there making me that's going to be .

in that's the scientific .

and I would love if I ask, write doctor and he just said.

like my allergies there.

my specific doctor too.

which I just say, I feel like my doctor might say that .

honestly I also.

which I appreciate we don't know. No.

like. No, communicate. He was just like, no, no, no, it's a pro. Well, the doctors, that's allergies and my a business more understanding of them and onto the .

episode because it's spooky season. You spoke okey season.

But I feel like we kind of made this theme that were also doing like I feel like a lot of times we go like full bookie, which just like super fun yeah but without meaning to we've into twenty two crime in to this .

footage season yeah definitely become like a more like a mishmash ed one which I like yeah a lot. We we've touched upon a lot of different things about some like spooky. We did some spooky cemeteries and like spoons, which is fun. We're done some hunting, some you know, fake hunting, some true crime that cause the faculty.

So we're actually in a place of like true crime causing the fake questioner contents. This is a place that like honestly, i'll be quite for you can open with you at the beginning. Most of this is just true crime in the end is like a little bit haunted.

But there's debate over how haunted IT truly is. We're going to be talking, unfortunately, about the murder of present mr. But also the boiling murder mention. So a little after a midnight on june thirty, if one thousand nine hundred eighty seven.

So not too far back, guys. No, I was born.

I was not, so I was an even to star in the sky, but you were, you were out of the sky.

yeah. I mean, I was only like to, but still that I was here. That's kicky.

And you might have been able to walk.

Yeah, I mean, I hope so.

but then I hope i'm not there yet. Okay.

anyway, like baby, I hope I don't know.

I don't know. That works. But a little after midnight on june thirty, one thousand nine hundred eighty seven, one, you how to walk? yes. And Sparks was woken from sleep by what sounded like somebody running down the street and shouting out of outside of the window.

No, I go leve.

No, no. That's exactly what people not to know. But it's so scary. It's so scary.

The noise was allowed enough to disturbed his dog, who started barking uncontrollably at the noise outside. So that's when you really can't go back to sleep. No, you.

So cladding got out of his bed to investigate the noise, and he looked at his front window when he saw, quote, two figures running toward the door. A moment later, one of the figures had reached his front steps and was banging on the front door frantically. Clinton later said, I didn't know what was happening.

I didn't hear voice is at that time so completely fucking terrified. He backed away from the door, and at that very moment he heard a man's boy shouted, let go of me. Let go of me.

Oh, into him. The voice sounded desperate, sounded terrified. He said that sounded like someone who was in a lot of pain. So after hesitating for like a two, because, you know, you got got to be.

oh, I would not know what the fuck to do in that situation. I become the police yeah I the only thing I would know how to do.

that's the thing like immediately like all you need to do in that situation using is called the police. You don't have because this .

is one hundred and eighty seven. It's like he is a cell phone on and where you .

can .

just quickly call no yeah so he opened .

the door and he saw what appeared to be as a large smear of blood on his storm door. And he said he could still hear Youngling from somewhere outside. But by then whoever had been at the door was gone. So he was like, what the fuck do I do? And I think he probably, who was sitting member, this is like the middle the .

night like, yeah, it's like chicken and damn, what a fuck and beat us that he opened the door. I don't know that and honestly, we would be very dangerous to if you you know I mean, like IT sounds like those multiple people out there .

knowing what we know. I think good it's not a good thing that he didn't open the door, but I think I could have gone a lot. Yes, exactly.

yeah. yeah. So after waiting about ten minutes, he called nine one one to report what he believed was a violent altercation of some kind.

And he said, i'm pretty sure there's somebody out there in need of assistance like somebody y's bleeding. Yes, dreaming. So he told the dispatch, a couple of guys came up and beat on the door.

I went outside and looked, and they're some blood on the door IT looks like and he said he couldn't see anybody in the street at that time like when he was calling. But he said he appeared as though, quote, some things going on in the house across the street. When the dispatcher asked what clinton wanted them to do for him, he was like, well, i'd like an officer to come check out the nights or hood to look around.

I'd be so irritative I believe what the fucker you think .

I want you to do like I want .

you forget me a cool about IT the fuck do you think I want you to do that? You're the god day of emergency services. I come emergency serve.

please. Like I just told you, I heard yelling and they're in somebody need and you're like, what what do you want me to do? Oh god, your job.

I wanted to tell me what you think of the new terminator movie.

You tell me a nighttime lulli. Who are you not somebody smart? no. So he was like, can you send somebody out to have a look around? And he gave the address in the cross street and then was okay, like, hope you're coming good bye now.

