Chapters

Nehemiah faced opposition from Sanballat and Tobiah while rebuilding Jerusalem's wall. He responded with prayer, setting a guard, and having workers carry weapons while building. Despite the threats, the work continued with half the people building and half guarding.
  • Nehemiah's response to opposition was prayer and practical action.
  • Workers built the wall with tools in one hand and weapons in the other.
  • They slept within the walls for protection.
