And I want to know how you feel about the Alabama-Tennessee game coming up. I'm not overlooking Vandy, and I'm not overlooking – it's the third week in October. Third weekend. You know. I know exactly when it is every year. I love it. We know when the Alabama-Tennessee game is. And I want to get your thoughts on the Alabama-Tennessee game. On the third Saturday in October. Now that you've seen Alabama play Georgia, you've seen Georgia play because you all have to play Georgia too.

Well, first off, I have to address, it's not a gaudy orange. It's a beautiful orange. It's not. It's not. It really is. You can say whatever you want. That's not an easy word to rhyme with. No. But. I don't know where they picked that color. It wasn't your fault that they picked that color. I get it.

It's not good. But I think it really looks good. Nobody likes it. Yeah, well, anyway, so let's get on. Well, Tennessee fans love it. They love it because they have nothing else to go with. But go ahead. They love it. Anyway, it's a great color. But I will say, to get on to something...

tangible and worthwhile talking about. Yes, yes, yes. I'm with you. Some arbitrary colors. Y'all have a great team this year, by the way. Well, thank you. And I will say, watching the Tennessee, I mean, the Alabama-Georgia game, I had different feelings, you know, about that, especially about, really about both teams. Yeah.

Alabama is a lot. To me, that was the most complete game they played all season. Well, a complete half. Yeah. Complete half. Okay. Yeah. Because, you know, you kept looking up and it was like another touchdown, another touchdown. And so that was my first thought was I'm glad Tennessee is not playing Alabama on that game, you know, because teams, they play differently sometimes. But

I think Milrow, he's tough. He's better than I thought he'd be. Because I was thinking, okay, typical running quarterback, can't throw. He's making some good throws. No, he's throwing dimes now. He's making some good throws. So, I mean, we do have Alabama at home, which does help.

But I don't know. That would be a – I mean, still, even though we've recently beat Alabama, it still would be a big deal if you were to win. And that's a couple weeks down the road. It is. Yeah, it's two weeks because Tennessee has Arkansas at Arkansas, then Alabama at home. And we're playing out there in Knoxville. And usually when we wear white, we play better. But I'm not taking that into account. So what's going on this weekend? Who plays who?

As far as, I'm not sure. We played Vanderbilt here in Nashville. Okay, so you've got, you know. Oh, my God. Vanderbilt has been playing Vanderbilt. It'll be a home spread. Anybody know the spread? I don't know. I went to an Alabama-Vanderbilt game one time years ago when we played Vanderbilt here, and it was solid crimson all the way around. Yeah.

Until you got to the Vandy band. Hey, can I have some? And it was black. But it was crimson and black. And that happens at every Vandy home game. It's a home team or home game for whoever they're playing. Yeah. But man, I like, I love, I don't love Vandy, but I like Vandy. Right. They're actually playing good football this year. But here's what I wonder. That stadium is trash.

Why do they have such horrible facilities? The baseball stadium is beautiful. But I have to tell you, as an Alabama fan, when we come up here and play, it's the most enjoyable place.

to sit in and watch your team play in because you're right there. There's not that many seats. 30,000. I think it's 30,000. Is it 30,000 or 40,000? It's so uncomfortable. But you're right there, and it's like watching a high school game. But there's Alabama playing Vanderbilt, and it's like watching a high school game. You're right. It's incredible. I agree from that. It's incredible. And I don't know about the facilities. Dude, we've been to some of these facilities. We've been to the Alabama facility. We've been to Ohio State facility. Let me –

Amazing. So last year, the show you guys came out to Tuscaloosa. Yeah. That day, me and Rich and whoever went to the gym to work out and they brought us to the facility where the players were. Jason couldn't bring himself to do it, could he? Let me tell you something. I was I mean, we've been to most of the NFL places. The Alabama facility is amazing.

It is amazing. I couldn't believe how good it was. It's state-of-the-art. It's completely modern. It's unbelievable. Ohio State, all the big major programs have this. I mean, obviously, Vandy isn't a big program, but the facility is just not great. It's just not great. And it's such a great college football town. Nashville is such a great college football town. It is a good – like Neil was saying, it is a good game if you want to watch some SEC football or, like I say, watch your team play.