That same evening, a fire had broken out at a house across town, and the dispatch decided that emergency should be given a higher priority, the fire, than the disturbance. So clinton s. Call wasn't even flagged as an emergency. Wow.

which is very much, well, crazy. I going to send that. A fire is like happening right now yeah so like that you gotto tree out those things, but it's like still a big deal. Someone's bleeding outside .

one that you you do have to um trios them yeah to like some level of importance. And if somebody y's bleeding, I think that high on the lid, I would think so. StrAngely enough, though, the call wasn't dispatched to an officer until forty eight minutes after the call was placed.

At that time, the officer who was assigned to the call was busy announce that would be resigned. But for whatever reason, the dispatcher never sent the call to another officer. What if I was like a huge fuck up? yeah.

So the next day, another resident in neighbourhood called the police to report what they believed was a large amount of blood in the street OK. So much so that, quote, someone or something could have blood enough to have died. They said, what? The fox.

So at that point, officers finally got around to investigating the front door of clinton Spark's home, where they did indeed find a bloody hand print. Sergeant jim tubs told a reporter. IT appeared like he had a whole hand full of blood, so there was like a straight up bloody hand print on the linton store.

yeah. And clinton s. House wasn't the only one. Police also found a bloody handprint on bloody handprints, excuse me, on the windows of another in nearby home.

like multiple my godness.

so they were able to follow a literal blood trail from the large pool in the street all the way to the front door of eight to five west london street, the home of Daniel and Katherine Rogers. The couple told the investigating officers that they actually weren't home the night before, and they didn't know when you think about the blood or the supposed fight that happened in the street. But when officers returned with a war in a short time later, they discovered that the blood trail LED inside the house and continued down into the basement, where they discovered more than thirteen pounds of marijuana scales and packaging material.

S, yeah.

So Daniel and caffeine Rogers were immediately arrested. yeah. And now they would ve got arrested at that point on charges as a possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. And the house was quoted off for further investigation .

because when they just like hang, and they were just in that house with that blood trail home through IT, yes, just like stepping over IT when they to get to the kitchen for a snack, I got you.

Well, they just hadn't cleaned up.

Then the cops come on and they like out, fine, this, we shouldn't clean this up by yeah, no, no. This is that they didn't yeah, obviously. But like when also .

the cops come and remember, one thousand nine hundred eighty seven weed was not legal. So you have thirteen rounds of weed in your basement? I don't know. Maybe clean up, maybe like, no, yeah maybe do anything, literally anything. But again, glad they didn't. So as they continued searching the Roger's home, investigators found a significant amount of blood's batter on multiple services throughout the house, obviously indicating that something pretty violent had happened there and .

that they are not good, clean people. No, no.

Even though there wasn't any victim found in the home and no wounded victim had reported to area hospitals, tips told her reporter were safe to say that I was human blood. Now, during your canvas of neighbourhood, one neighbour told officers that SHE actually saw Daniel Rogers hosing down the front porch of the house that morning, as well as the yard and sidewalk in front of the house. So he claimed the outside of the home, but not the end. In further searching of the home slush crime scene at this point, crime scene technicians discovered a handgun and bullet fragments lodged in the wall by the front door, one in the laundry room and one in the door frame leading to the basement. So like multiple bullets, just bullet fragments, just logging into a various places in the home.

that's probably fine. Yeah, totally. We don't have to worry.

Now, given the large amount of blood found inside and outside of the home, investigators started to theorize that the house said probably been the side of a murder. Yeah, likely. But unfortunately, without a victim, they weren't able to charge the couple with anything other than the possession .

charges that so fucked up.

But under the circumstances, a judge their bond at an unusually high amount of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars each. So that was going be very yeah unlikely that the'd be released now. The next day, two thirteen year old boys were fishing on the banks of boys y snake river when one of their fishing lines got caught on two plastic bags floating in the ripper, and the boys hold in the bags.

And when they opened them, they discovered the arms and fingers of a men that police would later identify as twenty one year old president. mr. Only shit, two, thirteen years, finding that grew some of and twenty one years old.

And that's just his arms and finger. So there's the rest of what happened here. Well, the next day, cl kitchen was fishing with his family when he spotted several objects flooding in the Browny reserved.

When he managed to bring the bags to shore, he opened them to discover more body parts later, determined to belong to a president or kitchen, later told the jury, I saw IT had to be a piece of a human body from above the naval to just below the leg, joins god. Investigators would eventually find thirteen garbage bags in total, all containing present works for me. wow.

