relationship with NewsGuard. And again, it's the tip of the iceberg, but it's a piece of this broader censorship cartel. Some of it is individual decisions that Facebook and others have made, but it's more than that. It's advertising agencies, it's marketing agencies, it's European government outfits. So we're going to do some pinpricks, but at the same time, we've got to try to get this whole thing root and branch because free speech is just the cornerstone of democracy. We've seen this massive surge in censorship in

And for people that are going to try to censor the rights of everyday Americans, I'm going to stand in the way. I love that. In closing here, Brendan, you were instrumental in exposing the $40 billion debacle on broadband in rural areas. How much money did we waste and how many people were connected to the Internet? Yeah, $42 billion over a thousand days later, Vice President Harris was specifically put in charge.

not a single person connected no dirt was turned we're going to get that entire program turned around some money's been spent but it's all been like government jobs up to now but the vast majority of the 40 billion is still there i met just yesterday here at the fcc

with a large group of broadband builders and telecom crews. And they were saying, look, we got totally hung out to dry by the Biden-Harris administration on this. We invested millions and millions of our own capital in construction equipment, getting ready to go, this $42 billion. And it's just been sitting there.

And they're paying huge interest rates for the money they had to take out to make that purchase. And I've told them, we're going to get this sorted out. It's a mess right now. It's an absolute mess. But we're going to get it sorted out. We're going to get people connected. And I'm hoping we can do it in a way that's tech neutral so that, you know, whether it's Kuiper from Amazon coming online soon or Starlink, that they get to play a role here because that's how you quickly and efficiently connect people. Brendan, congratulations. We'll be talking a lot. Anyway, we can help you let us know. Thanks so much. Thanks, Charlie. Thanks for your support. I appreciate it. Thank you.

Man, I'll just editorialize for a second there. If we're able to ban pharmaceutical advertisements, that will make NFL football games so much more watchable. I mean, it's just you're watching a college football game, NFL game. You're watching a news program and it's just some drug after drug. And we never get down to the question of what are the root causes? And by the way, yes, while we're at it, we can ban the gambling ads, too. Might as well. I'm kidding.

So you can get down to the root causes of the metabolic diseased conditions. Get down to the root causes. I know Bobby Kennedy wants to do that. So, okay, instead of the major pharmaceutical advertisements towards like Ozembic, why not advertisement? Go for a walk. Advertisement. Stop eating junk food. Go get sun.

I have not been totally read in on this, but the Daniel Penny story in New York is completely outrageous. And remember this story. This is a good Samaritan who restrained this lunatic in a subway, and he is now facing murder charges for being a good Samaritan. Whoever ends up being Attorney General.

under Donald Trump, we have to find ways and we have to be creative to hold New York accountable if they convict him. I'm not sure what that looks like. I'm not sure how that is. But this story right here, Daniel Penny is an American hero. Other Marines are vouching for him. What did he do wrong exactly? He put a lunatic who was harassing other people in a headlock. What they're trying to do

is they are trying to emasculate this entire country. They are trying to castrate you so that alpha men do not stand up against injustices, bullying, or a terror campaign against women. They are trying to metaphorically castrate an entire society of men. Remember, the guy he put in a headlock was still alive when the cops got there. We now know this guy had drugs in his system, very similar to George Floyd. Sound familiar?

So they're putting Daniel Penny on a show trial. Meanwhile, there are guys that just roam throughout New York City and stab people, get released, stab people, get released. Bottom line is that alpha men are a threat to the new world order.

Daniel Penny and the Daniel Penny story is one of the most important things happening in the country that nobody's focused on right now. This should get Kyle Rittenhouse style attention. And in fact, we need to spend more time. Let's get a guest on for Daniel Penny tomorrow. I know there's so much happening with transition, so much happening with Donald Trump. I mean, I'm right there in the middle of it. But the Daniel Penny is the last gasp of a dying, illegitimate, toxically feminine regime.

that sees Daniel Penny as a white, straight, Christian alpha male who stood up against a lunatic in a subway and should go to jail for that. We know that there will be outposts of resistance in New York City, LA, and Boston. But I want you to think about this. This is a young man who saw women being harassed and decided to do something about it, and he might spend the rest of his life in jail. He might spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Not only do you do nothing wrong, he is a good Samaritan and an American hero. And we're left with very little to do. By the way, this is the terror of New York and red states need to retaliate. We've said this for quite some time. This is why we need Matt Gaetz as attorney general to balance the system of justice, in my opinion. But Steve Bannon is going to go up against a federal trial in February, not federal trial, I'm sorry, state trial in February for this ridiculous we build the wall stuff. They're going to try to put Steve Bannon in state prison.

Same Alvin Bragg junta that is going after Daniel Penny. The same junta that went after Donald Trump. This lawfare is not stopping, and the Daniel Penny situation is a metaphor. It is a metaphor for a sickness that we have in our society that we are shedding, by the way.

a sickness that we are overcoming. The people spoke, you guys did our work, but the fight is not yet over. So Daniel Penny did the right thing. What would you teach your son to do in a situation like that? Well, the example that they're trying to make is if you see something bad happen, don't do the right thing because you might go to jail. When you see an injustice, don't stand up for the disadvantaged. Don't stand up for the downtrodden. It is not an exaggeration.

to say that this is what destroys an entire civilization. When people don't care about justice and don't care about those around them and are afraid to be heroes. When you go to the third world and you see people suffering on the side of the street and they're just kind of indifferent. They no longer have civilization. Now women go on social media and complain about how crazy people are on trains and none of the men step up. And here's the sad reality. For friends that I have in New York, my advice to them is,

If a woman is being harassed and a woman is being hit by a homeless man, don't do anything. Don't do anything. Morally, you should do something, but legally you could end up in prison. So now women are going on social media saying, why do none of the men defend me? Because the man who defends you is going to jail. Daniel Penny, especially in blue states and blue cities and women are being harassed. They're being raped. They're being sexually assaulted. They are being chased in the streets. And where are the men? Oh, I could tell you where the men are.

You're putting the men in jail. A friend of the show was just menaced by a homeless psycho this morning and nobody would do anything. People just kind of watched and sat idly by. The Daniel Penny show trial in New York is one of the most critical things happening on the planet. Thanks so much for listening, everybody. Email us as always, freedom at charliekirk.com.