They've got a really good tailgate area, you know, and Saturdays in the fall are great. It's just something different to do, and the tickets generally are not that expensive. So it is kind of a fun thing to do, and you really get close in and watch. You guys are saying this as visitors, though. I know, but Vandy makes most of their money off of visitor tickets. They buy all the tickets. That's just disheartening to me. It really is. You know what my question is? Mm-hmm.

is who's going to be the first college team to build a billion-dollar dome? Because it's coming. With the NIL now, it's pretty much... One of those SEC teams. Ohio State, Alabama, Texas, somebody's fixing to build... Texas, maybe. Probably Texas. They're fixing to build a big old dome, like Jerry World. Texas. You're probably right. Texas. All right. That's where we'll be. They'll probably do it first. If you just look at where the money is, seriously. It's...

They do it right. I mean, seriously. Like in Texas, like you go down to Cowboys facility. It's coming. The big dome's coming. How many touchdowns does Bama win by? Vandy? No, Bama. I know, but I mean over Vandy? Yeah, against Vandy, yeah. Yeah.

As many as they want to, Kurt. Vandy's – I can't take anything away from Vandy because they're playing good ball right now. They've been playing tough. Oh, okay. They beat Virginia Tech. No, no, no, no, no. This is my college football. Here we are. No, they beat Virginia Tech, and they believe. And it's like you better – I mean, we're going to win. We're going to win by three touchdowns probably. I don't know that. Kurt, three touchdowns we're going to win by. But Vandy's not going to make it easy. I'm just going to say that.

I'm trying to see. They're scrappy. Oh, God. Very scrappy. They're scrappy. Who does UT play? UT plays Arkansas at Arkansas. Are they any good? No. Yeah. No, they're not. No, they are good. Tennessee's going to beat them 51 to 14. No, I mean, I think the spread is 14. Hey, Kurt, can I interrupt real quick? Please. This is madness.

Alabama is going to destroy Vandy. Probably. I'm just being nice. You're like three or four touchdowns. I'm being nice. As many as they want. No. As many as they want before they pull the starters. You forget how much money Vandy has. We're in a different era right now. I feel like making a bet right now about how much they're going to win by. Three touchdowns is what I said. Three touchdowns. I'm taking more.

I mean, three. And I don't even know. Because when y'all start talking NFL, I'm going to take a nap over here.

All our listeners are waiting for me and Cricket Talk NFL. Like Alabama-Vanderbilt, that's not a very interesting game because it's Alabama and Vanderbilt. So I agree with you. It is. It's a scrimmage. But Tennessee-Arkansas, that's not a sweeper. You're at Arkansas. It's like playing Auburn. You never know what you're going to get. Arkansas just came off of a very tough loss on the road.

And so they're going to be hyped and everything. It will be. It does make a difference. And they're good. I like their coach. And so it'll be a good road win for sure. It's amazing to me how Try That in a Small Town podcast is now a

a sports podcast. Well, this is a spinoff. You know why, though? This is our first fall as a podcast. It is. We're so excited. And it's so exciting. And I will say, watching the Alabama-Georgia game, there is a... I'll get it. That excitement and SEC football and a good matchup, that's great atmosphere. Yeah, yeah. Stadium was buzzing. Of course, Trump was there, too. It's a great atmosphere, and you should be proud of that program. Yeah, 100%. Kalo...

Do you know how good your team is, or do you need to play in Alabama? Do you know right now? I think UT is good. They are good. What's been the toughest test so far? They operate cleanly. I know, but what's the toughest test they've had so far? Oklahoma. At Oklahoma. Now you can argue now, and you can say, well, Oklahoma's not that good, but nobody knew that going in. And Norman, that's a tough place to play.

It really is. And it can get really loud. Norman's not that bad. What I saw the other night was, I mean, you better be ready. I mean, that Alabama team is quick. They got to play Georgia. You know? They got to play Alabama, Georgia. Who else do y'all have? Tennessee's not going to beat either of those teams.

I would have a different bet. There's an asterisk beside Tennessee this year. I would say, as an educated fan, I think they split those games. Really. We have to play them in Knoxville this year. I don't know. I think it would be a tough pull. And as you know,

What we saw, Alabama-Georgia game, you just don't always see the same team. You see completely different teams sometimes. I 1,000% agree with that, especially in college. It happens in the NFL too, but one week does not translate to the next. You get a different game, you get a different team, it's a different environment, you never know. You're drawing me into the college football thing, though. The Georgia-Alabama game was...

There's going to be four to six SEC teams probably at the end of the year in the playoffs. That's my prediction.

It's so tough this year to get in, and they're going to have a tough time picking the top 12 teams. Well, even watching that game as a non-fan of either one of those two teams but a fan of college football is that it really doesn't affect the loser because they are quality teams. They know it. And Georgia slept in the first –

first half. But it's going to motivate them. If they get in the playoffs. If they play next weekend. I don't care if they lose another game. They're in the playoffs. Well, let's talk about another college team, the Miami Dolphins. We have a good college matchup. A college matchup. I'm going to go pour a drink while y'all talk NFL. Are we doing any picks? Are we doing a pick? Like you have Bama, Tennessee.