Now president murder was like a pretty criminal who would spend his short life in and around idaho falls, idaho, and he'd been arrested on a handful of times for minor offences, just like disturbing the piece. He wasn't a violent guy. yeah. But just a few days earlier, on june twenty eighth, he had attended a funeral for a friend. And during the funeral, several attends, including Daniel Rogers, i'd gotten drunk and gotten into an argument, but quickly did escalate into a physical altercation.

So the police were called to this funeral in press in myr, in the other men were given a citation, asked to leave, so pressed him when back to his sister's apartment where he was staying, and he called the police to inform them that after he left the funeral, somebody called his sister's apartment and threatened to kill him. wow. Now, according to his sister, tana striper pressed in, drank and smoke pot recreationally.

But as far as he knew, he wasn't involved in any major criminal activity, SHE told her reporter SHE didn't know anybody who would want to kill him. yeah. So when investigators put all the pieces together, a picture of what had actually happened to present mr.

Started to emerge with Daniel and Catherine Rogers at the very center of at all. By the end of the week, Catherine had been ruled out as a participant in the murder, but detectives have identified Daniel Rogers, a complex thirty one year old daring cox. Both men were charged with the murder of preston murder, and cox ended up being held without bail.

So the more detectives learned are looked into dano Rogers background, the more they became convinced that he was the primary shooter in the death of present mr. Because he had a pretty violent past, he dropped out of high school in the eighth grade and spent most of his life just working. Meanwhile, jobs, he met his first wife, k, at one of those jobs, and they quickly got engaged and married. Later, K, V. Teller reported that SHE never actually was denel, but he saw him as her ticket out of her old abusive family.

That said.

was even sad because he was just as abusive term. Her dad was like, really, really abusive. I read, am one of the newspaper clippings that day found I was reading. And there are dad used to like, wake them up in middle the night and sit them on the couch and they hold them at gunpoint. Like SHE grew up at an .

incredibly abuse at home that .

makes me so that horrific. So then he married a Daniel .

and he was just as bad. That happens so often.

Ah it's it's hard go repeats because it's like you don't know any that's all.

So you don't know that's what you think .

love is and that's what you think you did very but so they moved around for a while from state to state across the south. Mostly they had their first time together. And then Daniel ja suddenly ran off one .

day with the neighbor's wife, damned back out of again .

with the neighbor's wife like all you should yeah.

And then he just came. But I, esty, i'm glad, you know, like he's gone by. No, Daniel never goes.

I want to k to be free. He just showed up. One day I came back and begged k to take him back. And he was like, no, your piece of so he kidnapped their six months old sun, essentially holding the baby as hostage, until he agreed that he taken back.

Buck, this guy, yeah, he's a piece of, I know.

and he has her own issues to, which is sad. But SHE, the good news says that really sounds like he turned her life around. Good job. Oh yeah. So in one thousand nine hundred and seventy five, Daniel, in case relationship, came to an end when he ended up turning her into the police in order to avoid being arrested himself for a robbery that they committed together in south CarOlina. They had committed a couple robberies and k had committed other robberies herself in the past with various accomplices um even without Daniel so he ended up when he turned her and he ended up being sentenced to twelve years and and like armed drowns .

ies to .

dam um at that point Daniel was awarded temporary custody of their two kids at this point oh god and then this is insane two years later, the day, the very day that he was awarded permanent custody of his two kids, he was arrested after shooting in killing his friend George weather acx during an argument. He shot his friend in the head during an argument, my god, a very day that he was awarded custody of his two children.

Like I was he not put away forever? I don't know. Like this man is a problem .

for some reason. IT was only second degree murder that he got convicted for, so he only served five .

years in prison for that. My god.

when he was released in one thousand nine hundred eighty two, he married Catherine and moved to boys y with his new wife and two children. Still, in a few years later, he just decided that he was tired of fatherhood. So he called cain, told her to come get the kids and take them for good.

I like, okay, I can understand these people luckily.

OK IT sounds like SHE. I got married. I think he became like a real stage, like a very successful real state.

K and SHE, like, did you got the kids together? Like, everything was good. OK kay, yeah, happy kay. Since palming the kids off on his x wife, Daniel and Catherine, his new wife, had been earning a living selling drugs, primarily cocaine in weed, and through the checks that they they also got an a learning through the checks that they received from the state for Foster care services.

No, i'm sorry. what? Wait, they were Foster.

somehow they were involved in like Foster. You, I don't know how, as a convicted second degree murder.

I am very confident.

Don't know if they just used Catherine credentials, but i'm assuming, my god, you check into both credentials you good right?

Yeah speaking of Foster parents and i'll say like, no, this is i'm going to OK good because that just made me really sad that they were first of these poor kids are going to that home yeah but I can tell you like there's a Foster parent .

that is the lady on tiktok.

