I thought it was Nick who was losing his virginity to Octopussy. Octopussy. Yeah, but I, anyway, Octopussy was one of the names and I think that was funny. I do love it when people see obscure, like, New Girl references in the wild and they get it. It's like we're all in on this joke. It's like people send me so many pictures of lionfishes. It's wild.

Oh, yeah. Like, but of course, there's like this connection. And I love that the New Girl universe has like all of these inside jokes. But Octopussy, that's hysterical to be like, hey, children. Yeah. You know what you could win today? In the claw machine? In Octopussy. I also, Danny, I don't think you, I don't think there's a problem. Just send it. Okay. So, Hannah, what's your IG? They can just DM Hannah the picture of it. The picture of it.

Hannah checks it out, makes sure it's okay. Then she shares it with the rest of us. DM all this stuff, by the way, to the Mess Around Pod. They are so great. First off, my husband and I are the biggest fans of New Girl. We love the show so much and have honestly probably watched it 20 times through. It's a comfort show and whenever we're having a bad day or time, we snuggle up on the couch and hang out with our friends.

in 4D. New Girl has this special vibe to it where when you know what scene is building, the scene is building to in the final punchline, it makes it funnier somehow. We quote New Girl literally every day and communicate exclusively in New Girl quotes sometimes. The show has brought so much joy into our lives. We can't thank you enough. Okay, enough gushing. Lamorne, Winston is terrible at puzzles and pranks.

But when he pranks Nick with the walkie talkie and says, yum, thank you for your letter. I roll on the floor laughing every single time. I need a voice clip for my trash can.

to have my trash say, yum, thank you for your trash. Every time I throw something away, it would make me make us giggle and so happy. Thank you so much for doing this podcast and giving us merch and more enjoyment from a show that we love so much. I realized you should have read this one because then you would have said it and then she could have clipped it out and used it. Yum. I'm like, wait, which episode was that from? I think I was outside and it might have been an episode where I was wearing a wig and I was wearing a, you know what's funny? I do believe I am currently looking at a photo. No. In my office. I remember the moment where he's talking to the mailbox, but I think when I popped my head around, I felt like I was wearing that shirt. Really? Yeah. When you did the show, and I haven't rewatched it 20 times through, like I don't know every single reference. Yeah. It's wild. Like you really have to like, this is why we're doing this rewatch. It's a big education for Lamorne and I too to go back and be like, wait, what is that? Oh, 100%. We're rediscovering it with you guys. 100%. All right, this is our last DM, Lamorne. You want to go? My name is Mr. Jorrell Manoa. Jorrell Manoa. Hope I said that right. Manoa. Manoa. I'm an elementary teacher on the west coast of the island of Oahu, Hawaii. My wife and I have been fans of New Girl since the premiere.

Since the premiere, for me at least, there has never really been a period in my life where I wasn't actively watching New Girl. I cannot count the amount of times I have watched the show all the way through. I would watch it in the morning while packing my wife's lunch or doing dishes. I even watch while I'm working out. I hate working out, but watching New Girl makes the experience enjoyable, and it encourages me to work out longer so I can watch more episodes.

When the show was on Netflix, it was the only show in my recently watched because, and I am not ashamed to say this, New Girl was the only reason I had Netflix. You hear that, Netflix? When it left Netflix, I paid for all seven seasons on YouTube. Anyway, after that long introduction, I just wanted to share my own fan theory. And I don't care if no one else agrees with me. In the theme song and in episode two, Zoe sings the line,

Who's that girl? Over and over. She answers her own question by saying, it's Jess. And I just accepted that that girl is Jess because Zoe told me so. However, in season two, episode nine, Eggs, at exactly 16 minutes and 45 seconds, Nick sees Jess and Cece at the zoo and acknowledges them by calling them Jess and that girl.

This suggests that, although in Jess's world, that girl refers to herself, in Nick's world, that girl is Cece. I don't care if anyone agrees with me, but from then on, whenever the theme song ends with "It's Jess" in my head and sometimes out loud, I say, "It's Cece." If I did have a question, it would be this: Is there a fan theory that you heard that you wished was actually a part of the show?

Anyways, I just wanted to thank you for how you portrayed your characters and for creating this podcast. I feel like I'm hanging out with really good friends. Mahalo, Jor-El.

I feel like my dad wrote this. My dad's like, you know what? This show is actually about my baby. That girl. And here's why. Because in episode two, Nick says there's Jess and that girl. And I'm going to make it all work because I'm pretty sure that show is about Hannah. And I'm not backing down. I'm like, dad, dad, you don't live in Hawaii. What are you doing with this big story? Yeah.

Well, thanks, Jarrell. Yeah, thank you. I love all the fan theories, and there are a lot in the New Girl world. A lot. The bear. There's a lot of New Girl fan theories about a lot of different things, and I'm here for all of them. Oh, yeah, 100%. For me, it would be the bear. So this podcast wouldn't be embarrassing for you, Hannah. No.

I wish that was real. The fans and I are working it out, okay? Is there a real line in the sand? I mean, we just had Rikki Lindholm on. She was just like, absolutely, there's bears. Okay, so there are people from the New Girl universe that also back me up on this. I wonder what some of the other fan theories are. I've heard a few. I'm trying to remember any of them that I would like for to actually be true. Yeah, but the bear is at the top of my list for sure.

I think it's also like that. I remember people telling me that the real like love story was like the Nick and Schmidt love story. Oh, yeah. That's like the big love story. You have these other relationships that go on. But the way that you're really invested, like that have the most heartbreaking conversations that are like the most connected that know each other the best.

That love story, man. One for the ages. Some of the best kisses that happened on this show were between Jake and Max. They were just mouthing each other a lot. Yeah. I mean, that's a fan theory right there. I like that one. Friendship. Am I right? Friendship. Bro-ship. I'm all there for it. Well, thanks, Cheryl. I like that one. I haven't heard that one before. My family will be a big fan of that one.