This weekend is Patriots-Dolphins. Oh. Yeah. It's a big week for Dolphins. It really is. It's rigged. Neil.

I'm trying to learn about college football. You should do the same. I can appreciate great athleticism. I can, but I've seen rigged games. I don't think they're good rigged. No, I think some of the refs, they're so in the tank. It's unbelievable. I don't know about that. I've lost faith. Go ahead, guys. I'm going to go through text messages. Just real quickly.

I don't think the Dolphins have a chance. No, without Tua. No, they've scored one touchdown in the last three games. Tua's got one more game, right? He's got two more games. He's coming back. I'm going to send out a plea to the Pats and say, please, let's... Start the rookie. It'd be a good game to do it. Let Drake May play this game. Yeah. Another suffering a defeat...

With Jacoby Brissett at the helm again, we're just spinning wheels. As a fan, I'd rather suffer with the future. Put in the rookie. Yeah, I agree. I mean, it's going to be, you know. It's the game to do it.

It really is. I mean, let them get in there and make some mistakes and try to manage a game. You're spoiled just like the Patriots fans are spoiled just like Alabama fans are. No, that's not true. It's not true. Yeah, you are too. It might be more spoiled. Between the Patriots and Alabama, there's so much crystal to go around. It's unbelievable. And we're so spoiled that we want to keep it going forever.

to keep our normal life. I'm actually glad we're sucking again because it weeded out all the bandwagon fans because we picked up a lot through the years. So when I was a kid, the Pats were terrible. And then the GOAT came along and we rose up. We are back down again. So what's the big game in the NFL this week? Let's touch on one game. Man, I want to get your take. Ravens-Bengals.

I'm talking about Derrick Henry, ex-Titan, who we're all fans of. Amazing. 100%. Where do you play college ball? I can't remember. For some reason, it's made in Alabama. You know, I love the Ravens to me because I'm not a huge Lamar fan. But the other night, you know, they put it to Buffalo. They put it hard to Buffalo. And they used Derrick Henry to do it.

And they're going to be a tough team to beat if Derrick Henry is used like that. Yes, I agree. That's right. They're using him like the Titans should have used him. Yeah. And it's successful. The Titans never used him what he should have been used for. But go ahead. No, you're right. I mean, if Lamar uses or if they use Derrick Henry like that,

That could be tough. Yeah. And speaking to the game this weekend, I'm a Borough fan. I think he's clutch and money, but I don't think they have a chance. They're not playing great.

If Baltimore plays like that, Baltimore should literally run all over him. No, I totally agree. And real quick, let's touch on one more matchup I'm curious about. Burles, he worried about what he's wearing when he walks in. Hey, Burles is great. I agree, though. He drives me crazy. He's really great, GB. Well, he lost his mojo a touch. He's been hurt.

It's called ego. He can't stay healthy. He's a great TV. He's great. He's such a good quarterback, and it's a shame. They just won, correct? The first game. The first game. So very much like the Titans so far. Yep. Yeah. Well, real quick, Bill's Texans –

That's a good game. I think the Bills are a rebound. You think so? Yeah. Man, I don't know. And I love, I mean, Allen's great. I mean, Texans, though, man, it's a high-powered offense. You know what I mean? I mean, and Stroud is the real deal. So I don't know. I'm going to go Texans. All right. You know? Where's the game? In Texas. Oh, tough. What do you got? I don't know.

I was trying to wake Neil up. He's over there telling me to wake up. I was telling him I was rude. Well. You know. But we didn't. Is it rude? Did y'all do your picks? You did a couple games? What do you got? Alabama. Got a couple games. Alabama. All right, so I'll do two. So Tennessee, Arkansas. At Arkansas, I definitely give Tennessee the win. Probably by 16, I'm going to go there. And then you got Ole Miss and South Carolina. Oh, that's going to be a good one. Lane Gibbons, a great coach. I didn't think about that one. And I think Ole Miss in that one.

You know? Yeah, they're pissed. I just don't think South Carolina put up the points. After the Kentucky loss, they're pissed. And I'm just not a huge fan of South Carolina. You got there too, K-Lo. I got Ole Miss. Okay. Craig, I got one more. Okay. NFL. Cardinals and Niners. Niners are banged up. Is Kyler Murray for real? Well, for real, that's a... He should have played baseball. He had the opportunity, right? I mean, he's a good baseball player. I'm going to say Niners.