Yeah, I love her. And so I think her thing is them hoffer. There was fer, I think we've talked about them.

I think we SHE and her husband are like, incredible. Just if you believe in Angels on their anger fully, like you are supposed to be here for these kids. They are, he was Cindy, and they are just like the kind of seeming people. And they, they, they take newborns like SHE has taken newborn's that are literally like hours old, like literally hours old. But he is like and SHE treats them like like you would treat your own new born and it's just like SHE and SHE like never shows her now SHE respects their privacy even as new borns you know me like no matter what and I think he also has a podcast, oh, doshi and it's called moms the word, mom's the word and it's a podcast with her friend yeah so it's called moms the word. I want to start listening to IT because I just like, and you can follow like her an instagram mer on tiktok I think it's them.

Hofer is their thing and you can donate to like and I think she's like a link train.

You can donate the things with because she's always like stocking up on things because he takes kids that like babies that like a moments notice and at every age. So she's got kind of the stockpile of supplies to be ready for whatever, which obviously he needs to replaced again.

And I came across her for the first time when I saw like I was just flicking through my for you page and I was her before he was about to receive a newborn infant in the middle the night and I just like, couldn't stop watching her. You found a god like, and he was just like, so lovely. You like a year so yeah, I remember what they found yeah but yes.

So 到 that just bobbed me。 I was so much that I was like, I need a happy. There's good because there's so many good Foster parents and so many good ones hope that.

like, they were good to the kids. I hope so. I didn't find anything to say, yeah, I don't know.

But they are contract with a whole health and welfare ran out in june of one thousand and eighty seven. So something happened where or maybe they were like, hey, we missed that one of you convicted MERS. So but yeah, now going back to the unfortunate murder of press and mr. Given the state of his remains, the autopsy obviously took more than ten.

God, I can't even father what that room would like. According to the medical .

examiner press in merse cause of death was single gunshot wounds to his head from a three, fifty seven calibre and gun. But the doctor noted that president had sustained additional gunshot wounds, including one in his shoulder. But because of the condition of the remains, on the amount of time that they had been submerged in water, also IT was difficult to determine if there was any other significant trauma to the body, but they were able to save that there were two gunshots. Now, although investigators were fairly certain that Daniel Rogers had committed the murder, IT wasn't until they interviewed presents girlfriend that the rest of the puzzle crime came together.

According to his girlfriend, after threat, the threatning phone call that he got at his sisters s apartment, he called denial Rogers in dering cox, who like seem to be at the, I don't know, they were like friends, friends yeah. They seem to be like their acquaintances. Es, at the very least, do you know, like they know each other.

And he believed they would know who threatened him. And what he should do about IT obviously felt like safe going to them. So they met at a local convenience store where the cashier were called seeing present use the payphone while holding a wooden baseball bat.

The three men then returned depressed and sister's apartment and discuss the fact that several guns had been stolen from Daniel ros house. Think there was like a lot of crime going. yeah.

Circle in the present told Daniel that he knew where they might be, where those still in guns might be, and after all, after that, all three of them drove around boys y for hours looking for the house where president thought the weapons would be, but they just couldn't find IT. So he called his girlfriend and he said they were going back to the in your Roger's house on london street. Now investigators there are, as that a little after midnight, present in Daniel got into some kind of argument where president was shot in the shoulder. And then as he attempted to flee the house, he went to clinton Sparks store, where he left that bloody handprint. But unfortunately, Daniel and daring caught up with him and dragged him back to the house, leaving that long trail of blood in the street, as you remember, the right to dan door.

And once they got him back inside, they believe Daniel Rogers shimmer in the back of the head, and then he endurin dismembered president's body in the place his remains in thirteen trash bags, which they then dump ed in three different locations across boys y after they disposed of their remains, they went back to the house and attempted to clean up the crime sea. Yeah, I think outside yeah who's down some stuff out? Sorry, lazy business.

So what they did inside and maybe they were very tired after the outside ah but that accounted for the neighbor witnessing Daniel hosing down his car, the yard in the front porch so in the july, the eight county prosecutor, greg bowers, which I feel like we've encountered another case yeah it's a very familiar but i'm greg bowers, filed in additional charge of assault against animal Rogers for his role in yet another violent crime, the beating of a man named jams, mr. Miller, which he had been accused of committing along with his friend James Miller. They just they found that that of that charge tears like, you know, what did this I think in, like interviewing .

people in his life?

