Hi, Hannah and Lamorne. Indian Canadian girl here. Sounds familiar. My people. I've been a fan of New Girl ever since it first aired. I watched it with my cousins, and for years, it was the main show that we referenced all the time, partly because it was so nice to see an Indian woman represented.

In 2020, I was living alone. And a couple of months into the pandemic, I ended up moving in with three roommates. All of them were men. And with one of them, there was instant chemistry between us that started getting more and more intense. Okay. There's no emphasis. That's what she said.

That's what she said. Bold or italics happening here. Intense. Choice or me. The similarity between my situation and Jess's situation was not lost on me. And he and I actually started rewatching the show together as a way to spend time together and get to know each other better. Eventually, neither of us could resist anymore. And we ended up making out for the first time one night while we were watching the show.

I don't remember the exact episode, but I remember it was pretty soon after Cooler when Nick and Jess hooked up for the first time. We ended up staying together for three years. Damn. Even after we broke up, he remained one of the most important people in my life. I just thought he was the best person, such a good man and one of my best friends. We cared about each other so much for such a long time. Why did you break up, damn it? This week,

He told me he's getting more serious with a new person he's been seeing. This is taking a turn. So he doesn't think he should be in contact with me at all anymore. My heart is broken.

But I will always treasure the time we had together. And New Girl played an important role in those special memories. It has also been really nice listening to the podcast and hearing other listeners chime in about what the show has meant to them and to feel like I'm part of that community. I was wondering if you think it's ever really possible to be friends with an ex. Would Nick and Jess have stayed friends if they had dated and broken up? What about Schmidt and Cece? Have you ever actually successfully done it?