I think they they weird that he murdered a man, his friend, and looking in the head and got out in five years. So by the end of the month, IO rotters was arrange on three separate charges, one for the drug possession with intent to distribute, one for the assault on Miller and one for the first digging murder of president were, and he pleaded not guilty on accounts.

At a preliminary hearing held in early september, multiple people testified about what they st on the night of prestons murder, including testimony from multiple detectives who relayed what daring cox had told them about the night of the murder because he sang like a canary yeah of course, according to the to boys y detective dave smith, when the upper tsi was thrown in the river, IT started floating. Cox was directed by mister Rogers to retrieve IT and take IT to the foot hills, detective Smith testified. After his arrest, cox quote broke down and said he wanted to tell me the truth, but then later became concerned about his confession.

Detective Smith continued. He was worried about what he told me, worried about what was gonna en to him. I mean, should be yeah, which is like you should yeah, you should give up whatever you should, you know some up.

But according to month, don cox later LED investigators to a local dumpster where he disposed of preston MERS upper torso and multiple other items related to the murder. Detective Smith said the tent was very prevalent. There was a lot of blood, two shoes, as well as globs that had blood on them. And further, we found one sock. So just like all his stuff just thrown .

in a dumper with .

part of his or with part of him and he's twenty one years a bb whole life I Daniel roddy's lawyers, a meal mission in john Adams, objected to the inclusion of toxic statements to the police, but that was overruled by the judge who was like, no, pretty.

That's a valuable person and info but thanks as a direct quote, a the defense also requested that the judge closed the hearing and trial to the media, with a member of the defense telling a reporter, I can't even imagine how bad it's gonna if the media sits in on this, but regardless of their concerns, the judge said now kept open to buy the request. Oh, shit. In the months leading up to the trial, the defense team tried again and again to get the trial moved to a new county, and at one point they even moved for a mission.

Al, after the prosecutor great bowl, a quote told jurors that Rogers was in police custody on other charges when he was arrested in murder. Death, according to a meal. Mission powers quote clearly violate the courts ruling and forever retaining of the jury panel, but the judge disagreed and decline the motion.

There is a lot of love. This judges just like, no, no, it's fine. Daniel Rogers trial finally started in marcha in early march of one thousand nine eighty eight. In his opening statement, power gave the jury of brief history of his criminal history.

Despite the judge explicit disclaiming, such information represented the state theory that at some point after the three men had can't gone back to Daniel house, Daniel present argued over drugs in Daniel shop pressed to death. The reference to the previous criminal charges in pending drug charges, obviously were objected to by the defense. Yeah, they immediately again moved for him as trial.

They were hoping so desperately for him, his trial, in this case, hope in wishing, praying. But guess what? That was rejected by the George Carry.

not. No, he only knows. No, he is not here to play now. Among the various witnesses who testified on behalf of the prosecution, where multiple police officers, multiple crime scene technicians, who explained the evidence that was discovered from the blood in the street to the evidence also collected inside the house, officer mike majors explaining to the jury what the search team had discovered on their initial search of the home, which was the gun, ammunition and an acts which Daniel Rogers buried in the garden next to the house. My god, obviously, that was used similarly.

Boysie crime lab technician darl's shaver presented irrefragable fingerprint evidence that was collected from the house, including prince on the gun and the very bullets that killed president shit. Similarly, even though DNA DNA testing was unavailable to them at the time, the technicians were able to determine all the blood that they found in the house, on the street, and the acts was from the same person with type o blood, which was a match for president mer. Damn, look at them.

I know, and I think it's so up. That's why I do love. And we've cover cases that are like not super modern because .

it's the work they really do. It's not that i'm saying people now don't have to work. Of course, the people now do have a lot more at they are disposal to solve these crimes.

Yeah, digit footprints and cameras everywhere. Dm, all you familiar? Al DNA, in all this fun stuff that is great and that's what we want. But that's what we always saying like the older cases are just like they're fascinating to see how they come to the conclusion because they have to be so creative you like when you .

have DNA makes a brakes a case yeah think about like you have to make our break a case without DNA because that was an an option like it's it's just to think about and one thousand nine hundred eighty seven doesn't even sound like that long ago. But I think that like, well, how they didn't even have DNA testing and obviously I was like in its infancy they were working on IT but just that they didn't have IT .

out .

there is a crazy IT is uh, crime lab technician walley Baker also testified that the bullet removed from press in my kull was a match for one of the slugs pulled from the door frame epic ene. And both of those came from Daniel Rogers three fifty seven mag of older. And so they asked whether two identical guns from the same manufactured could produce similar results they wanted to see like or maybe we can get. But Baker said, even consecutively made barrels are different. Meaning every gun, which I didn't know this, and I thought I was interesting, every gun that comes off an assembly line is unique in some identifiable way, which is how they could inclusively say that both bullets came from Daniel.

Gun, inside of a gun barrel has almost like its own fingerprint. Lt, through. It's gona leave Marks that you won't find on into another gun.

I never knew that. yeah. Is that so interest? yeah. And yeah, how did you know that? Because I took a volie CS class in in college once. Cool, like like forensic science, politic, CS as part of IT.

That's cool. I feel that be like, interesting. Yes, sometimes I like, well, I really wish paid attention in college really did something like this.

Well, that's the thing I was like something I was really interested.

And so I liked that. Yeah, I just wanted to be a teacher back. But anyway, when he came time for the defense to present their case, they offered a pretty simple, but also a very questionable explanation. They said, denial Rogers have been killed prema daring cox tute they .

man as well to give IT a shot. You know, I think that was pointed.

The other early thing they could have done that that's literally all they have. So according to Daniel Rogers, who took this to head in his own defense, interesting way, he couldn't have participated in this murder or this dismemberment because he had an extreme hobo of blood. That's, i'm sorry.

i'm sorry what guys .

I know you think I did this and I know that like these bullets were shot from my gun and everything, but I didn't. I have a gun, but I would never shoot anything because I can't see a bleed, because i'm so scared of blood.

Blood gives me the ix, so I can. I like, blood makes me go, you know, I couldn't.

You shot your friend in the head and serve time for them yeah like when you shoot someone in the head and willing about .

that's pretty bloody I got to know in their like pre trial stuff when they're sitting and like he pitched that idea or somebody gave him that idea, just a good idea yeah, let let's have you do that. He literally said.

direct quote, I can't stand the side of blood. I felt like I was gonna up well and he said he had an extreme phobia, not to sta phobia, an extreme hobo.

I, you know, I doubt IT. Yeah, you're got to be quicker and just going .

to go out and say, I doubt that I got unlike the man erie, that's what I somebody should just like call to pop that man to you that's ridiculous ous. That's .

honestly that he said.

guys, this is our best bet. That's a record. I got something, this behavior RAID of blood, I couldn't done this. That's a reckless testimonial behavior. Tell them there is no way with me.

Fob, A S makes me good.

Could throw up like, like what you just membered a man's body. Are you fucking in getting? He's the worst now, during several hours of testimony, Daniel Rogers explained to the jury that I was daring cox, we'd gotten in a fight with press in while the two were smoking some with in the basement.

And he said he heard he wasn't even there. He was upstairs yeah. And he heard the fight escalation where he was stair so far away.

And he said, by the time he made IT down to the basement, which was, you know, so far that daring cox had pulled out a knife and was threatening present and he said, I decided to break IT up. He told the jury they weren't paying me a bit of attention at this point. They were fighting and cutting at each other.

Of course they were. So he said he fired A. Warning shot to break up the fight in his own home OK, if I was Katherine, I would be all on, yeah, warning shots in my house.

But he said that only caused president murra rush at him, knocking him to the floor on his way up the stairs to flee but he said daring cocks then grabs the gun from him from Daniel and, uh, cheese press and were out onto the street, eventually dragged him back into the house. He said, next thing I do as I try to go and stop them when I got to the kitchen part of the house, I heard the gun go off so is like, it's weird. I'm always so away .

and .

kids are happy .

and I am crazy. It's wild. I'm just like never there, but I am around so I can hear things.

Yes, never close. I never right there and it's because i'm so scared of blood. That's thing.

I'm worried. Somebody something likes scrape themselves somewhere. I'm just gonna.

I just red in shots in my own home. Yeah but in his version events he was simply an innocent by stander who actually tried to intervene to save present. What a hero. Oh, wow.

S C has IT. But the problem was that none of the evidence supported his theory or history, and by all accounts of the two men IT was Daniel Rogers, not daring cox, who was more likely to react with explosive, deadly violence, a whole fuck blown history.

Other, he shot his friend in the head .

once to shoot your friend in the head and serve time for IT and then kill another man and go up to the jury into in salt phone that way, saying, I have a tobia of blood so in my friend head couldn't be me. After two weeks of evidence and testimony, the jury deliberated a little more than six hours, which are like six hours I took you. But they found in Roger's guilty of first degree murder good.

Prestons mother may told reporters, i'm so happy with the IT. I'm delighted. And a few weeks later, Daniel Rogers returned to the court and was sentenced to life in prison and fully so now, based on the outcome of Daniel Rogers trial, which named him as the shooter, daring cox retracted his original plea of not guilty and decided to make a deal with the district attorney to pleaded guilty to charges of being an accessory to a felony and aggravated assault. In exchange for his plea, he got a sentence of five years in prison in a fine of ten thousand dollars. My god, I just wanna really that this man helped his friend kill somebody and dismember their body to the point where I had to .

fill thirteen truck.

five years and a fine. That's a bullshit that is indeed.

But he in his .

version of the of events, he said he didn't know what was happening until after the assault gan, and after that Daniel Rogers threatened his life, telling him you're either with me or you're against me and he interpreted that to mean that Daniel would also kill him if he didn't assist in disposing of the body and as far as his participation in the murder middle, he said, IT was more or less for my own safety.

you know, more or less, like all you remembered.

a man for your own say, and more or less, if that helps us lesly by night, the more or less for me yeah. You know, more casual is often yeah but in the years since this trial, Daniel Rogers has actually tried to have his verdict of returned in petition for a new trial multiple times, claiming, among other things, that the court abused its discretion in revealing his criminal past in the jury was biased by immediate attention.

But as of now, he has been unsuccessful. wow. Now the convictions of Daniel Rogers and daring cox for the gruesome murder of customer should have been the end of this tragic story. But for the house on london street, IT was just the beginning of a new and definitely more macos status as the murder mansion, bois's most notorious haunted house h.

It's kind of unclear at what points rumors of the hunting beginner who started them, but IT actually does turn out that president MERS, not the first person who died in that house in june of one thousand nine hundred and fifty two. The holme's owner in ninety one year old bird, sixteen SHE, died in her home. I know birdies like of my favorite names. SHE died of natural causes after living in the house for forty four years, a few years later, in one thousand nine hundred and fifty eight, seventy one year old john, I think it's egan also died in that home, followed a year later by eighty nine year old Allen marker tam.

this is like the florida houses far. yes. IT is just like that. retire. Yes, there you go. It's so true, but I hope they were all like comfortable and happy in their home.

I know I hope so too. Yeah and then the next first to die in the house was murdered. I was a because .

that before that it's just like super old yeah like all at the end of their life, at the end of their lives, dying of natural causes in the home that that they like assumability love yeah exactly you know, feel comfortable .

but terrible way that then a twenty one year old who was shortly mr. Brutally killed and that was nearly thirty years after Allan marker had passed away. Despite the gap in years and decidedly different circumstances of depth, this group would serve as the basis further rumors of the hunting. At eight o five london. I mean, I got IT.

I would also want to be here.

Twenty twelve local news channel K B I and interviewed the home's new owner, Davis um SHE hadn't experienced anything unusual herself, but choose well aware of the rumor is about her house. SHE told them living there. I don't I really don't feel that I was ever afraid. I felt I was haunted, but there are so many stories that everyone else .

is convinced that is, well, maybe you're not afraid because they're like.

all happy goes. Yes, that's what you would hope yeah. For the most party, he and our children had no reservations about living in a house for something that tragic had happened.

But even they weren't to you into the stories and speculation about the house. One of her daughter said, I feel there's something kind of there and kind of not. When I went into the basement, IT was dark and I was scared. And when I went in there, I was like, get me out, get me out because I felt there was something there .

and I didn't want to go near IT. I mean, yeah would feel like this some .

kind of vibe yeah even if it's not .

like haunted or like like the event know it's like, right it's just survive that sometimes .

there because the energy that always the energy that's a dark energy ark sinter by what happened and there and I like that stuff doesn't just like .

go to dissipate exactly.

But according to dn Davis, from the moment he moved in with their kids in two thousand and eight, they were constantly asked by the neighbor's and even paraNormal enthusiast if they would ever open the house for doors. And it's my literal home. No.

that's that's a wild. yeah. no. Your neighbors imagine .

walking up to your neighbor and me, like, are you ever gonna open this place up door?

Yeah, like, has fucked up everything I have. Have people thumps through IT for a couple box. Like some.

like older people died here at the end of their lives. yes. And then a poor Young man was brutally murdered.

What there to see? Yeah, you just want to walk through my house. You can feel if it's creepy. I'm not good, but I think it's still rumors that yeah, really added everything. Oh yeah. But he said I had a lot of fame that people would want to come by and have a tour of the house. It's like third, it's listed like third in the united states as on the houses and maybe that time as of twenty sixteen yeah i'm not sure if it's still is but according to the lifelong boys y resident and content creator for boys y radio station once seven, nine light F, M, Michelle l. Heart said, there are so many rumors about the house, everything from a create serial killer who killed multiple people in the home to IT being a front house for boys y state where brothers frequently saw blood .

running down the walls. Are we gone more of that? Yes.

that's stories of a woman dressed clothes from the eighteen hundred standing in the window. okay. IT is interesting. None of that makes sense.

No right? no. Um SHE did clarify that the house was actually never used as A B su front house but its association with the mr. Murder gives that a certain legitimacy and credibility that allows that speculation of the amours to grow in the year since anio Rogers was sentence, the house has been owned by a handful of people and not a lot of those people put a lot of effort or money into its curren al, which kind only added according to heart, there are multiple vehicles parked on the property. What appears to be trash piled in the second story window, broken windows and debris over the front porch.

I mean, that will do IT yet. Not great.

Well, hurt herself has never gone into the house or onto the property. She's been collecting stories from those who suppose they have in one story from a Young woman named lacy. But her best friend's father owned the house and hired his daughter in some friends to do some yards work in cleaning.

And he said, we worked, therefore, about a week. Nothing we had ever happened when I was inside, but I did not want to go near the basement. And then others had more detailed experiences, according to one of hearts respondents referred to as dan d.

We were upstairs in one of the side bedrooms when we heard someone walk upstairs, didn't think much of IT thought I was the, but then we heard IT again and we never heard anyone go downstairs mean, and my friend b went to check IT out. We thought I was someone working into a house. We checked everything out, don't see anyone, so we go in, stand on the porch to let whoever was there, no, or watching if he comes back.

I just thought I was tired until be asked me if I was seeing this stuff too. We figured out that we weren't looking for a person. I stepped out into the front yard and look up to the bean bedroom. Upstairs in the window was a big black oil looking like. I doubt what i'm seeing until IT moves back toward the dressing stops, goes to the door .

and disappears. Oh.

that's creepy and oil looking big black oil looking thing. Hate IT. Now, like dn d.

Another respondent, Christie, also saw an explicable things in the windows, SHE said, when I lived on leadville when I was a kid, I saw a woman in an upstairs window banging on IT. IT looked, was screaming, but there were no sound. That's terrifying, horrifying. I got chilling.

So a lot for a lot of people, it's like that seems like people who don't live in the house, experience says, but for those who actually lived in the house, the experiences are much less supernatural, uh, and they just have more like an ominous feeling. But there's finites something there. According to A B, S, U.

Student who rented a room in the house, the basement was creepy and had a weird feeling to IT. We would take people down there to scare them. I never saw any ghost, but you could tell something wasn't quite right. And it's the basement, the basement yeah which makes yeah.

that's where like a really bad shift happened. exactly.

So whether or not the house is truly haunted as a matter of debate for those who are interested in finding out for themselves, they actually might finally have the chance in spring.

In the spring of twenty twenty four, mark iverson, the creator and tour guide of idea history, began advertising upcoming tours of the house on linden street, and according to him, he quote, hit ted off with the homeowner, and the two of them are working together on opening the inside of the home for tours. And a portion of the proceeds from the tour will reportedly benefit the. Of the mansion in the property.

which is nice, that's good that I will go back to like yeah .

Carry the property. Yes.

because IT sounds like for a long time the property that wasn't being maintained .

and that's feeding into all like the low yes, that's Better. Yeah, I think so too. Wow, but what a storing uh.

that is a tail.

It's a tail.

I've never heard of that. Never this place .

dave suggested and actually comes out .

with these one thing .

that i'm like, well, shit. Well, should dave? Shit, dave, did you end up seeing if I was on a list and I look.

i'm not seeing IT on any the list i'm looking up, but there's so many list now IT could be on another one that i'm like, who knows which one that person was looking? I looked at one point, I didn't see IT, but he has really just something like I, A whole thing that makes sense, probably the one of the most pointed places. And I do home, yeah, for sure.

But what? What a tail? what? What a sad, sad tail. Yes, I would want to go poor is yeah that's the thing that like what happened to president was like so like brutal .

and and that he was running down the .

street trying to get help I know and like those poor people who like.

you know poor .

clinton yeah like poor clinton like like nobody blames that. You like hesitated for a second. Like nobody the right thing .

and called the police. I mean, you did yeah dispatch if anybody failed. Yeah really like that was yeah the dispatcher film, not a great dispatcher moment.

Poor clinton. Poor the people who you know like, that's that's rough.

The neighborhood like that, waking up .

to that .

in .

your neighborhood.

interesting. Yeah, interesting tale together in a tragic tale. Really scary one. yeah. That is the murder of president burr and the boy murder. So keeping I because you might be able to take out if you want to, that's think, can you wanna do? That's your deal.
